About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

About: 35 years of experience caring for dogs, puppies, kittens & cats. I’m good with anxious dogs & scaredy cats. I have a flexible schedule, let me know how I can help. I am currently doing Rover full-time. For many years i have lived in homes with pets and helped care for them. Currently living in a home with 1 cat, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. We have a fenced in yard, but i’m always out there with them. I try to take as good care for your animals as if they were my own.

About: While I am new to Rover, I have lots of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family. My whole life there’s been a rotation of dogs in my home (my parents never bothered getting a dog because we watched our friends’ so often) and in recent years I frequently do house visits to feed and entertain pets. I have had a cat before who I loved wholeheartedly and I would love to take care of yours. Please consider me as a candidate to help your family. Thank you! I have a flexible work schedule, so I can dog walk almost any time of day. However, I am not home all the time if your pet needs 24 hour care. For overnight jobs, happy to take your pet to my house or stay at yours. House is not puppy proof but I would be happy to set up an area for them. I have no pets at home.
