About: Hi! My name is Diana. I am a caring and responsible pet lover living in San Diego. I have experience caring for my own dog and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable. Your pet will receive lots of attention, love, and care in a calm home environment. I welcome small and friendly dogs and will treat them like family. I am home most of the time, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I can provide regular potty breaks, feeding, playtime, walks, and lots of attention throughout the day. I am available on both weekdays and weekends. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment for pets. I have a fenced yard and always supervise pets carefully. I follow each owner’s feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions. If pets need to be separated for safety or comfort, I have enough space to keep them in separate rooms.

Melinda and her husband are wonderful! Our pup Patrick had so much fun! They went on a field trip to balboa park one day, and a long fun walk the next day. Patrick usually tries to leave with us, but both days we dropped him off we ran straight inside to say hi to the other dogs. Melinda sent pics both days and it was such a relief to see how happy Patrick was!

Stacy saved my trip! I came to San Diego to bring my nephew to Legoland, and at the last minute my dog sitter had to cancel. My dog is not especially difficult to care for, per se, but he is old and has a lot of needs or else he gets anxious. Stacy not only stepped in to help on very short notice, but was incredibly kind and gracious about it. She treated my baby like he was her own. I feel very grateful and lucky to have found her and will definitely reach out if I need dog sitting in San Diego again. Thank you Stacy (and Ronnie)! My nephew and I are both very grateful that we got to go enjoy our day without having to worry.

About: I take dogs to the park twice a day so they can get exercise, have fun outside, and socialize with other pups. I specialize in small to medium-sized dogs. I’ll send you regular photo updates so you can see how your pet’s doing. I’m home most of the time, so your dog will have lots of company and won’t be left alone. Pet care is a natural part of my day—I plan my schedule around their needs, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and love throughout the day. No matter where I’m caring for your pet—my home or yours—I make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I keep things clean, stick to their routine, and give them plenty of love and attention. You’ll also get updates and cute photos so you know they’re doing great!

About: My dog is a husky/malamute mix who is the most docile canine I’ve ever known. He can be energetic and playful with dogs of literally all sizes and personalities. I’m a real estate agent and work from home, but wake up very early! We cannot do pickups after 7p so anything late needs to be scheduled next day unless confirmed prior to booking. I don’t leave my own dog home for more than 4 hours on a work day by himself but also have a doggie door (when I’m home only), and a large home with hard floors for the pups to roam. I have a fenced yard but keep my dog inside when I’m not at home. I’ve got a doggie cam and check in (and talk) to my dog frequently if I have to be gone!

About: I have 3 years of experience caring for dogs with different personalities, sizes, and needs. I’m available for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop-ins, including weekends and some last-minute bookings. Hi, I'm Osiris! I'm a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Eastlake/Chula Vista. About: Pets have always been a big part of my life, and I truly believe pets are family. I’ve spent years caring for the dogs of family, friends, and neighbors. I’ve looked after dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and I always take the time to understand each pet’s unique routine and needs. Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with Dalmatians and have spent the past eight years raising two friendly, goofy, and well-socialized rescue beagles with my wife. Together we have also fostered rescue dogs for weeks at a time until they found their forever home. As your sitter, I will be your dog’s primary caregiver. I’ll personally handle walks, feeding, fresh water, medication if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has their own routine, energy level, and personality, and I’ll make every effort to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. My wife is also a tremendous animal lover who enjoys spending time with every pet she meets, so your dog will benefit from being in a home with two people who genuinely love animals. While I’ll be responsible for all of your pet’s care, they’ll also receive extra affection and companionship throughout their stay. Our home includes a fully fenced backyard patio, and we live in a safe neighborhood with plenty of green space. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: to treat your pet with the same love, patience, and respect that we’d want for our own. I primarily work from home with a flexible schedule, typically on East Coast business hours. Most weekdays, I’m available beginning around 2:00 PM for dog walks, drop-in visits, playtime, potty breaks, and other pet care needs. On days with a lighter meeting schedule, I’m often able to stop by earlier in the day for a walk or visit before returning to work. I occasionally work onsite once a week, but I typically leave the office between 2:00 and 2:30 PM, allowing me to be available for afternoon and evening care. For boarding and in-home pet sitting, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. I will be your pet’s primary caregiver, and because my wife works full-time from home, there is almost always someone at our home to provide companionship, supervision, and peace of mind. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. Before every booking, I’ll take the time to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, dietary needs, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions so I can provide care that’s as consistent as possible with what they’re used to at home. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or ours, I’ll be your pet’s primary caregiver. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of exercise, playtime, fresh water, meals on schedule, potty breaks, and lots of affection and attention. I’ll also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Our home is clean, safe, and pet-friendly. We have a securely fenced backyard patio and two friendly, well-socialized beagles who enjoy the company of other dogs. For cats or pets that prefer a quieter environment, we also have a secure private room where they can relax in their own space away from our dogs if needed. I understand that every pet is unique. Some love adventure and play, while others simply want a calm environment and a predictable routine. I’ll always respect your pet’s individual personality and comfort level and care for them with the same patience, compassion, and attention that I give my own animals. For the health and safety of all pets in our home, I ask that visiting dogs and cats be up to date on their vaccinations and flea/tick prevention.

