About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats around the neighborhood for years. When our neighbors go on trips, they leave their pets in my care. In the past, I've gone to the beach, taken long walks, and helped with basic training. I am excited to meet all my new furry friends :) I am free any time, any day! 😁 I are happy to take care of your pet at any time. Your pet will be the center of my attention. I live in a fenced yard with plenty of space for your furry friends to run around. My home is quiet, and there's always someone around to be with your pet. I live in a safe, secure home, with lots of inside space to chill out.
“This was the best experience by far! They not only watched our pup, giving us peace of mind while we went out, but they also worked with him. We had the meet-up and they have such patience and understanding and it also shows in their dog Enzo. We also got several updates and pictures. it's hard leaving a pet, especially one that needs a little extra care and we felt completely at ease. We will definitely come back and recommend them everytime!”

“My puppy had another great day here! He was very excited to arrive to their house, and he came home very tired and slept a ton so I know he played hard.”

About: I have had a pet my whole life and even volunteered at the animal shelter having a strong passion for animal care. While volunteering I learned how to train pets, be a responsible, and responsive animal care taker. I have two dogs Toxi and Epsy, they are currently keeping my parents company as i recently moved out of my family home. I miss them dearly and love having pets in my home. I will give any animal the love and care as they are family. In my past I have cared for elderly, post surgery, and disabled dogs. I am very caring and would make any animal as comfortable as possible in any situation. I am studying for engineering certifications and have free time all week all day making me very available and willing to go on multiple walks throughout the day. My home has a gated area and pet welcome home with food and water bowls along with other dog essentials in my home like toys and treats. I have a gated front and back yard which are open for any furry friends coming into my home. I live in a very walkable neighborhood that can accommodate long walks.
“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

“Cristal was super sweet and accommodating. She was waiting outside for us. She stayed and chatted with us since we were leaving him with someone new. We had a regular daycare who, decided she didn't wanna watch dogs any longer.”

About: Hi, I’m Emily - a life long dog lover who's had pups most of my life, including my sweet Pomeranian who lived to 19 years old. I work from home, so your dog will have constant companionship, lots of love, and plenty of attention throughout the day. We have a fenced yard for safe play and zoomies, and I truly treat every pup like part of the family. From walks to snuggles, I’m here to make your dog’s stay pawsitively great 🐾 I currently work from home so I'm available 24/7 to take care of your sweet pup. Because of my flexible schedule, I can easily adjust to your fur baby's unique needs. I am available Monday - Sundays for boarding at my home in La Mesa, CA. I have a fenced yard and a sweet Pomeranian to keep your dog(s) company. I can adjust to your furry friend's eating, walking and sleeping schedule. I'm here to ensure your dog is as happy as possible while you're away.
“Demetria was great! Was available on a short notice. She sent pictures and updates which I really appreciated. Thank you Demetria will definitely book again. 😊”

“Our dog Kobe loved his stay with Stormy, he had a blast playing with her pups and he was so happy and tired when we picked him up. I’d definitely take Kobe back here again :)”

About: Hi, I'm Luke! I live with my partner Elaheh, and we love dogs. Our beloved dog Lily recently crossed over the rainbow bridge, and we wanted to do Rover to share our love with other fur babies. I work from home full-time, which means your dog won't spend the day alone waiting for attention. They get real company, regular potty breaks, and plenty of snuggles throughout the day. They can be inside or outside as much as they (and you) would like, as well as go on walks or play catch. When Elaheh gets home from work, she loves to join us on an evening walk and snuggle up with your dog on our couch. We live in a quiet neighborhood in La Mesa with a fenced yard, so there's space to run, fetch, or just soak up the sun. We are comfortable with dogs that need extra exercise, medication, or just a calm, low-key day on the couch. Your dog is the priority here, and we will treat them like they are. Highlights: • Large, fenced in yard • Human companions in the home nearly all day • Dedicated couch space under the window that looks out on our street for people watching • "Glacier Springs" purified drinking water, free upon request I have a flexible WFH job so I'll have plenty of time for potty breaks, walks, and couch hangs. I am available for boarding/dog sitting beyond just weekends. Since I am home most of the time, your dog can enjoy our back yard all day. I have a fenced-in yard for safe play time and live in a quiet neighborhood for longer walks. I provide photos and updates throughout the day (half my camera roll are puppy pics, lets be honest) and am quick to respond to messages.

“Piper loved playing with all the dogs there! Their pups are friendly and awesome role models for my little puppy. They were very flexible with drop off and pick up times. They care about the dogs they watch, your pet will be well taken care of with Todd and Bill.”

About: I have owned dogs for a combined time of over 10 years. I enjoy walking them, playing with them, and cuddling with them. Over the summer I have a very flexible schedule as I am a teacher on summer break looking to make some extra cash. I am currently available most weekdays but not weekends. I am an early riser and love to go on walks. I’m looking forward to meeting your pup and spending time with them. I have a fenced back yard and one calm Great Dane/ Lab mix we adopted over a year ago named Danner. We do not have children or any other pets. I would treat your dog as I do my own, with love, care and compassion.
“Taylor was so great!! I scheduled a meet and greet for her and our dog Indie and she was happy to meet and very kind. I haven't met her personally because I was already out of town but we texted and she gave me great peace of mind the whole time and sending lots of pictures. Indie seemed to have had the best day and did not seem to miss us at all - we're just tiny bit hurt by this lol. I would book her again anytime!!”

