“Madeleine is kind, responsible and great at checking in with photos! In fact, she took one of my favorite pictures I have of my kitty, ever. Highly recommend.”

About: Animals have always been the center of my world, from growing up with pets to pet-sitting countless dogs and cats across NYC. My two cats, August and Ivy, are the absolute loves of my life - My goal is simple: to provide your beloved pets with the exact same high standard of care, safety, and affection that my own two companions receive at home. I work in the office 3 days a week, but I have an hour for lunch and live only 7 min from my office. If close enough I will be able to check in midday as well as morning and after work. I have a fenced yard, though my cats are indoor only I have taken care of my neighbors dogs and enjoy playing fletch for round after round after round. I am organized and will have notes based on what you need for each drop in, will supply pictures, be there on time and stay the whole time. Having used rover myself I know how integral these things are!
About: I have been caring for both household and friends furry companions for many years. I personally care for Two dogs, Two goats, a rabbit and 2 cats regularly. I'm relied on to walk, feed, play with and bathe many types of furry friends and am passionate about learning how to care for each animals individual needs. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly schedule alongside my work as a professional nanny. As a caregiver, I’m organized, dependable, and used to following individualized routines. I carefully plan my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, exercise, and care they deserve, whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special care instructions so I can provide consistent, individualized care. I believe in clear communication and will keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your booking, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. As both a professional nanny and experienced pet sitter, I understand the trust involved in caring for a beloved family member, and I treat every home and every pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own.
About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life, and especially love taking dogs on walks where they get to lead with their noses. I wish I could get a pet right now but since I can’t, I love helping out other pet owners to get my dog and cat fix! I just moved to Portland and am applying for work in conservation and/or education, so have a very open schedule as I continue my job search. I am usually gone on weekends out in the woods somewhere, but am around the city on weekdays! I cannot host pets in my home, but will happily visit your home and make sure to follow all pet care instructions you leave for me!
“Maureen took care of our elder cat babies while we were away for the holiday. She walked us through the entire process and was very knowledgeable. We had never used this type of service before, but it was necessary due to daily meds. Maureen was easy to get ahold of and we felt our quirky cat babies were in good hands.”

“We had the pleasure of having Barbara watch our 8 month old kitten! To help with the separation, Barbara sent daily pictures and messages. Very kind and thoughtful, highly recommend!!”

“She was very helpful. She gave my cat his medicine while I was out of time and kept him company. I really like the communication and photos she sent of my boy.”

“We so appreciate Lindsay's help! She leaves excellent notes and takes great photos of her work. Will happily call on her again in the future. Our dog can be nervous with some people but is already excited to see Lindsay when she comes by. 5 stars from our dog and us!!”

“Katey is an all star! Even when a health complication for our cat occurred right before we left for vacation she was able to help us handle it. We returned to 2 happy kitties.”

“We just moved to the area and adopted a 9 week old puppy- I was nervous about finding a sitter but Meagan went above and beyond to help the transition. Absolutely recommend her, she showed Tebow so much love!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about our pet sitter Jesika She took incredible care of my 16-year-old, 5-pound Yorkie and treated her with the gentleness and attention she truly needs at her age. She walked her, fed her, spent quality time with her, and made sure she was always comfortable. Her communication was outstanding — she kept me updated constantly, sending messages and photos so I never had to worry. She was respectful, reliable, and genuinely caring from start to finish. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like their own, I absolutely recommend Jesika. She went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for the peace of mind she gave me.”

“10/10 experience. Jackiellen was extremely kind, communicative, sensitive to my overwhelm lol. She was able to give Soph her meds in just a few minutes!! Excellent experience all around. We’ll be in touch for future visits.”

