About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. About: I’ve been an animal lover for my whole life! I have experience with dogs of many sizes and breeds, cats, cows, and chickens. Walking dogs is one of my favorite things to do. I have worked for a dog walking company for the past 3 years. Also, I have worked on multiple farms where I’ve cared for farm animals and dogs/cats. I will care for your pet as if they were my own! I’m working a remote part-time job which leaves me with plenty of time to walk dogs throughout the day and in the evening. Additionally, I have a very flexible schedule on the weekends. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

About: We love taking care of dogs! We are the go-to pet sitters for our friends and family, and now that we are up in Portland, would love to be the go-to sitter for your pup! We've cared for a range of dogs, from puppies to senior pups, and all sizes in between. We have a wonderful 5-year old rescue pup named Dill. He is extremely sweet and does well with other dogs at the dog park and obedience classes. We request that all dogs that stay with us for doggy day care or boarding are friendly with other dogs. We do have space to keep pups separated for breaks, if needed. We both currently work full time jobs away from home, Mon - Friday 9-5, so would not be able to care for dogs that can’t be left alone for the workday. We would still take your pup out for a lunchtime potty break! During the week, our evenings are typically spent at home and the weekends are usually open! We currently live in a large 1 bed apartment with our rescue dog Dill. Your pup would be the only additional dog that we care for and we would introduce them to our pup at a comfortable pace! We have a partially-enclosed backyard and are near the Western Promenade for adventures.

I have a flexible work schedule, so I can dog walk almost any time of day. However, I am not home all the time if your pet needs 24 hour care. For overnight jobs, happy to take your pet to my house or stay at yours. House is not puppy proof but I would be happy to set up an area for them. I have no pets at home.

I am currently doing Rover full-time. For many years i have lived in homes with pets and helped care for them. Currently living in a home with 1 cat, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. We have a fenced in yard, but i’m always out there with them. I try to take as good care for your animals as if they were my own.