About: I am a dog-lover with my whole life of experience in caring for dogs! I have had them in all shapes and sizes - my first two dogs being big German Shepherds to my last dog which was a little Maltipoo, and a few in between. I have potty trained quite a few dogs in my life, as well as helped them through their senior years. Most important of all, I will love your pets like they're my own children! I only accept one doggie family at a time, so your dog(s) will be the only ones here for boarding and doggie day care. I'm currently working part time from home so I have plenty of availability to take your pup outside for potty breaks or walks and give them attention throughout the day. I have a safe, fenced yard with plenty of room for sniffing and sunshine. I also have senior dog care items like a step to get on the couch. I have a long gate that can be made into a pen, and a cage for a small dog, if requested. Pets are family here - I have always allowed my own pets on the couch or bed and will do the same for yours unless you prefer otherwise.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 6, I’ve taken care of them since I was 10, they’re really part of the family and I know the care and love they deserve, I’d be honored to be there for your fur babies when you need them taken care of by someone you can trust. I’m especially experienced with large dogs, I grew up with a Great Dane. I’m off for the summer so I have a generally open schedule until mid August, just let me know when you need me and we can make it work. I make it a point to leave any home I stay at to dog sit nicer than it was when I arrived, so you can be rest assured that your home will be taken care of just as well as your furry family.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the way I treat every pet like family while tailoring care to their unique needs. I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies who need consistent training and gentle guidance, as well as senior pets who may require extra patience, medication reminders, and comfort. I focus on creating a safe, calm environment where pets feel loved and secure, even when their owners are away. Whether it’s reinforcing good habits, providing lots of play and exercise, or offering slow walks and cuddles for older pets, I adapt to what each furry friend needs. My goal is to make sure they’re not only cared for, but genuinely happy. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am home full-time with no other job commitments. This allows me to give pets my full attention throughout the day In my home, pets enjoy a clean, bug-free space with a fenced backyard for safe play and exercise. I provide fresh water, regular breaks, and lots of attention.
“Letitia was great to work with! She has a nice setup for watching pets both durning rain and without rain. One of the reasons we chose to have Letitia watch the dogs was because she was the only one that suggested a meet and greet before committing to watch our dogs. Very professional and nice arrangement for the dogs!”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Lemon Grove is $44

Cannot say enough good things about Adrian and my pup's day over there! So very kind and friendly (as were their dogs!!), which put this first-time client instantly at ease when leaving my baby. In the evening I got back a thoroughly happy, worn-out boy, who fell asleep 10 minutes into the drive home, with a completely contented look on his face. If I were local I'd come back many times over. I would recommend Adrian to anyone who needs a petsitter!

Cristina was amazing!! She was very kind, welcoming and detailed in caring for our three girls and making sure they were comfortable and safe in her home/property. She provided updates throughout the stay and made us feel peace of mind they were in good care. Will definitely use Cristina again for future daycare needs.

We have boarded our Snoopy with Emily before and this time it was for a daycare. Emily kept us up to date with Snoopys day. She's very easy to work with and is very flexible with dropoff and pickup time, which we greatly appreciate. We can enjoy our time knowing Snoopy is in good hands.

Sandee is such a kind, gentle woman. She immediately got down and greeted my pup. She sent me pictures throughout the day & even filled me in on her concerns of my dog, not eating. (Which is totally normal, when she’s a lil nervous). Sandee’s house & backyard is a zen zone . So tranquil & peaceful. Love love ❤️ 100 recommend :)!! Thank you Sandee!!

Kyra was absolutely amazing while watching my dog for a full week. From start to finish, her communication was top-tier—she kept me consistently updated and always made me feel at ease while I was away. She sent frequent pictures and detailed updates, which really reassured me that my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. We joked and laughed at Banroll goofiness which made my experience with her even better. You can tell Kyra genuinely cares about the animals she watches. My dog looked relaxed, comfortable, and clearly enjoyed being with her. It’s not easy trusting someone with your pet for that long, but Kyra made the entire experience stress-free. I would 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, attentive, and caring. She truly goes above and beyond!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to leave my dogs for the day. Neither of them had been to “daycare” before and it made all the difference to have such a well maintained, open space to explore and relax in. They were immediately excited to explore and didn’t even notice that I left. Dawn is so clearly calm and competent, I didn’t worry at all while I was gone. One of my dogs wanted to be in the house and spent a lot of time sleeping on her bed, and Dawn was kind enough to let her hang out there. The best sign they were happy and comfortable: one dog has separation anxiety, and when I came to pick them up, she was excited to greet me, but then immediately turned around and went back into the yard, explored more, then asked to be let into the house. I don’t live in the area but will definitely book again if I’m back.

Thea was super friendly and very welcoming to us but with Kyro and that made me extremely happy and i felt more at ease. We just recently moved to SD and using Rover as well. She made the experience wonderful. Kyro had a blast with the other dogs and i’m pretty sure he was super satisfied as well ☺️

Letitia was great to work with! She has a nice setup for watching pets both durning rain and without rain. One of the reasons we chose to have Letitia watch the dogs was because she was the only one that suggested a meet and greet before committing to watch our dogs. Very professional and nice arrangement for the dogs!

Cerita is an AMAZING human! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience for my pup. This beautiful, loving family took such incredible care of him over the weekend and treated him like one of their own. It was clear how much time, attention, and genuine affection they gave him — from playtime to cuddles and everything in between. I felt completely at ease knowing he was not just being watched, but truly loved. I’m so grateful for the care they provided and would trust them again without hesitation. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾💛

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lemon Grove commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
