About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. About: I have cared for dogs throughout my life including my own, my family, and friends. The dogs have ranged from puppies to older adults with boarding in my home and their own. I live on the first floor of my building and there are no steps for senior dogs to have to worry about. While I do work as a teacher full time, my weekends are very open to care for dogs. I typically take a walk one to two times a day on my own through the neighborhood so adding a dog companion along would be very easy. We also have a cat who loves dogs with many dog toys of her own that she can share! I have a one bedroom apartment with no stairs so it is easily accessible for dogs of all mobility ranges and ages and I can keep an eye on them throughout the day. While we do not have a fenced in yard, we do have access to a field next door at an elementary school and neighborhoods to walk in with little car traffic.
About: I enjoy being outdoors and exercising, so adding a dog makes it that much better! My favorite activity is finding new parks in Portland, so adding your pet is a perk! Exercise and care are the most important aspects of pet care. I am currently not able to have my own dog, so this is an excellent outlet for me to destress and make some money. Also, prior to college, I owned a dog for 7 years and still dog-sit occasionally for friends. Housesitting is one of my favorite ways to hang with your pets. I also love drop-ins and regular walks! About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

They took him on many varied walks and on one of them even got him a pup ice cream, had cuddle time, time for play and rest. He returned home calm, confident and tired. I am currently doing Rover full-time. For many years i have lived in homes with pets and helped care for them. Currently living in a home with 1 cat, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. We have a fenced in yard, but i’m always out there with them. I try to take as good care for your animals as if they were my own.

About: I’ve grown up in the outdoors and with a love of taking care of animals. I have always been relied on as someone who can be called on to help take care of a furry friend. While I can’t get a dog of my own right now, I love having animals around to spend time with and join me on my day to day experiences and outdoor adventures. Currently working hybrid remote from home that allows me lots of freedom in my schedule. Depending on the animal, I would move my work around their needs. I can offer frequent walks and check-ins. When working remotely, they will be with me at all times. When in office, there may be times that they will be alone for up to 4 hours. Depending on the animals/owners needs I can be flexible to training schedules if that is something they would like support with.
About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. I am comfortable giving oral medication and upholding your dog’s schedule, house rules, and love to take field trips whenever possible. My favorite is when a dog can come with me everywhere, so smaller senior pups have become my specialty, but I can’t help but love all the dogs who come along. As a videographer and Maine youth basketball coach I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule and spend a lot of time working from home editing videos. I’m fairly active, always happy to take breaks from work to walk around the neighborhood or find a pet-friendly beach to run around on. I’m in an apartment very close to Deering Oaks Park and the Western Prom. The apartment is a compact second story walk up and has been carefully maintained to keep it safe for curious noses.
