About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.
About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child up into adulthood, until I lost my dog 3 years ago. Although the grief has made it hard to get another pet yet, I look for ways to share this love with other pets I work fully remote and my job allows me a flexible schedule. About: We love taking care of dogs! We are the go-to pet sitters for our friends and family, and now that we are up in Portland, would love to be the go-to sitter for your pup! Kelly is not only incredibly nice but also clearly very in tune with dogs and their needs. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. About: While I am new to Rover, I have lots of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family. My whole life there’s been a rotation of dogs in my home (my parents never bothered getting a dog because we watched our friends’ so often) and in recent years I frequently do house visits to feed and entertain pets. I have had a cat before who I loved wholeheartedly and I would love to take care of yours. Please consider me as a candidate to help your family. Thank you! I have a flexible work schedule, so I can dog walk almost any time of day. However, I am not home all the time if your pet needs 24 hour care. For overnight jobs, happy to take your pet to my house or stay at yours. House is not puppy proof but I would be happy to set up an area for them. I have no pets at home.
