I am all about following your exact instructions, as I pet owner myself I know that keeping their schedule is super important especially regarding feeding! I am totally happy to send you photos each time or videos of us playing, as I know it’s hard to be away from your pets, and trust someone to care for your pets. They truly are family. I want to prioritize your pet feeling safe with me, and I am very patient and willing to put in the time to build trust between your pet and I.

A typical day
I’d love to take your dog on a nice walk, let them smell all the smells they can! We can play fetch, and if you have enrichment toys such as snuffle mats, puzzle/slow feeders or kong toys to get some of their energy out, I’d gladly use those! On walks, I like to head towards little parks, and open spaces where they can be free to run around. I’m also a sucker for a good beach walk once the weather warms up!

Pet care experience
As a young girl I always dreamed of having a dog, but was never able to have a dog of my own. However, I was able to take care of many of my neighbours dogs instead, and it began to feel like I had not one, but 4 dogs to call my own, even if just for a little bit. I soon became the go-to dog sitter in my neighborhood. I’ve had plenty of experience walking dogs, spending time throwing the ball around, giving lots of belly rubs, and plenty of treats. I have had experiences with dogs of various sizes, from my uncles 4 pound chihuahua to taking care my sisters Rhodesian ridgeback. I have spent several nights at my sisters house, taking care of her two dogs overnight and providing the two active dogs plenty of enrichment. At home, I have a special needs cat, and I am very versed having grown up with cats in my home as well, in taking care of felines, and in addition special needs cats. I am willing to administer medications as well.

Nikki is fantastic! I was nervous to book a new sitter outside of my regular, but I was immediately put at ease when Nikki arrived. She was patient with my anxious dog, and asked great questions about providing the best care for our rabbit. While we were away she gave us plenty of photos and even videos detailing how they were, that she was shutting the window for the evening, etc. In these videos we could also tell how comfortable our animals were with her, which made being away so much easier. I am confident that if anything out of the ordinary were to happen while she was caring for our pets, she would go above and beyond in a heartbeat to do whatever she could to help. I will ABSOLUTELY be booking Nikki again!
