I work full time but primarily from home, only going into the office about once a month. This flexible schedule allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day, making pet care a natural and consistent part of my daily routine. Since I’m not overly busy during work hours, I have plenty of time to provide companionship, playtime, regular walks, and enrichment activities. I enjoy breaking up my day with pet care, whether that means taking dogs out for potty breaks, going for walks around the neighborhood, or visiting nearby parks for extra exercise and stimulation. Because I’m home most of the time, pets are rarely left alone and receive frequent attention, supervision, and affection. Pet care fits seamlessly into my weekly routine, and I love having animals around to keep me company while ensuring they feel happy, active, and well cared for.

Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize safety, trust, and clear communication in every aspect of pet care. Before caring for a pet, I rely on the owner to share detailed information about their pet’s needs, preferences, routines, and any likes or dislikes so I can provide consistent, personalized care. I follow these instructions closely and maintain regular communication with pet owners by sending updates, photos, and messages, as well as reaching out immediately if I have any questions or concerns. In my home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment. I have no pets of my own and only live with 2 other adults, no kids. I live in a gated apartment complex, which adds an extra layer of security. For this reason, I am best suited to care for potty-trained pets. The complex has multiple designated grassy areas specifically for pets, allowing for frequent potty breaks and regular walks throughout the day. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I respect their routines and ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I am attentive to cleanliness, leash safety, and supervision at all times, and I make it a priority to create a stress-free environment where pets can feel at ease while their owners are away.

Information Madison W. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, potty habits, and any specific likes or dislikes. I also appreciate information about their temperament, energy level, and how they typically interact with new people or environments. Additionally, I like to be aware of any medical needs, allergies, medications, behavioral quirks, or triggers, as well as emergency vet information. Understanding house rules, leash preferences, and comfort items (such as favorite toys or sleeping spots) helps me provide consistent, safe, and personalized care while ensuring your pet feels as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
A typical day with pets in my care is a great balance of activity, enrichment, and relaxation. I love taking dogs on walks around the neighborhood, usually before or after meals to help maintain a healthy routine. Depending on the pet’s energy level and the owner’s preferences, I also enjoy visiting dog parks or Kate Sessions for socialization and playtime or having fun play sessions at home with toys and games. During my workday, pets are welcome to hang out with me while I work, whether that means playing intermittently, relaxing nearby, or enjoying some quiet companionship. I make sure they get plenty of attention, potty breaks, and mental stimulation throughout the day. I’m also happy to include special treats or outings, like a pup cup, if approved by the owner. Overall, my goal is to make each day enjoyable and comforting, ensuring pets feel happy, engaged, and well cared for while maintaining their usual routines.

Pet care experience
I have been caring for dogs for most of my life, starting with my childhood dog, Rocky, a King Charles Spaniel, whom I helped raise and take full responsibility for until I left for college. This included daily feeding, walking, grooming, playtime, and attending to his overall well-being. In college, I lived with a toy poodle named Milo for a year and played a major role in his care and upbringing. Since my roommate had never owned a dog before, I helped guide her through basic dog care, routines, and behavior. I regularly dog-sat Milo whenever she traveled and continued caring for him even after we all moved out, ensuring consistency and comfort for him. What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on, long-term experience with small breeds and my ability to step in confidently and responsibly when pet parents are away. I’m attentive to individual personalities, patient with dogs who need structure or reassurance, and committed to maintaining routines so pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their owner’s absence. I am very active with communication and will not hesitate to ask any questions or send as many or as little updates needed.

Reviews

Madison was amazing. She responded super short notice and came and picked our dog up at our location. We received frequent updates and photos. Our dog was super happy and we are so grateful for Madison!

My dog immediately felt comfortable with Madison, it usually takes a bit for her to warm up to new people.

Madison did a great job with my little Charlie. My pup had a great time staying with her and going to fun places too. I will definitely go back again and highly recommend her to any other pet owners who are looking for a dog sitter. Thanks Maddison. 😊