About: I’m a lifelong pet owner and caregiver with experience across a wide range of animals. Dogs have always been at the heart of my life—I currently own a senior dog named Ralphie, and my last four dogs were all adopted as seniors. I’m very comfortable with walking, feeding, administering medications, and following detailed care routines, especially for older pets. I also grew up in an extremely pet-centric household. At one point, my family cared for five dogs and four cats at the same time, so I’m very familiar with busy, multi-pet environments and the structure required to keep everyone healthy and happy. Beyond dogs and cats, I’ve helped care for fish (both freshwater and saltwater), reptiles and lizards, rodents, and birds, and I understand that each species has unique needs, routines, and sensitivities. I’m calm, attentive, and respectful of the fact that pet parents care deeply about how their animals are treated. My goal is simple: provide reliable, thoughtful care so your pets feel safe and comfortable—and you feel confident while you’re away. Please note that I also carry liability insurance above and beyond what is already offered under Rover’s guarantee policy. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m currently in between jobs, which gives me open and flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, and consistent care throughout the day. I enjoy building my schedule around pets’ routines rather than squeezing them into limited windows. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits, as well as last-minute requests when needed. I value reliability and consistency, and I like knowing I can give pets my full attention without rushing. When caring for pets, I work exclusively in my client’s home, where pets are most comfortable and routines stay consistent. I follow all instructions closely regarding feeding, walking, medications, and household rules, and I’m very mindful of maintaining your space exactly as you left it. Safety is my top priority. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and harnesses are secure, double-check medications and feeding instructions, and remain attentive to any changes in behavior or health. I take a calm, respectful approach—especially with senior pets or animals who may be anxious or shy. I understand that trust is essential when someone is caring for your pet in your home. I communicate clearly, provide updates as requested, and treat both your pet and your space with care, responsibility, and respect.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have always considered pets part of the family. I grew up with dogs and currently spend lots of time with our family’s high-energy Blue Heeler mix, who keeps me active and reminds me how much enrichment, exercise, and attention dogs need to thrive. I’m also a lifelong cat lover. My 19-year-old cat recently passed away after many years together, and during his final years I provided extensive care, including managing daily medications and supporting him through several medical needs. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and animals who need a little extra patience and attention. I currently volunteer walking dogs at the Animal Welfare Society, where I love getting to know dogs with all different personalities and energy levels. I especially enjoy working with active breeds who need extra exercise, mental stimulation, and adventure. If you have a high-energy dog who loves walks, exploring, or getting outside, I’d love to help! I’m happy to provide everything from neighborhood walks and drop-in visits to longer adventures like day hikes for dogs who are ready for a little more activity. I work full-time, so my availability is focused around evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled visits. I am available for overnight stays in your home, and I’m happy to provide cat sitting, drop-in visits, and care for pets who benefit from a little extra attention while you’re away. For dogs, I offer walks and visits during my available times, with a special love for active dogs who need exercise and enrichment. Weekends and holidays are great opportunities for longer walks, outdoor adventures, and extra quality time. I’m committed to providing dependable, thoughtful care that fits your pet’s routine and helps them feel comfortable while you’re away. My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re away from their family. I will follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and their preferred ways of receiving attention. When caring for pets in their own home, I understand that maintaining their familiar environment and routine is often the most comforting option. I will treat your home with respect and provide updates so you know how your pet is doing. For pets staying in my home, I provide a calm, safe environment and tailor their experience to their individual personality. Cats will have a quiet space to settle in and, depending on their comfort level and my availability, can have supervised access to explore and interact. When I’m away, I prioritize safety by providing a secure, comfortable area where they can relax.

“Maria was an incredible drop in cat sitter. I can’t recommend her enough. She sent so many photos of my kitty and gave him so much loving. Definitely will be having her take care of my kitty again.”

“Justine watched our two cats while we were away for Thanksgiving. She was very responsive and updated us with pictures and a note after each visit. We really appreciated her flexibility and attentiveness over the holiday!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East End
Hanna was terrific. She sent daily photos and updates -- super responsible, communicated clearly and even dealt with a deceased mouse, which was no fun for her. Autumn the cat was relaxed and herself when I returned after a long trip. She's long-haired, the cat this is, and her fur was brushed out and untangled when i returned home. After the trip, Hanna checked in to make sure all was okay.

Meagan was a complete star! She helped us out at the last moment, and came aboard with a positive attitude and an attention to detail. We are so grateful for her daily updates and detailed notes -- they really put as at ease. Would highly recommend, and hope to have Meagan sit for us again in the future!

We are so grateful to have Anna as our friend of Nahla while we travel occasionally. She faces Nahla's occasional old lady grumpiness with treats in hand and wins Nahla over in a minute. I especially appreciate Anna's use of the Rover card so I know exactly when Nala is out and about and whether or not she peed and pooed and what she ate and when she's back home. To have such thorough communication while we are far away is a great comfort.

Lindsey was professional and clearly a dog person! Our pups had a great time playing with her. She sent pictures and updates so we were never wondering how they were doing. My dog got super muddy and she cleaned her up and also took care of the messy towels. I would absolutely trust her to care for our pups again!

Molly has been just great taking care of our two cats. Her communication with us is exceptional, and her photos are wonderful! She is so reliable, and we really feel like our cats are being pampered. We shall continue to book with her and recommend her highly!
