About: Iâve had dogs in my life as long as I can remember (32 years). Started with a Jack Russel, then a pitbull mix, and now have a wonderful 3.5 year old Canuncu mix rescued from Aruba! I work remotely and am home all day every day, and LOVE taking my dog out about once an hour, worst case once every 2! Iâve had two dogs since theyâve been puppies, and love the puppy phase - along with the older chilled out phase! I have dogsat for Huskies, Vizslas, Weimaraners, Mini Doodles, golden retrievers and Aussies! I truly enjoy playing and keeping dogs company, and feel guilty when any dogs are left to their own and ignored. I have 24hr 7 days a week attention to give, I work from home and am always able to use my dogs as an excuse to step away from the desk! On the second floor of an apt, so getting the dogs ready and taking out for a walk/just some fresh air is very easy! Usually take my dog out 4-5 times a day, and one of those is a long walk. I have a dog friendly apt, with a walking route and grass used daily! I am in the old port area, and love taking dogs around town for their walks! I make sure to incorporate grassy areas for their relief!
âMichaela and her partner are amazing!!! Their dog Gus is extremely friendly and adorable. My dog had the best time there and was taken care of like she was their own (both for doggy day care and weekend boarding). She took her to the dog park multiple times, many walks, always providing updates and sending pictures. Super friendly, responsive, and responsible. Couldnât recommend more.â

âLindsay was great! She gave us tips on where to find vegan food, where we could park our RV as we were going on a whale watching tour. She took Maddie for walks and sent us pictures. Maddie was very comfortable with Lindsay. Lindsay was always quick to answer when we had questions. We highly recommend her.â
âAlma was great with Reynard and sent photos and updates throughout the day. Reynard and Birdy got along well. Very happy that Alma was able to accommodate a last minute booking and we will certainly book her again!â

âEmily and Kieran took a very good care of our dog! They were very accomodating even on the last minute notice, and were very flexible on the timing, which we really appreciate :) They took Ohsam out for a walk several times, gave lots of loves and cuddles. I can see Ohsam had a great time with the family! Would recommend them during our next visit in Portland. Thank you!!â

About: I have cared for dogs since I was a teenager and have the biggest heart for them! I currently volunteer weekly at MSPCA-Angell and have experience with shy, energetic, and dogs that need a lot of attention. I will be your dog's new bestie! I'm currently working on my Pet HealthTech startup so my schedule is pretty flexible! I am usually working from home or at a local coffee shop. I let dogs run around and will always have them near me. I love giving them chews to distract them when I am in meetings and am very comfortable with them lying on me or next to me. It's my favorite!
âEmilia took great care of my dog Louie who is a bit nervous around new people. Communication was great and I could tell my little guy felt very comfortable with her. Would 10/10 recommend!â

About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.
About: I bring a high level of experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Iâm comfortable handling everything from structured walks and feeding schedules to medications and special care needs. My goal is always the same: dependable care, clear communication, and a happy, well-cared-for dog. Working from home allows me to offer flexible scheduling and near constant supervision, ensuring that your dog receives attentive, reliable care and plenty of interaction. I prioritize safety, consistency, and a calm environment in every aspect of care. I closely follow each dogâs routine, including feeding instructions, walk preferences, and any special needs. My home is clean, dog safe, and supervised throughout the day, and when caring for pets in a clientâs home, I respect their space and maintain the same level of attentiveness. I always use secure leashes, monitor interactions carefully, and communicate regularly with updates for peace of mind.
About: I'm dedicated to your dog's well-being and offer genuine love, playful engagement, and a safe home and environment to ensure a stress-free experience. I have been a dog owner my entire life and I know how to read the body language of dogs. I nurture trust so that your dog is as happy here as s/he is in your home. We have two rescue dogs here in the home, Phoebe and Canela. Phoebe has been with us since she was a tiny chiweenie puppy six years ago, and Canela is a two year old sweetheart that was starving/living on the streets in Oaxaca, Mexico. Little did I know when I fell in love with her that the only way to get her home was to have her driven here in February! I am a writer and have a small gardening & vintage business which allows me to be at home close to full-time. Because I have a fenced in yard, I leave the door to my back porch open and our dogs go in and out of the home as they wish. I am here to monitor them, of course! I have a big fenced yard and two dogs that love to play and go for walks on the Greenbelt which is across the street. When they are inside, they sleep like queens on the couch or bed. Their favorite activity when they are not playing is to stare out the front window from the bed and bark at all the dogs that dare walk by our home.
âAnnie was fantastic! Winnie is not the easiest of dogs and Annie was gentle and patient with her. She found ways around things that Winnie doesn't enjoy, like being picked up, which is necessary because she can't do stairs.â

