I work from home, so your dog will have constant companionship, lots of love, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I have had them in all shapes and sizes - my first two dogs being big German Shepherds to my last dog which was a little Maltipoo, and a few in between. I have potty trained quite a few dogs in my life, as well as helped them through their senior years. I allow dogs to be free in the house, they are never crated unless the owner specifically requests it as part of their nightly routine. In that case - I have a long gate that can be made into a pen, and a cage for a small dog, if requested. About: I’m passionate about making sure every dog and cat gets the care they need. I’ve cared for my own pets for 14 years, including my senior dog through his cancer diagnosis. I’ve worked with professional trainers to learn how to handle my dogs, and I enjoy basic training and manners at home. On walks, I adjust to each dog: loose leash walking, extra distance and treats for reactive dogs, and plenty of sniff breaks and enrichment for high-energy dogs. I have always loved caring for all varieties of pups. :) On some weekends I help foster puppies from local shelters, and when not in school I help foster senior dogs as well! I recently graduated from SDSU, so now I am working Monday-Thursday! Unless it fits around my work schedule, I am typically mostly available just Fridays- Sundays. From start to finish, her communication was top-tier—she kept me consistently updated and always made me feel at ease while I was away. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to leave my dogs for the day. Neither of them had been to “daycare” before and it made all the difference to have such a well maintained, open space to explore and relax in. They were immediately excited to explore and didn’t even notice that I left. Dawn is so clearly calm and competent, I didn’t worry at all while I was gone. One of my dogs wanted to be in the house and spent a lot of time sleeping on her bed, and Dawn was kind enough to let her hang out there. The best sign they were happy and comfortable: one dog has separation anxiety, and when I came to pick them up, she was excited to greet me, but then immediately turned around and went back into the yard, explored more, then asked to be let into the house. I don’t live in the area but will definitely book again if I’m back.
Thea was super friendly and very welcoming to us but with Kyro and that made me extremely happy and i felt more at ease. We just recently moved to SD and using Rover as well.
