About: I’ve always had dogs in my life since I was a little kid. Unfortunately, my current residence doesn’t allow me to have any of my own. I am an avid runner and mountain biker, and would love to help out local pet parents by tiring your pups out! I am a merchant marine, meaning I go out to sea to work for long periods of time. I am home for equally as long periods, with nothing but free time! I am very familiar with working with pets of all needs. I worked at a kennel for 4 years and cared for dogs and cats with all sorts of special medical requirements.
About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routines, and needs — from playful pups to calm seniors — and I adapt my care to fit each one. With decades of experience in caregiving, I bring patience, reliability, and a gentle touch to every visit. I am newly retired and have plenty of time to play with your pet. I am an energetic person who loves to walk and hike. keep up with your pet is no problem for me. I keep pets safe by following owner instructions, securing the home, monitoring behavior, maintaining routines, and giving constant, loving attention and supervision. Safety is important to me.
About: Since I was a teenager I have had friends, family, and neighbors entrust me with the care of their fur babies. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and even chickens. I currently own 3 rescue dogs, a cat, and my own small chicken flock. 2 of my 3 dogs are on the harder side of the rescue realm, so I understand some pets can take more patience then others. I work primarily from home, with an occasional office day mixed in. Most days I can be available on my lunch hour, as well as other times of day depending on what else is going on. I have some flexibility with my job. Your pet's safety is a number one priority. General safety within the home should be discussed ahead of time. And any special things to watch out for. I happen to have a dog who will eat absolutely anything left on the floor, so any special safety concerns should be discussed.
About: I have at least two years of experience working in Emergency Veterinary Medicine, where I've been trained to take all dogs of any size or behavior for walks and care for them during their stay at the hospital. I own a large pup myself, so size doesn't scare me! I'm a great communicator, very responsible, and love each and every pup (or kitty!). I am typically more available to work in the early mornings or mid-afternoons, but I'm flexible and can work whenever if given a day heads up! I would love to take your fur baby for a walk, long or short! I can also work with dogs that aren’t leash trained, or tend to pull on their leash, as I have experience with all dogs. I'm also comfortable playing with your dog indoors for additional stimulation on rainy or snowy days, especially if they are senior pups!

About: *Please note my profile had been deactivated from 2019 to October 2025 while I built my family and had children, so you will not see any reviews during that time. I have taken care of a few dogs and cats in that time when it worked around my kids schedule and am happy to provide those references if you wish. If you want your dog to have the best care possible, then look no further! I have over 15 years experience working with animals. I grew up on a horse farm in rural Maine and have been around animals my whole life. In addition to owning two dogs of my own, I have fostered dogs and puppies for years and know how to handle all sorts of situations and types of dogs from seperation anxiety, high energy, senior dogs to puppies. Every dog is unique and I will always cater to the each dogs individual needs and I will always adhere to your instructions. Please feel free to contact me to discuss my services and qualifications. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! *Don’t be afraid to ask me about custom reduced pricing for shorter visits, etc.* I work from home with a very flexible work schedule so I am available to care for your pets at all times for boarding or stop in for visits at most any time during the day I have a large fenced yard and a very friendly yellow lab who loves to play with others. All animals in our house are considered part of the family and I will take care of your pets as if they were mine.
“Kristen is an amazing dog walker! She went above and beyond to make sure our dog was taken care of while on our week long honeymoon. She walked him, played with him, made sure he had food and water after the walk and when he had an accident, she was so kind to clean it. We can not recommend her enough.”

About: As a fellow pet owner (1 black lab and 2 cats), I understand the need for our fur friends to be checked in on during the day when we can’t be around! Looking forward to dropping by soon! 🐾 My summers are spent primarily getting my school-aged kids around to different activities and I have the flexibility to help out with your pet-care needs! Let's chat; I'm happy to help out on a regular or short-term basis! Please let me know if there’s any prior knowledge of escapee tendencies and what precautions should be taken to make sure your pet(s) and I remains safe at all times! I have two kids who are very familiar with dogs and cats - please let me know if I should refrain from having my kids with me during a visit with your pet(s).
About: I have a human-reactive 3 year old dog so I am very aware of anxious/reactive behaviors. I have lived with at least dog one for the last 6 years so taking care of dogs (mine or someone else’s) is something I’m very comfortable doing and I enjoy it! If it's nice outside, I love taking them outside to play fetch or even just lay around in the grass. My goal is for your dog to be entertained while you're gone so they'll be happy, tired, and excited to see you when you get home. If you'd like anything specific done, I’m happy to make sure any requests are accommodated. I am fully vaccinated. I’m able to work from anywhere during the week so I can drop in during the day if your pet is needing some mid day exercise or just a potty break. I have experience with raising my own puppy so I have no problem keeping both eyes on them 100% of the time. If they like their space, I’m happy to give them that as well. I’ll make sure to keep them on the same routine they’re used to and follow any specific instructions you provide.
About: Both of my parents were dog breeders while I was growing up, so I have life-long experience with puppies and adult dogs. I train Tamaskan puppies on my mom’s farm. I work well with cockapoos, corgis, plott hounds, Dutch shepherds and retrievers, since they're breeds I'm used to. I'm positive, however, that any dog can be charmed, and have never run into one that I couldn't. I volunteered at shelters and groomers growing up. I did an animal behavior project in Highschool for an extensive period of time. I worked with a 2yr dog with mange and seperation anxiety for 8 months. In 2 months she was house trained, crate trained, whistle trained (for speed while walking:slow or speed up, heel) and knew basic commands. Uses safe vegetable and fruits for dogs as treats. I also have experience with cats, rats, birds, turtles and snakes. Any extra pets will be charged more for care if required of me. On vacation, so I have spare time to spend with some cute animals! I have a cat, but I take care of Tamaskans a few days a week. I love going out for walks with a dog. My first week staying with my sister was amazing because she has 3 dogs (1 foster) that are all super high energy.
