About: Hi! It's nice to meet you (& hopefully your pup too)! I'm Lindsay, an active, responsible, and caring pet-sitter who treats each pet like they're my own. I've had plenty of animals around since I was born & I've dog & cat sat for friends and family a bunch over the past 10+ years, from quick stop-ins for food & water to walks & overnight visits. About: I have cared for dogs throughout my life including my own, my family, and friends. The dogs have ranged from puppies to older adults with boarding in my home and their own. I live on the first floor of my building and there are no steps for senior dogs to have to worry about. While I do work as a teacher full time, my weekends are very open to care for dogs. I typically take a walk one to two times a day on my own through the neighborhood so adding a dog companion along would be very easy. We also have a cat who loves dogs with many dog toys of her own that she can share! I have a one bedroom apartment with no stairs so it is easily accessible for dogs of all mobility ranges and ages and I can keep an eye on them throughout the day. While we do not have a fenced in yard, we do have access to a field next door at an elementary school and neighborhoods to walk in with little car traffic.

About: I've always loved animals, work for a veterinarian, have 2 dogs of my own (ages 13 and 16!). In addition to caring for the pets of friends and neighbors, I just genuinely love interacting with animals. I work part time for a veterinarian, so I'll have a lot of time to help out with your cats and dogs! In addition to basic needs, I plan to play snuggle and love on your pets. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. I am comfortable giving oral medication and upholding your dog’s schedule, house rules, and love to take field trips whenever possible. My favorite is when a dog can come with me everywhere, so smaller senior pups have become my specialty, but I can’t help but love all the dogs who come along. About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life, and especially love taking dogs on walks where they get to lead with their noses. I wish I could get a pet right now but since I can’t, I love helping out other pet owners to get my dog and cat fix! About: I have cared for animals from dogs to horses to chickens since childhood. I have had greyhounds for the last 8 years and am familiar with their idiosyncrasies, but am happy to walk and sit dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am a teacher, so during the summer I have a flexible schedule for sitting and walks. During the school year, I can board for weekends only. My dog is used to 3 walks a day in the neighborhood and an before-bed potty break, with some trips to trails and parks to keep things interesting. I live on a quiet dead-end street. I do not have a yard, but there are lots of sidewalks for neighborhood walks on leash, and a trail in the woods within walking distance. If your dog likes car rides, we can also go for adventures on other trails. I have a friendly, 6 year old greyhound, Turtle, who gets along well with medium and large dogs, so any boarders must play well with others and be up to date on shots, including kennel cough, and parasite screenings!

My sweet pup was in an accident and required lots of specific care such as wound care and medication administration for many months. He has a super friendly dog and she was good company for Maya.”
