“Marlena is the best! My pittie and rottie love when she comes to pick them up for a walk. She treats them like family and brings them on great adventures. She is communicative, responsible and kind. Would trust her any day with my fur babies.”

“Abigail is so wonderful! She checked in on my precious Bubba and sent me adorable pics of him enjoying their walk through the neighborhood. I work long shifts and her updates helped set my mind at ease. Would absolutely book again, 10/10!”

“Theodora took Jerry’s walk request at the last minute! I am super grateful for her help. She walked Jerry and was super patient with his shyness. I am so glad to have had her help! Thanks again!”

“I have a zoomie little dog who Jack took great care of on two last minute walks. Jack responded quickly to the request which was a relief when needing to book something in an emergency. Finn even got in a little jogging and cuddles. Thank you, Jack!”

“Jillian related to our little pug from the first visit. Often it's not easy to get our pug to walk, but Jillian takes her as she is and gets her to do her business. Minnie is in good hands when she's with Jillian. Thank you, Jillian!”

“Connie was awesome with Flyer and great at communicating with me! She was more than willing to come by before the time I needed her in order to meet Flyer and give him a short walk so that he could become comfortable with her. I will definitely be reaching out to her first the next time I need someone to watch my dog!”
“Carmen did a great job with our Beagle, Jay-Jay! She responded quickly to a last-minute request, communicated clearly, and gave prompt feedback on the walk. We really appreciated her help, as it made our vacation much more stress-free.”

About: I am an animal lover who specializes in house sitting, pet enrichment, compassionate care, walks and play. All ages, 1 on 1 care. Very experienced with senior dogs and high needs situations. I am extremely communicative and love sharing photos of your furry friends. I am just like you! I have owned pets my whole life, I know how much they mean to our families and your boundaries and their health matter most to me. Happiness is everyone cared for and safe. You’ll see through my over 50 5 star reviews that I truly do care. This is not just a gig for me, this is a path I’ve chosen. I love to be outdoors and am an organized individual. It’s been a busy year and I’ve grown a beautiful clientele on Rover. I try to be as flexible as possible, my availability is always up to date but never hesitate to reach out and see if we can arrange something, I am always willing to flexible with my rates as well. I truly enjoy house sitting, leaving your place better than you found it and making your life as a pet owner simpler, with trust. Because I do not book multiple animals at once, my calendar is filling up fast. My best advice for booking is to plan far ahead and if you’re a new client, please allow time for meet and greets. My family and I have a full setup just waiting to accommodate a pup in need of a stay. We have animal beds, toys, A yard (not fenced in) with a chain run and lots of neighborhood to walk in! We also have a disabled/elderly person in the home with so much love to give to animals with a need for more affection and who can ensure someone is with your furry friend if we need to run an errand. We love a dog park or beach run if that’s what your pup is into (though I reserve field trips for more well acquainted clients), and our car is well equipped with baggies and h2o bowls to make sure any trip is safe and fun.

About: I recently adopted a Cockapoo named Lucy. She is a total sweetheart and loves people and other dogs. I previously owned my own Boxer, Ava, for 9 years. She passed away 2 years ago and so I started working for Rover to share my love, compassion and support to dog owners seeking companionship and enrichment activity for their dog. I am available to watch your dog during the week or weekends. Need a break from your dog so you can enjoy “me” time or have a nice weekend? Then reach out and contact me! I am a huge animal lover and therefore I am available to assist with daily activities (feeding, medications, potty time) and enrichment (walk & play time) including overnight boarding. I am a home owner that provides a 'cozy' and healthy environment. I have a large backyard and live in a nice area in Kennebunkport. I will always have your dog on a long leash to allow him/her to roam safely with me tagging along. I am someone who is very structured and believe that providing consistency & structure to a dog is very important. I do not believe in striking or hitting any animal no matter the reason. I will treat your dog with care like it is my own.
About: Hi! I’m Khaila, I provide warm, reliable care with a focus on making every pup feel safe, happy, and at home while you’re away. I live in a cozy, dog-friendly home near the coast and love exploring local trails and parks. My Frenchie, Stuart, is a good boy who loves making new friends. I understand how important your dog is to your family, and when they’re with me, they’re part of mine too. 💛 I work from home most days and I perform better with a dog in my lap or at my feet ☺️ We’ll take breaks, walks, play at the local dog park, play at the beach, or hike local trails each day. When I’m visiting your home for care while you’re away, my focus is on playtime, walks, or just getting that energy out while ensuring your pets have all that they need. When they’re with my family, they’ll play hard, relax hard, and wag harder.
About: I have had animals my whole life and have experience caring for a diverse range of pets, including dogs, cats, and other small animals of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. Even with a full-time job, I prioritize pet care by managing my time efficiently. I have flexibility in my schedule to ensure pets receive the attention they need for walks, feeding, play, and companionship. In a client's home, I maintain the same level of care by adhering to their pet’s routine and ensuring their environment stays clean and comfortable. I provide regular updates to the owner and follow any specific instructions they leave. My priority is to make pets feel safe and happy, whether they’re with me or in their own home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Saco
I scheduled Emma for a walk with my dog Harley, and she was absolutely wonderful. I am an anxious dog mom, and Emma was prompt, reliable and even sent photos from her walk. She went above and beyond, fed my pup her lunch and followed instructions perfectly. I will definitely ask Emma to help with Harley again!

Peter was great. Came for a quick meet up the day before. He was quick to reply, punctual and a great sport about my pup jumping all over him. He sent lots of pictures and updates over the time he was with my pup and I arrived home to find Piper calm and relaxed even though we had been gone for almost eight hours. Peter's walk and visit were just what she needed. I would definitely book Peter again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
