“Stacey did a wonderful job caring for my two cats. They seem very happy and I am grateful to have had them so well taken care of. Stacey even picked up our mail while we were away which was extra nice of her!”
“Anna was great! She took care of our dog and reported back very thoroughly. He was such a happy camper - highly recommend using Anna to care for your fur baby.”

“She is a fabulous pet sitter. Always appreciate her level of communication and how much she cares for our kitties. We travel what seems monthly and she’s our go to sitter!!”

“Trevor has watched our cats, Mira and Wren, twice and he’s been fantastic every time. He’s super responsive with messages, sends adorable photo updates, and takes the time to play with them and keep them comfortable. Thank you so much Trevor!”

“Madeleine is kind, responsible and great at checking in with photos! In fact, she took one of my favorite pictures I have of my kitty, ever. Highly recommend.”

About: I am a pre-vet college student looking to spend some time taking care of people's furry friends this summer. I have basic animal first aid training, I am pretty well versed in senior care in cats (having had a few of my own), and I LOVE working with/training puppies and young dogs. I'm happy to work with any age, size, energy level, and temperament of animal -- just tell me their favorite treat and we'll get along great :) I'm available for pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking! My rates are negotiable, especially since I'm new to Rover. Message me if you have questions! I'm home for the summer, so excluding a few one-time conflicts, I'm free and clear! I would be happy to set up a repeating walk schedule. I'm happy to work around any comfort level your pet has with new people. I'd prefer to do a meet and greet before taking them out for the first time, just to make sure that your furry friend is comfortable with me (or has at least met me) before we spend some time together.
“Jayson is my first choice always to care for my two cats! I used another sitter once and I very disappointed. Jayson gives the cats 2 meals per day and follows the directions for what to add to their food at each meal, he leaves the house clean and litter free and washes out the food cans and puts them in an airtight container, He is responsive and posts neat pics. Jayson is an awesome guy and caring cat sitter! Linda”

“Jesika is great! I can always trust her to be kind to my pets, give them attention and take good care of them! She is mature, responsible and caring. Highly recommended!”
“She is my cats’ favorite sitter! She’s able to get them to take their meds and they love her still! She was also able to adapt and still take care of them after a personal issue while I was overseas, which really soothed my worries about them.”

“Hannah was super cool and chill. We have anxious cats who do not like when we travel—Hannah clearly did well because they were both super calm and friendly when we got back. She sent lots of pictures and overall did really great. 10/10 for cat rating.”

About: In the past, I had a Rottweiler German Shepherd mix who was 100lbs. His name was Huckleberry. I loved taking him on walks, grooming/brushing him, and giving him lots of pets. My friends also hired me to take care of their dogs who ranged in different breeds and sizes. I also love taking pictures of all animals. You're sure to get some pretty pictures of your pooch! I am currently working part-time at The Maine Mall and have some free time to help out as much of the Portland dog loving community as possible. Dogs make me happy and feel good about what I do! I make sure your pet(s) are cared for by giving them plenty of water on walks, making sure they are not acting out of the norm (panting heavily/having heat exhaustion). I was working at a veterinary hospital in Chicagoland, so I feel confident at making sure your dog is well taken care of, kept hydrated, fed well, and that all the normal everyday tasks (peeing, pooping, breathing) are being well monitored. I will also send pictures/videos if I suspect something is not right/concerning. I hope to take care of your cute pooch soon!
“Katey is an all star! Even when a health complication for our cat occurred right before we left for vacation she was able to help us handle it. We returned to 2 happy kitties.”

“Katherine did a fantastic job looking after our cats! We have never had a pet sitter before so having one for the first time was a bit of a stress for my wife and I. Katherine eliminated all of our stress about our cats and made sure they were well taken care of. Receiving pictures of our cats every day was very comforting and the our cats, who are typically pretty shy around new people, seemed very comfortable with Katherine. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is need of a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and have had three dogs and two cats over the years. I’m currently raising a golden retriever puppy with my family and absolutely love spending time with dogs. Friends have always trusted me to watch their pets while they’re out of town because they know I treat every animal like family. I’m the kind of person who stops people on the street just to ask if I can pet their dog. Caring for animals genuinely makes me happy, and I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability to give your pets the attention, care, walks, and love they deserve. I care for every pet like my own, always putting their safety, comfort, and happiness first. I stay alert on walks, careful around other dogs, people, traffic, and our surroundings to make sure pets feel safe and secure at all times. I also have a fenced yard for safe play and experience caring for and crate training puppies since I currently have 2 dogs.
“Justine was fabulous with our cats and we will definitely request her again! Our shyest kitty warmed up in record time. She kept us up to date and was proactive with packages and such. 10/10!”

About: I have a cat, but love both dogs and cats. We recently moved to Portland and would love to spend my free time with your pet! I also have experience with elderly and disabled dogs so am able and willing to help out those with extra needs. ———————————————— ¡Hablo español! ¡Estaré muy feliz de cuidar de tus mascotas! In general, I am the most available on weekends and at nighttime. I have a busy schedule, but love to incorporate hanging with pets to help you and help me with stress relief! I only am offering services outside of my home—my cat is not friendly with other cats and would likely be eaten by a dog. My upstairs neighbor also has four cats that roam so it makes it difficult to sit for animals at my home.
Libbytown pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jackiellen is clearly a "cat whisperer" who immediately established an affectionate relationship with Amigo, who greatly enjoyed her visits with him while we were away from home. She did a wonderful job of keeping us informed about how he was doing, and we will definitely use her again on our next out-of-town expedition!!
