“This was the best experience by far! They not only watched our pup, giving us peace of mind while we went out, but they also worked with him. We had the meet-up and they have such patience and understanding and it also shows in their dog Enzo. We also got several updates and pictures. it's hard leaving a pet, especially one that needs a little extra care and we felt completely at ease. We will definitely come back and recommend them everytime!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats around the neighborhood for years. When our neighbors go on trips, they leave their pets in my care. In the past, I've gone to the beach, taken long walks, and helped with basic training. I am excited to meet all my new furry friends :) I am free any time, any day! 😁 I are happy to take care of your pet at any time. Your pet will be the center of my attention. I live in a fenced yard with plenty of space for your furry friends to run around. My home is quiet, and there's always someone around to be with your pet. I live in a safe, secure home, with lots of inside space to chill out.
“Bailey had a great time at Doggie Day Care last week. He played well with Jennifer's dog Harper and was treated to several walks a day, which he loves! We are booking again next week! Thank you Jennifer for the great care you provided for Bailey!”

“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better place to leave my dogs for the day. Neither of them had been to “daycare” before and it made all the difference to have such a well maintained, open space to explore and relax in. They were immediately excited to explore and didn’t even notice that I left. Dawn is so clearly calm and competent, I didn’t worry at all while I was gone. One of my dogs wanted to be in the house and spent a lot of time sleeping on her bed, and Dawn was kind enough to let her hang out there. The best sign they were happy and comfortable: one dog has separation anxiety, and when I came to pick them up, she was excited to greet me, but then immediately turned around and went back into the yard, explored more, then asked to be let into the house. I don’t live in the area but will definitely book again if I’m back.”

“Berenice was fantastic. Everytime we picked Obi up he was happy, clean and wagging his tail. She kept us up to date and did many fun things to keep Obi active. Definitely will use her again if we come to visit in the future.”

About: Hello ! I have had dogs my whole life, small, medium and large dogs of all different kinds of breeds. The different dogs in my photos are dogs I’ve walked, boarded and pet sat for. I have boarded many different dogs before but I'm really eager to board for other families and their dogs on Rover. I worked at a veterinary clinic in San Diego so I have some knowledge on dogs, medical conditions (allergies, behaviors, etc.) and how to treat them. I'm a very easy going person and dogs are definitely a passion of mine. I will honor every request or concern for any type of service. Your dog and I will enjoy all the time spent if it's in your home or mine or simply on a walk. Whatever service you need I'm here for you and your dog ! Thank you so much ! :) I work from home full time so I’m able to have flexibility with my pet scheduling. Being home full time helps me be with your pet at every moment and monitor them with care. I have a fenced yard and one senior dog. He is very tiny and doesn’t give much attention to other animals (pretends they’re not there lol) he also has no teeth :)

About: Hey! My name is Chris… also known as Cherry’s Dad. I am very enthusiastic about people’s pets, have had dogs my entire life and will continue to be a dog person forever and ever. Fun fact: my mom owns a dog grooming shop in LA! I’ve worked a lot in the shop and have handled literally hundreds of pet dogs. After 15 years in corporate, I’m now a Business owner with flexibility in my schedule. I walk my own pet 3 times a day, and frequently take breaks to complete my put duties! At home, I pay attention to the dogs signals and adjust accordingly - are they happy? Nervous? Thirsty? Whining? I speak pretty good dog by listening. During walks, I never allow strangers, especially children, to approach someone’s dog I am in control of who isn’t mine.

