About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have had my own my entire adult life . I’ll take care of your pets as if they were my own! I work full time in the dental field, but I’m available weekends as well as Friday evenings! Please feel free to ask if you don’t see availability on the calendar and I will try to accommodate! I will abide by your wishes as to how your dog/cat is cared for. I want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as he/she can be without you home
About: I am a force-free dog trainer and am currently enrolled in a Masters of Science degree in Applied Animal Behavior. I am CPR BLS Recover certified and have a B.S. in Animal Science. I have two dogs and two cats of my own. I can administer oral, SQ, and IM injections. I work full-time Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I live on a large piece of land with a fenced in space and private wooded trails. My primary concern is always with an animal’s well-being, physical or mental. I will meet your pet where they’re at and provide compassionate, trustworthy, patient care. Like any person, their needs are unique, and I care for anyone else’s pet like I would my own. *** I do not use, support, or condone aversives in dog handling or care. This means that I will not use aversive tools (e-collars, prong collars, choke collars) or methods (leash-popping, yelling). ***
About: Hii!! I’m a patient, caring sitter with 3 years of experience of caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I’m skilled at giving medications, calming anxious pets, and provided the attention your furry baby needs. I’m happy to send frequent updates to keep you at ease, treating your pet with all the love and care they deserve. I am currently looking for some time to spend with pets when I am not working. I have a passion to be with animals and it brightens my day to help someone and spend time with a cute furry pet. I love to be active and create an environment that the pets can thrive and be loved. I have free time throughout the week to tend to their needs and get them out of the house or play with them to get their jitters out. For dogs, I love to play with them and go for walks or runs so they can go explore. For cats, I make sure their environment is clean and give them constant snuggles and comfort.
“Andy has been walking my dog fairly regularly for over 6 months now and I can’t recommend him enough. He is always timely in his response and communicates very clearly. I would recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a loving and responsible dog walker.”

About: I have had pets my whole life and have been pet sitting for the past five years. I have come to know these pets that I have watched as family members, but have since moved back to California! I have experience with cats and dogs, both my own, and other people that I have watched as well as a few bunnies and even some rats! I am happy to help with cleaning around the house or small gardening activities if necessary during longer trips or anything else that might be necessary for someone to have a comfortable vacation! I hope I can be your go to pet sitter for years to come! I just moved back to the area so I have a part-time job at a winery till about 6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but can work around that (just ask!) or any other day of the week! I love making pets feel comfortable and sticking to their given routine. I feel that when the parents are out of town, it can be stressful so keeping things as normal as possible is incredibly important! It’s great to go on walks for dogs and just to have some time lounging around for cats playing with one of their toys. I have experience with mildly aggressive or reactive dogs and semi feral cats and know some tips and tricks to make them feel more comfortable and less scared upon meeting me for the first time.
About: I am an animal lover who specializes in house sitting, pet enrichment, compassionate care, walks and play. All ages, 1 on 1 care. Very experienced with senior dogs and high needs situations. I am extremely communicative and love sharing photos of your furry friends. I am just like you! I have owned pets my whole life, I know how much they mean to our families and your boundaries and their health matter most to me. Happiness is everyone cared for and safe. You’ll see through my over 50 5 star reviews that I truly do care. This is not just a gig for me, this is a path I’ve chosen. I love to be outdoors and am an organized individual. It’s been a busy year and I’ve grown a beautiful clientele on Rover. I try to be as flexible as possible, my availability is always up to date but never hesitate to reach out and see if we can arrange something, I am always willing to flexible with my rates as well. I truly enjoy house sitting, leaving your place better than you found it and making your life as a pet owner simpler, with trust. Because I do not book multiple animals at once, my calendar is filling up fast. My best advice for booking is to plan far ahead and if you’re a new client, please allow time for meet and greets. My family and I have a full setup just waiting to accommodate a pup in need of a stay. We have animal beds, toys, A yard (not fenced in) with a chain run and lots of neighborhood to walk in! We also have a disabled/elderly person in the home with so much love to give to animals with a need for more affection and who can ensure someone is with your furry friend if we need to run an errand. We love a dog park or beach run if that’s what your pup is into (though I reserve field trips for more well acquainted clients), and our car is well equipped with baggies and h2o bowls to make sure any trip is safe and fun.
“Ashley is so caring and thoughtful! She wants me and my dog to be comfortable, and really understands animals and thier needs. I feel very safe having my dog be taken care of by her! Thank you Ashley!”

About: Need a sitter you can trust? I’m your person. I’m looking to connect with more great pets and their people! I’ve been pet sitting for over 18 years and have had animals of my own since childhood. I genuinely love befriending pets and giving them the consistency, attention, and comfort they deserve while their people are away. I’ve cared for all types of pets and farm animals and am happy to adapt to whatever each one needs. Medications, special diets, anxious pets, specific routines, or a dog who thinks every walk should be an expedition? I’m on it. While I’m newer to Rover, I’m definitely not new to pet sitting. Most of my experience has been through word of mouth and repeat clients who trust me with their animals. I have great reviews, and many of my happiest clients have simply shared my name with others looking for a sitter. I’m also a pediatric Occupational Therapist, so being attentive, responsible, and adaptable is very much part of who I am. I take just as much pride in leaving homes spotless and well cared for as I do in caring for the pets. I’m dependable, communicative, and easygoing. I’ll follow your instructions, keep you updated while you’re away, and make sure your pets get the care and companionship they’re used to. Beach walks, hikes, fetch, couch cuddles—or respectfully sitting across the room while your cat decides whether I’ve earned their trust—I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. Reliable care, a cared-for home, and peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my day—I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time and energy to give your pet the attention they deserve. I genuinely love being around animals, and it brings me joy to care for them, whether it’s a morning walk, midday check-in, or overnight stay. I’m happy to adjust my routine to fit your pet’s needs. I believe pets are happiest in their own space, surrounded by familiar smells, routines, and cozy spots. That’s why I prefer caring for pets in their home—whether it’s house sitting or drop-in visits. It keeps things stress-free for them (and you!). Every pet is different, and I take the time to get to know what makes yours feel safe, happy, and cared for—whether that’s sticking to a feeding schedule, playing their favorite game, or just offering quiet company. Have special requests or unique needs? I’m all ears. Let’s work together to create a care plan that feels just right for your furry friend.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bar Mills. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

- 99% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
