Fern was nervous at first meeting and staying with new friends Gus, (their dog) and their 2 children, but she was wagging her tail and so excited to go back to their house the following day! Fern got extra walks, and even went to the beach with them! We felt very comfortable leaving our baby In their care! I also appreciated getting text and picture updates of how Fern was doing throughout the day. I would definitely reach out to Cody and Cassidy again for dog sitting when we are in the area.”

About: I’ve been a loving parent to both cats and dogs for 25 years. I love animals and am happy to accommodate walk schedules, medications, injections, and of course, lots of playtime and scritches! My pup and I do pretty much whatever we want, whenever we want. I have a flexible work schedule and am often at home, so can accommodate desired potty break and walk times, medications, preferred activities (beach, dog park, hanging out at the house.) My pup is always ready for company and activity, but knows when it’s time to relax. I live in a private house set far back from the street, with a large, well kept (but unfenced) 1.5 acre yard. My dog, Pepper, is an extremely social, playful, but chill and well-behaved 5yr old neutered Jack Russell mix. He loves playtime with other dogs, but is respectful of the quieter styles of older dogs or dogs just needing rest. I have a comfy crate suitable for small to medium dogs (if you crate), lots of toys, and lots of time to engage with your sweetie. The area surrounding my home is safe and quiet, with many options for woodland walks. I live near dog-friendly beaches and the Saco river, so splashing is an option, too! If your dog has good recall, I can provide off-leash time in the 1.5 acre yard. I have a front porch with a protective gate to keep the sunbathers from getting out, and lots of space for indoor play time and resting as well.

From puppies to seniors, I have walked and pet sat all temperaments and ages of dogs. Additionally, I have a year and a half of basic dog training experience, which also included working with reactive and anxious dogs. Being fluent in dog body language is essential! Subcutaneous injections are also a part of my skill set, as I used to have a diabetic cat that needed insulin injections twice daily as well as a client that needed Adequan injections twice a week. I am available any day of the week for walks and drop ins from about 7am - 8pm. “After our meet & greet, Shorty was so happy to go back to Vicky & Bobby's, he couldn't wait to get out of the car. They have a great house & awesome back yard perfect for dogs. Their dogs Magic & Brooklyn were great with Shorty, & he sometimes has problems with new dogs. Vicky sent me great pics every & really put my mind at ease, seeing Shorty livin the doggy life. Vicky even brought Shorty to work with her at the pet hospital where she works & I know he loved that. Travis, Bobby's brother was also really great & Shorty warmed up to him right away.
