I work full time, I have Mondays and Tuesdays off if you want the most attentive care. I will always make your pets feel safe and cared for no matter the day of the week. About: My super strength as a pet caregiver, is my interest in getting to know an animal's personality and working mindfully and respectfully with their nature. I prioritize safety, trust and attention. I've taught young children and raised kittens, puppies and chickens over the last twenty years. As a lover of Great Pyrenees (having raised three) and cats, I have great respect for the subtle and obvious efforts our animals use to communicate with us. I'm experienced with all ages. Senior pets are very dear to me. I've had the honor to provide comforting care for my own animals and provide tender touch, medications, dietary support, and a calm presence through their final months. I also love training and nurturing puppies. I am available to provide individualized day and overnight care for your pet(s) and plants. Contact me to discuss your short-term or longterm needs. I am especially interested in helping people feel at ease during holidays and vacations by providing qualified, experienced multi-day pet care. Mindfulness, kindness, and experience guide my services. I'm happy to travel to care for pets in the comfort of their home or mine! My place was designed for Great Pyrenees. I have a large, protective deck and fenced yard for supervised off-leash, outdoor time.
“Carmen is the best! I love the photos she takes of Meatball when she’s checking in on him so I don’t have to worry about him when I’m away. I think he likes her more than me 🙂”

“Eva was awesome! She was super responsive and did a great job caring for our dog Otto. She made sure to keep us updated for her entire visit. We are so grateful for her help! We will definitely have Eva watch Otto again in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and have taken care of dogs, cats, horses, and goats! I love animals and I am a biology-pre vet major at the University of New England! I currently work part time 3 days a week. Which leave me with the lots of time to help out with your pets! I am available in the mornings and most afternoons. I have a nice big yard for yours pets to enjoy and I have lived with dogs my whole life so my house is definitely fit for a dog!
“I highly recommend Victoria when you want peace of mind when you need someone to look after your furbabies! She is so great with Joey and is one of the few people that I trust.”

About: I recently adopted a Cockapoo named Lucy. She is a total sweetheart and loves people and other dogs. I previously owned my own Boxer, Ava, for 9 years. She passed away 2 years ago and so I started working for Rover to share my love, compassion and support to dog owners seeking companionship and enrichment activity for their dog. I am available to watch your dog during the week or weekends. Need a break from your dog so you can enjoy “me” time or have a nice weekend? Then reach out and contact me! I am a huge animal lover and therefore I am available to assist with daily activities (feeding, medications, potty time) and enrichment (walk & play time) including overnight boarding. I am a home owner that provides a 'cozy' and healthy environment. I have a large backyard and live in a nice area in Kennebunkport. I will always have your dog on a long leash to allow him/her to roam safely with me tagging along. I am someone who is very structured and believe that providing consistency & structure to a dog is very important. I do not believe in striking or hitting any animal no matter the reason. I will treat your dog with care like it is my own.
About: I have had experience with dogs of all sizes since I was 12 years old, including experience in pet sitting. A very flexible schedule to fit your needs! I am currently working part-time and taking college classes twice a week. I am available mornings including early mornings, nights, and have options for mid-day stop-ins! I have a fenced-in back yard and an open front yard. I live in a quiet neighborhood perfect for walks, and have crates accessible if needed.
“Becca did an amazing job taking care of our 2 kitties! She sent thorough updates and pictures so we knew how things were going. She was very easy to communicate with and always responded quickly. One of our cats is on medication, and she was able to administer her pill and provide detailed updates so we didn’t have to worry about our cat’s chronic health issues. She went above and beyond taking care of the house, even taking out the trash for us when it got full. She was very detail oriented and we knew the cats were in great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Liz is wonderful -- she was able to accommodate us over the holiday weekend on short notice when the forecast was too hot to be able to travel safely with our dog Skynet. She was awesome with him, and very understanding of him being a little excitable around new people. Would highly recommend contacting Liz for any needs you have!”

“I needed a cat sitter two weeks after moving across the country so I was obviously very worried and Nishat was absolutely perfect!! She was so responsive and kind at the meet and greet, I have a very shy kitty and she was so incredibly patient with her, by the end of the week both of my kitties loved her and I will definitely be booking with her again!!!”

“Kate was wonderful!! She took great care of my dog, Niko, while I was traveling. We met to go over his routine then the evening before I actually had to leave his routine changed due to him not feeling well. She was flexible, understood what was needed and did a great job caring for him! She communicated each day on how he was feeling, and took pictures and videos of him during her visits. I would highly recommend her to care for your fur baby. I would use her again without a doubt. Thank you, Kate!!”

“Isabella helped me out on short notice when my typical sitter became unavailable, and she was awesome. Reliable, experienced, friendly, and flexible with our schedule. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for about 5 years now. I have had a golden retriever and frequently watched my family’s GSD, maremma, and lab. I love walking and playing with medium-bigger size dogs but love all dogs regardless. I currently am a graduate student working part time so i’m flexible in terms of timing to walk dogs. I typically would prefer completing walks before 9am but we can work out a schedule that suits us. I like to create a safe and loving environment for my pets, they are family after all. Frequent outside and play time are a must with meals on time.
“Cora was awesome! She was reliable, responsible and kind. Our pet loved her. She sent us updates and allowed us to have a stress-free vacation knowing she was there to take care of/administer medication to our cat. We highly recommend her. Thank you Cora for doing such an excellent job!”

Casey is seriously a life saver and has taken care of our dogs with so much kindness and compassion. She had taken care of one of our boys from the first week we had him and he is now 1. He loves her!!! She also has helped our rescue pup adjust so well and has taken the time to come and meet him so he felt comfortable. Now he is just as in love as our young pup. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone who wants a reliable and flexible person who cares about their fur babies as much as you!

We hired Jillian for an evening of in-home pet sitting for our 11-month-old Westie, and we couldn't be happier with how it went. Our pup was a little hesitant at first (some classic Westie barking!), but warmed up to Jillian within just a few minutes — a great sign. Jillian sent thorough updates throughout the night, which gave us real peace of mind, followed our puppy's nightly routine to a T, and was completely respectful of our home. We'd happily book her again!

Nikki is fantastic! I was nervous to book a new sitter outside of my regular, but I was immediately put at ease when Nikki arrived. She was patient with my anxious dog, and asked great questions about providing the best care for our rabbit. While we were away she gave us plenty of photos and even videos detailing how they were, that she was shutting the window for the evening, etc. In these videos we could also tell how comfortable our animals were with her, which made being away so much easier. I am confident that if anything out of the ordinary were to happen while she was caring for our pets, she would go above and beyond in a heartbeat to do whatever she could to help. I will ABSOLUTELY be booking Nikki again!

Emma saved the whole day! This was our first time using Rover, and Emma made it easy by being communicative. She was kind and flexible enough to meet River ahead of time, which made us all feel super comfortable with leaving our baby in her care. McRib seemed very comfortable with Emma and we would 100% book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