âAbsolutely wonderful pet sitter. Marna was calm and patient with our little chihuahua, Miika. Miika was happy and relaxed when she was picked up. I highly recommend Marna and will definitely be using her services again.â

âSavannah was fantastic in taking in our pup for a last minute daycare stay. She was responsive, caring, flexible and so great with our girl Phoebe! Our pup is needy, anxious and a bit quirky but Savannah was great with her. Would absolutely use her again!â

About: I am new to Portland from Philadelphia. I do have a full-time job as a chaplain in the maritime industry but, I make my own schedule and have plenty of times to walk or take care of pups and or check in on cats. I live off of Forest Ave in the Oakdale section of Portland.. I presently cannot board in my apartment. I am new to Portland and looking forward to meeting some pups and kitties I do have a full-time job as a Chaplain here but have plenty of time to work around my schedule! I treat your pets and all of the dogs and cats I look after as if they are my own, as if I am in my own home even though I'm on their turf
âAlexandra was excellent! She made it very easy. My dogs took to her right away and they were happy, calm pups when I picked them up. would definitely recommend and use Alexandra again!â

âChristine is the best. She made it really easy for us to leave our 13 week old puppy with her for the day and feel totally confident that she was well taken care of. Thank you!â

âThis was my first time leaving our new adopted puppy with someone. Rachel made it completely stress free. She was so well cared for and exhausted by the end of the day. I especially loved the many updates and pictures. We will definitely use Rachel in the future!â

âRose made our Buddy feel right at home, he had a great time playing with his new friend while we were out on a whale watching cruise. We really appreciated the updates and photos while in her care. We would highly recommend her services!â

Michelle did a great job making sure my cavalier, Joy, was cared for and content. Joy spent her time having fun in the backyard, then coming in for a rest, then back out again, all in the company of Michelle's sweet dog. I have already signed up for Joy to return for another pet sit. There is nothing like knowing my fur baby is safe and having fun while I am away.

Emily and Kieran took a very good care of our dog! They were very accomodating even on the last minute notice, and were very flexible on the timing, which we really appreciate :) They took Ohsam out for a walk several times, gave lots of loves and cuddles. I can see Ohsam had a great time with the family! Would recommend them during our next visit in Portland. Thank you!!

Lindsay is wonderful! She picks up Garbanzo twice a week for daycare, and he adores her (and her dog, Gimli). He always comes home happy and tired, and itâs clear he has the best time at her place. Lindsay is incredibly reliable, communicative, and trustworthyâI never have to worry when Bonzoâs with her. He loves her so much that if he catches a whiff of Lindsay or her fiancĂŠ, Mark, near our apartment, he loses his mind trying to find them! Couldnât recommend her more highly.

Michaela was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures and messages the whole time. I could tell my pup was happy and comfortable with her. Michaela is reliable, kind, and clearly loves animalsâIâll definitely be trying to book with her again if we travel to Portland. Highly recommend!

Emilia was the BEST babysitter for us while we were visiting Portland. We had a party to go to where we couldnât bring our pup, and we almost had to say no to seeing our friends and family as a result. But, Emilia was available for us at the last minute, and we are so grateful. She sent us lots of pictures and updates throughout the day, and we knew Frankie was having an absolute blast with walks, treats, meals, and snuggles. Thank you so much Emilia for making this so easy and giving us peace of mind!

We had our dogs stay for two consecutive days, and everything went smoothly. There were no issues at all, and Ryan took good care of them. On the second morning, they were clearly excited to see him again, which tells me he really connected with them. Thank you for providing a safe and positive experience.

Hailey was incredible with our dog Scout! She worked so graciously with us last min to watch our dog for an entire day. She was professional, compassionate, and extremely considerate to our dogâs quirks. She made sure both our pup and I were comfortable with a new sitter and to say the least Scout adored her! She thoughtful throughout the day sending updates and checking in. We are beyond appreciative and are excited to return to Portland to have Scout stay with Hailey again! A million thank yous!

Gwen was exceptional. I appreciate her being so patient and caring with Quincy. This was the first time Quincy stayed at a sitter's home and the new experience caused her a bit of anxiety and confusion. I was also a little nervous. Gwen insisted I shouldn't worry and kept me apprised of how Quincy was doing throughout the evening. When I returned for Quincy she was out for a walk with Gwen and things had worked out fine. Thank you, Gwen!
