“In record time, Marna won over our socially hesitant older dog, and took excellent care of him. From meeting one, he seemed to sense her calming presence and responded to her positively. Usually, he'll bark and hide from someone new. It was great to see! Thank you, Marna!”

“Trevor has watched our cats, Mira and Wren, twice and he’s been fantastic every time. He’s super responsive with messages, sends adorable photo updates, and takes the time to play with them and keep them comfortable. Thank you so much Trevor!”

“Madeleine really helped me relax on my trip knowing that my senior cat was doing well. She sent photos and kept me updated, and was incredibly easy to work with.”

“Sera did a wonderful job watching my cat! She was on time, communicative, and sent super detailed visit cards that kept me at ease while I was out of town. She followed my instructions and also added some extras like hiding treats for enrichment and brushing that were much appreciated!”

“Brian was incredible! Our dog Davey has a very hard time warming up to others but Brian was very patient with him and Davey quickly calmed down around him. He also sent us regular updates and photos to keep us posted while we were away and met up with us before his first visit so we could all get to know each other.”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up in Alaska raising ducks, chickens, rabbits…even a ferret! I’ve always had dogs and a cats. I currently live with a senior pup and a young cat. We have several backyard chickens too! I worked as a professional dog walker/pet sitter for a number of years in Connecticut. I’m used to being outside rain or shine. I also know the importance of being able to adapt to each pets’ individual needs including special diets or medication. I work from home with a lot of flexibility so with proper planning and coordination I can be there to meet you and your furry friends’ needs. When staying at your home, I will treat it just as my own with respect and consideration for you and your family and your privacy. I am very tidy and will leave your home cleaner than you left it!
About: Ever since I was born, my family always had dogs in the house as they would often provide foster care, we also ended up adopting a few of them! When I was older, around 14, I began looking after and caring for animals from my friends and family. Because of this, I have great experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, reptiles and even pigs! I'm currently searching for a new job - so I have plenty of time to fit in animal care daily. For the meantime, I treat this as my part-time job! I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex. My apartment has doors separate my room and the kitchen, so its easy for me to watch animals within my space. There is also an enclosed outdoor area for easy walks!
About: I’ve always had dogs in my life since I was a little kid. Unfortunately, my current residence doesn’t allow me to have any of my own. I am an avid runner and mountain biker, and would love to help out local pet parents by tiring your pups out! I am a merchant marine, meaning I go out to sea to work for long periods of time. I am home for equally as long periods, with nothing but free time! I am very familiar with working with pets of all needs. I worked at a kennel for 4 years and cared for dogs and cats with all sorts of special medical requirements.
“Melissa is a wonderful cat person and caregiver. My shyer cat took to her quickly! She really enjoys her work and kept me updated. I felt safe in her hands. Would hire again for sure.”

About: I've been an animal lover of all kinds since I was very young--I used to watch the baby birds grow out of the nests on our front porch and help lizards hatch from their eggs in the backyard. Since I was a teenager, my family has taken care of both cats and dogs, and while in college I raised two kittens, as well as contributed with other students to the care of several beloved campus strays, some of which became indoor cats! I have experience with dog and catsitting, and love the outdoors. I'm working part time, four days a week, and have lots of time in the afternoons while the sun is still out or during the day when I am off work! I'm also available weekend mornings for walks, and can easily make stops to let any pets inside or outside or to make sure they are fed. I have both a car and bicycle, and can navigate around the area fairly well! What's most important to me is a pet's comfort and safety--respecting their boundaries and body language is my number one priority. Learning what they respond to, their own quirks and behaviors is key so I can align myself with them and earn their trust! I can walk dogs of all sizes, and I've been able to keep the trust of even the most skittish cats. Getting to know each pet individually is such a wonderful experience, because every one is so unique.
