“I'm only hours home from my trip, but made it my first priority after unpacking to review my experience with Trisha and Dan, who "pet-sat" our dog Piper this weekend. Piper is attached at the hip to my wife. He was a dog that was found abandoned on the street, abused, and has a bit of what we think us PTSD. He gets VERY nervous if you are not right at his side, cannot stay alone, etc. Unfortunately my cousin suddenly passed away and were needed a dog sitter so we could attend services out of state. Very nervous that it would be hard on Piper to be without us, (and knowing we couldn't put him a kennel-type environment with his anxious personality), we spent hours on DogVacay looking for the perfect host. Trisha got back to us within minutes (talk about professional!). She was so awesome and detailed, and we knew right then that Piper would be in good hands. Piper stayed with Trish and her husband in their gorgeous home in a safe, quiet neighborhood (with a fenced in backyard) for 2 days, and they were excellent at communicating with his. They're such good people- so kind and friendly and love animals. Piper is now home (though I'm not sure he wants to be!) I've said jokingly "Piper- Do you want to go back to Trisha, Dan, and Stout's house?" and his ears perk up and the tail starts wagging. They are the best of the best, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are forever grateful to them for taking Piper on such short notice and taking such good care of him!”

About: I grew up with a Maine Coon and currently have 2 cats of my own. I got my first cat at 15 that I have been the sole caregiver of since then. About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.

About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. About: I have been pet and house sitting for 15 +years. I have worked with all different types of breeds of dogs, as well as the those with medical needs, and special diets. I have 4 dogs of my own, ranging from 3 years - 8 years. The smallest being a silly frenchie and the largest is a malinois. “Oh my gosh. I can’t say enough good things about Marna. We were gone to NY for almost a week and she boarded Serge and watched him, all during the recent snowstorm. We got daily posts and updates to show how he was doing. Made us feel very secure about using Marna in the future when we travel. I think Serge got a little spoiled actually. “Jaclyn and her family were so great with Tilly! I’m so happy to have found them. They took Tilly for an overnight with pretty short notice. This was our first time boarding her and she has a bit of separation anxiety, so I was a little nervous to see how she did. But I could tell from the videos they sent of her meeting each dog and then the updates they sent throughout her stay that she felt right at home and was having the time of her life. She’s passed out cold now which is always a good sign. Thanks so much Jaclyn and Eric!”

“My dog - Munchkin - stayed wtih Jeanne for a day while we did some sightseeing. Her place was clean and well kept. She was warm, calm and friendly and we felt that we were leaving our dog in good hands and felt the same when we picked her up. She had a small fenced enclosure with small to medium dogs and a larger fenced enclosure where she promised to walk the animals for some exercise. She also addressed my concerns about having my dog have some space or separation from her other dog guests as our dog wasn't that accustomed to lots of dogs at once. I would use Jeanne's service again without hesitation. ”
