I’m currently taking a gap year after graduating high school, which means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to walks, playtime, and overnight stays. Whether it’s a weekday or weekend, I’m available to give your pet the attention they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
I always make safety my top priority. I take time to learn each pet’s routine and follow instructions carefully. Whether I’m at your home or out on a walk, I keep things calm, safe, and fun. You can count on me to treat your pet like part of my family.
Information Johnathan W. would like to know about your pet
Before a stay, it helps to know your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medications, including doses and timing. I also like to know how they feel about strangers, kids, other animals, and common triggers like loud noises or thunderstorms. Please share any allergies, health issues, or past injuries, plus what treats and toys are safe and what training cues they know. House rules are important too (furniture, crate use, yard rules, off‑limit rooms). Finally, having your vet info, emergency contact, and what you’d like me to do in an emergency makes it easier to keep your pet safe.
A typical day
I match activities to each pet’s age, energy level, and personality. For dogs, that can include walks, fetch, tug, sniff games, and simple training practice for extra mental exercise. For calmer or older dogs, I focus on gentle walks, slow sniffing, and cozy hangout time. For cats, I use wand toys, laser pointers (if they like them), and food puzzles or treat hunts. The goal is to keep them entertained, tired in a healthy way, and feeling loved while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I’ve had pets my whole life and love spending time with all kinds of animals. I’m the person who always gets down to play with the pets at any house I visit. I’m a certified Wilderness First Responder, so I know basic pet and people first aid, which helps me keep pets safe and happy. I’m caring, patient, and always make sure every pet feels loved and comfortable while you’re away.
Reviews

Johnathon was absolutely amazing taking care of our golden retriever puppy, German shepherd, hamster, baby chicks and cats. Has left our home cleaner than any rover before and we could not be happier. Will definitely be our go to!

Johnathan took great care of our two Corgis in our home while we were out of town for a week. He is responsible, trustworthy with great communication and we knew our boys were in good hands. We received daily reports with daytime and evening photos, and immediate replies to our texts. We returned home to two happy and well-cared-for dogs. Johnathan is very conscientious and I recommend him without hesitation. We look forward to using him again.

Jonathan was a great pet-sitter. He was timely and attentive to our pets for the weekend we were out of town recently. We didn't have to worry about our animals being lonely, particularly our geriatric dog, Petey. We highly recommend him to anyone who needs pet care!
