“Cali usually is uncomfortable with new people and I always dread leaving her, but whatever Kirsten is doing it works. Cali is actually excited to go to daycare and that is a load off of me! Thank you, Kirsten and Rover!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life -- both my own dogs and as the go-to sitter for friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. Across my extensive time caring for dogs, I have gained experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am particularly good with nervous or timid dogs, and I am very comfortable with dogs who have special medical needs. Last year I had to say goodbye to my own greatly beloved dog after two years of very intense cancer care. While I am not ready for a new dog of my own yet, I am eager to shower other people's dogs with affection and care. I have a very flexible schedule and am available for dog care most days. On days listed as available, I am able to spend almost all of the time at home with the dog(s). I do not currently have any other animals in the home, and your dog will receive my full attention! I have a wide variety of dog beds for them to try out and toys for them to play with.

Rosie spend Wednesdays with Arman and family for 15 weeks and became a more well-rounded confident dog after suffering abuse as a pup. We are so thankful to me you! ❤️ 🐕”

“Isaiah was great with our two dogs (husky and 1 year old akita/husky/german shepard mix.) We would definitely go back to him if we were going to be in San Diego again.”

“Camille was amazing with my mini dachshund puppy! She was super flexible with my long work hours and change of schedule. Sent pictures and updates throughout the day and an hour by hour note of everything they did at daycare that day 🥺 she spent so much time playing with him and taking him on walks even during her work day, I know he felt loved!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15. I walked and watched my neighbors, friends and family’s dogs when they went on vacation or during the day for potty breaks. I love dogs and have always had a dog of my own. I will treat your dog as if they were mine. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I walk my dog every 3 hours with a long walk in the morning and evening. I walk my dog very frequently, with a long walk in the morning and evening adding up to 5 miles a day. I can also take your dog to the dog park if you and your dog are comfortable with the dog park. I can crate and give medicine if necessary.

“Haley kept me updated the entire time! She sent so many pictures of Moose which I greatly appreciated. He seemed to have so much fun & was so tired and worn out when I picked him up. Thank you Haley & Alec!!!”

About: Howdy! I've been on rover for a few years now. I briefly stopped in 2023 and then in 2024 I moved down to SD. Now that my pooch and I are settled in we are ready to dog sit again! Throughout my time with Rover I developed a number of regular folks that trusted their dogs with me and my pooch. I have one dog, Butler. He's 8 and is a loving and patient dalmatian. And as you can see in the photos uploaded he definitely enjoys the dog company 🐾 See below for my work schedule :) I work in the office two days a week and work from home the other 3. On the work days in the office I am gone the whole time so I ask that your pooch is well acclimated to being able to be left alone for that extended period of time I live in an apartment right now that has plenty of parks around it so to make sure the dogs get exercise we can either go on long walks at least twice a day or go to the nearby parks

“Emmy responded very promptly. Very warm and welcoming for Zuko. Sent pictures of Zuko happy during her stay with Emmy. Would recommend and rehire her services next time I’m in San Diego! Thank you Emmy.”

“I wholeheartedly recommend Veronica to care for your pets. I have known her for 8 years, and during that time, I have witnessed her love for animals, strong sense of responsibility, and natural ability to connect with many different pets. Beyond being great with animals, Veronica is also punctual, trustworthy, and respectful of other people’s property—traits that are especially important in a role that often involves entering clients’ homes or handling keys. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog with the same care and attention they would their own, please contact Veronica.”

San Diego dog parents share their Rover experiences
Andrew and Kris were so amazing! They were in constant communication and were very flexible with our availability. We used them three days in a row during our San Diego vacation. We will definitely be recommending them to our of our friends traveling with pups!

Della was great with our dogs (husky and 1 year old akita/husky/german shepard mix.) Our dog Philip is usually nervous with new people but Della made him feel really comfortable and he was super playful with her. Della sent pictures of the dogs and took them on a nice walk.

Mariah was a great dog sitter for our Cavalier named Maisie! She made sure to walk our pup around the neighborhood and spent some good play time at the near by dog park and took the cutest photos! She was quick to respond to my messages and made me feel safe about leaving my dog in her care for the evening. Thanks again!

Audrey was an outstanding pet sitter for our dog. Our dog is typically shy and takes time to warm up to people, but Audrey built rapport with our dog immediately and made her feel loved and safe. We are absolutely grateful for finding her to take care of our dog! Audrey has such calm and caring energy that made all the difference with our dog! I know that our dog will miss seeing Audrey! I will definitely book with her the next time we are in need of care! Thank you so much Audrey!

I can’t say enough good things about Mo and Eugene! They took such amazing care of my two Frenchies, Manny and Jimmy. Not only were they incredibly kind and attentive, but they went above and beyond to make sure my boys were comfortable and happy. They took them on walks and even brought a wagon with their water in case they got too warm or tired to walk back. A sweet and smart touch, especially for flat-faced pups like mine. I felt comfortable knowing Manny and Jimmy were in such caring hands. Highly recommend Mo and Eugene to anyone looking for loving, reliable sitters!