About: I have extensive, hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, ranging from household pets to farm and ranch animals. I grew up on a 7-acre property where I was constantly surrounded by animals, which gave me a strong foundation in animal care, behavior, and responsibility. I also spent time as a competitive horseback rider, which provided additional experience working closely with horses and other large animals. Alongside farm experience, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds, as well as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small animals. I currently have two large senior dogs—a Boxer and a Shepherd/Husky mix—who I’ve raised since they were puppies, giving me experience with everything from early training to senior care. I’m familiar with the unique care needs of smaller animals as well. I also have a two-year-old daughter who is very gentle and animal-loving, and she enjoys being around and helping with daily pet care and walks when appropriate. Because she will often be with me, I kindly ask that you let me know if your pets are comfortable around children so I can ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone involved. My goal is always to provide safe, loving, and reliable care so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away, knowing your pets are treated like family. My schedule is flexible since I am a stay-at-home mom caring for my two-year-old daughter. This allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day, with availability for morning, afternoon, and some evening visits depending on your pet’s needs. Because I am home most of the time, I am able to adjust my routine to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, check-ins, and any special care instructions your pet may have. I prioritize reliability and communication, so you’ll always know when I’m arriving and how your pet is doing. While I do have my daughter with me, I am intentional about only accepting bookings where I can ensure a safe, calm, and positive experience for both your pet and your home. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, trust, and creating a calm, comfortable environment. I make sure each pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box care, and any special instructions. I take time to understand each animal’s personality and needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. In client homes, I treat the space with the same respect I would my own—keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. I am reliable, communicative, and always mindful of both the pet’s comfort and the owner’s peace of mind. In my own home, pets are cared for in a structured, calm environment alongside my two senior dogs. I maintain a clean and organized space where animals can feel safe and relaxed. My goal is to build trust with both pets and their owners by providing consistent, attentive, and compassionate care every time.
“1st time on Rover. Great experience all around. Kaitlin & Verle were quick to respond, super accomodating, and took great care of Oreo. Well done & will book again.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the way I treat every pet like family while tailoring care to their unique needs. I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies who need consistent training and gentle guidance, as well as senior pets who may require extra patience, medication reminders, and comfort. I focus on creating a safe, calm environment where pets feel loved and secure, even when their owners are away. Whether it’s reinforcing good habits, providing lots of play and exercise, or offering slow walks and cuddles for older pets, I adapt to what each furry friend needs. My goal is to make sure they’re not only cared for, but genuinely happy. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am home full-time with no other job commitments. This allows me to give pets my full attention throughout the day In my home, pets enjoy a clean, bug-free space with a fenced backyard for safe play and exercise. I provide fresh water, regular breaks, and lots of attention.
“Demetria was great! Was available on a short notice. She sent pictures and updates which I really appreciated. Thank you Demetria will definitely book again. 😊”

About: I am a dog-lover with my whole life of experience in caring for dogs! I have had them in all shapes and sizes - my first two dogs being big German Shepherds to my last dog which was a little Maltipoo, and a few in between. I have potty trained quite a few dogs in my life, as well as helped them through their senior years. Most important of all, I will love your pets like they're my own children! I'm currently working part time from home so I have plenty of availability to take your pup outside for potty breaks or walks and give them attention throughout the day. I have a safe, fenced yard with plenty of room for sniffing and sunshine. I also have senior dog care items like a step to get on the couch. I have a long gate that can be made into a pen, and a cage for a small dog, if requested. Pets are family here - I have always allowed my own pets on the couch or bed and will do the same for yours unless you prefer otherwise.

Cannot say enough good things about Adrian and my pup's day over there! So very kind and friendly (as were their dogs!!), which put this first-time client instantly at ease when leaving my baby. In the evening I got back a thoroughly happy, worn-out boy, who fell asleep 10 minutes into the drive home, with a completely contented look on his face. If I were local I'd come back many times over. I would recommend Adrian to anyone who needs a petsitter!

Cristina was amazing!! She was very kind, welcoming and detailed in caring for our three girls and making sure they were comfortable and safe in her home/property. She provided updates throughout the stay and made us feel peace of mind they were in good care. Will definitely use Cristina again for future daycare needs.

We have boarded our Snoopy with Emily before and this time it was for a daycare. Emily kept us up to date with Snoopys day. She's very easy to work with and is very flexible with dropoff and pickup time, which we greatly appreciate. We can enjoy our time knowing Snoopy is in good hands.

Kyra was absolutely amazing while watching my dog for a full week. From start to finish, her communication was top-tier—she kept me consistently updated and always made me feel at ease while I was away. She sent frequent pictures and detailed updates, which really reassured me that my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. We joked and laughed at Banroll goofiness which made my experience with her even better. You can tell Kyra genuinely cares about the animals she watches. My dog looked relaxed, comfortable, and clearly enjoyed being with her. It’s not easy trusting someone with your pet for that long, but Kyra made the entire experience stress-free. I would 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, attentive, and caring. She truly goes above and beyond!

They were immediately excited to explore and didn’t even notice that I left. Dawn is so clearly calm and competent, I didn’t worry at all while I was gone. Cerita is an AMAZING human! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience for my pup. This beautiful, loving family took such incredible care of him over the weekend and treated him like one of their own. It was clear how much time, attention, and genuine affection they gave him — from playtime to cuddles and everything in between. I felt completely at ease knowing he was not just being watched, but truly loved. I’m so grateful for the care they provided and would trust them again without hesitation. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾💛

Davian was so amazing! Our Rocky was in such great hands. She made sure to always keep us updated and sent us some great pictures of him. If you’re in the area, please reach out to her for pet services. Thank you again Davian for taking care of our sweet Rocky!

Corie took out reservation as a last minute request. I love that the dogs were allowed on furniture, inside, outside - the same freedoms they have at home. Communication as great from start to finish, including the three sets of photos that showed the girls were engaged and having fun. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend Corie for doggie daycare. Thanks Corie!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Spring Valley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,244 sitters in Spring Valley, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
