“Lauren is a pup professional and our little dude, Rip, loves her. She’s reliable and always willing help when in a pinch! Even confirms and enforces our training practices during her visits. 10/10!”

“Becca is an a great dog walker. Our puppy can be mischievous and Becca was very good about managing her silly puppy behaviors. She was also flexible when I requested her to come a little earlier on a couple occasions. Highly recommended!”

About: I was a Certified Veterinary Technician in Colorado. I have been a dog walker in NYC and in Denver, I have walked many different breeds, and loved them all. I currently have 4 cats, two senior cats, one previously feral, and one with special needs. I am experienced at administering medication to both cats and dogs. Before I had cats, I had a Belgian Malinois/Australian Shepherd mix, so that's just to say I am also experienced with some of the more high energy and higher maintenance breeds. I have a good amount of availability these days. I currently set my own schedule of taking care of pets, and teaching private ballet lessons. I would offer dedicated care and attention to your pet while you are away. I'm happy to spend time playing or interacting with them as well as covering their other necessary needs ie. food, water, medications, bathroom breaks, or litter box cleaning.
“Abigail is so wonderful! She checked in on my precious Bubba and sent me adorable pics of him enjoying their walk through the neighborhood. I work long shifts and her updates helped set my mind at ease. Would absolutely book again, 10/10!”

“Ashley is so caring and thoughtful! She wants me and my dog to be comfortable, and really understands animals and thier needs. I feel very safe having my dog be taken care of by her! Thank you Ashley!”

“Theodora took Jerry’s walk request at the last minute! I am super grateful for her help. She walked Jerry and was super patient with his shyness. I am so glad to have had her help! Thanks again!”

“Catherine was absolutely great with our dog Maple. She did a meet and greet and asked thoughtful questions to ensure she knew the ins and outs of walking our pup. Catherine managed Maple incredibly well and took care in providing detailed rover cards of how the walks went!”

About: Hi! I'm pretty new to the community and have fallen in love with Maine. rates dependent on walk length and are negotiable!I work from home and am involved in the community. I took care of my dad for ten years (he had ALS) and am very compassionate and patient with caregiving. I'm here to help! I work from home five days a week 10-6, but am totally flexible/can swing by to take care of your sweet pets! If you prefer I stay at your house for a longer time to watch your pet, that works for me as long as I could bring my laptop. I don't currently have pets in my home, though I am allowed to bring small pets in as needed. I do have a large backyard.

“Kiley is amazing! We needed someone to fill in last minute to walk our pup while we were away, and she was so quick to get back to us. She's just wonderful with our dog, will definitely call her again the next time.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Tyler! From the start, his communication was excellent—he asked all the right questions to get to know Bailey and made sure she was comfortable. It’s clear they truly care about the dogs they walk. We loved the sweet photos and Bailey came back happy and well-exercised. We feel so lucky to have found such a great walker and highly recommend Tyler to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet caregiver!”

“Courtney was wonderful! She was prompt and communicative. She was very considerate of my requests including Blue's hurt toe- so she took Blue on a shorter gentle walk and then gave her some fun time in the yard. I will definitely reach out to Courtney again!”

About: Hi there! My name is Clay and my Frenchie’s name is Vana. I am a work from home professional and dog sitter with years of experience caring for all types of pups. I am a huge animal lover and have always had a soft spot for dogs. In fact, I currently have a furry four-legged friend of my own who brings so much joy to my life. I understand that leaving your dog in the care of someone else can be stressful, which is why I go above and beyond to make sure your pooch is well taken care of while you're away. I am reliable, responsible, and will always put the needs of your dog first. When it comes to dog sitting, I offer a range of services including overnight stays, day care, and drop-in visits. I am comfortable with administering medication if needed. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! As someone who works from home, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. I am able to take breaks throughout the day to attend to the needs of the pets in my care, such as providing food and water, taking them for walks, and giving them the love and attention they need. I also make sure to set aside dedicated time for pet care in my schedule. For example, if I am providing overnight stays for a pet, I will plan my work around their needs to ensure they are well taken care of. Overall, pet care is an important and enjoyable part of my daily and weekly routine, and I am dedicated to providing the best care possible to the animals in my care. When caring for pets in my own home, I make sure to create a comfortable and safe environment for them. This includes providing plenty of fresh water, a clean and cozy place to sleep, and any necessary toys or other amenities. I also make sure to keep a close eye on the pet to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or issues that may arise. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I follow any specific care instructions provided by the pet owner and make sure to keep the home clean and tidy while the pet is in my care. I also keep a close eye on the pet to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Additionally, I am happy to follow any routines or schedules the pet is used to, such as feeding and walk times, to help make their time away from their owner as stress-free as possible.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog parent to Otis, my energetic Golden Retriever. Caring for him has given me hands-on experience with puppy training, daily exercise, feeding routines, crate training, and all the joys (and occasional messes!) that come with raising a happy, healthy dog. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with a companion, I’ll provide attentive care tailored to them. I treat every dog as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting your furry family member! I have a rotating schedule that allows me to have flexibility each week with some weekend and weekday availability! I strive to be available for anything from last minute drop-ins to 2-3 day long stretches for long weekends or midweek trips! I have a yard to allow your fur baby some outdoor play and also love exploring nearby walking paths and beaches! On the other end of the spectrum I have a nice big couch for those fur babies that just want a relaxing cuddle session. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