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was young. Ever since I was a teenager I enjoyed walking my family, friends, and neighbors’ dogs. I have experience with dogs of all ages and many different breeds I am available to walk, board, or visit your dog all days of the week. I prefer to be notified at least a day in advance so I can properly schedule and prepare to care for your dog. I have a large backyard with clear space for the dogs to around and play. There is open space in the living room for dogs to relax, with room for dog beds or anything else they arrive with. This space is gated off from the rest of the house for safety. There’s enough room to separate the dogs from one another if they need space.

About: I've always had a dog in the house since I was born, but I also have vast experience taking care of the pets of immediate family, as well as a lot of my extended family. I've taken care of dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, and fish for as long as I can remember. Currently, I'm studying wildlife and animal care at school and have experience with internships where I handle animals. I'm currently working part time, but only around 4-8 hours a week, so I have lots of time to take care of pets. I'm at home for the majority of the day, and I often take long walks during the day that I would love to bring dogs on. I also have a car and everything in my life is in close proximity to my house, so if I'm ever not at home I can come right back very soon. I have a fenced yard and several parks nearby my house that I can take dogs to. I have no dogs in the house but I'm happy to board many if necessary. I can crate dogs if necessary but I don't have to, they're allowed to have free reign of the house if the owner is okay with it. Dogs are allowed on the furniture but again if an owner requests they not do that then that's great too!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a little girl. I have always had dogs around me. When I was a teen, I started dog sitting and dog walking in my neighborhood. This is something my dad and I would do together. As an adult, I am my friends’ and family’s go to person when it comes to help them with their pets. They will always call me when they go on vacations and need help. I am looking forward to expand my network of people I can help 🙂. Bonus is my own sweet little lady, Olive, who loves all dogs! She would be so happy to have new friends! I work from home part time. I am always home, and only go in and out to get my son from school. I walk my dog four times per day. Two of these four times per day are longer walks in the neighborhood or to the park. I keep dogs on the leash at all time when we are outside. I have a fenced backyard where they can be outside and lay in the sun, and can’t escape. They also have access to water and food as required by the owner. My dog Olive is super friendly, and loves being around other dogs. She is around 15 lbs. I have a cat who is friendly but does not want to do much with other dogs. He mostly stays away.

About: As a full-time retired “dog grandpa,” I’ve spent over 50 years caring for dogs of every shape, size, and personality. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me for decades to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pups just like my own. I currently share my home with a friendly spaniel mix who loves making new friends and helps create a warm, social atmosphere for visiting dogs. I’m patient, attentive, and happiest when I’m surrounded by wagging tails. From energetic youngsters to sweet seniors, I know how to keep each dog comfortable, confident, and cared for. Now that I’m fully retired, caring for pets has become one of the most enjoyable parts of my day. I’m home most of the time, which means your pet gets plenty of attention, frequent potty breaks, and peaceful company throughout the day. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays, and my open schedule allows me to keep your pet’s routine steady morning strolls, afternoon cuddles, or extra playtime, whatever they need. My home is set up with pets in mind. I have a secure fenced backyard with a large pet door so dogs can safely go in and out for fresh air and play. My spaniel mix is friendly and loves having canine company. We take daily walks to nearby parks, perfect for sniffing, exploring, and stretching those legs. Inside the house, pets are welcome to relax wherever they feel comfortable and yes, that includes the furniture. I provide a calm, supervised, and cozy environment, and I’m experienced with crates, medications, special diets, and supporting dogs with different energy levels or routines. Your dog will be treated like a cherished family member with all the gentle attention, structure, and warmth you’d expect from a loving retired grandpa.

As of August 2026, there are 3,096 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Bonita. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bonita commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,096 sitters in Bonita, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
