About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 8 years and a cat owner for about 4 years, so caring for pets is a natural part of my daily life. I understand the importance of regular walks, feeding routines, playtime, attention, and keeping pets comfortable and safe. While I don’t offer specialized training or medical care, I’m patient, responsible, observant, and will treat your pet with the same care I give my own. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day and can give your pup plenty of attention, companionship, and regular walks to our local park. My home has a fenced balcony for an additional breather. My pup and kitty will be a great company for your fur baby. I can also crate your pup if needed.

About: I have always grown up with dogs and have never been in the house without them. I have had my own dog for the past two years and I regularly help take care of my neighbors pets as well as my friends. I have taken care of dogs from 2 pounds all the way up to over 100 pounds and I would say I’m very well-versed in how to care for animals. My dog is extremely dog friendly and would love to meet and play with your dog friend.! If your dog is unsure of other dogs, then I can walk your dog without my dog or I can dogs sit at your house without bringing my dog with me. I currently work a hybrid position where I am fully home on Mondays and Fridays and during the weekend. During the week I come home during my lunch break from work to walk my dog, so if needed, I can walk your dog during my lunch break as well. Mondays and Fridays, I am fully available to care for your dog in my home, at your home or whichever arrangement works best. I do live in a dog friendly apartment, but I can care for either your dog in either my home or in your home. My dog and I are constantly going to the park and beach so if your dog is comfortable, I can also take them with me to the park or beach.

About: Hi, I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for pets! I’ve fostered countless dogs and cats through rescue work and have 3 of my own—2 dogs and a cat who made her way here all the way over from Kuwait of all places. Your pet will get a safe and secure, fully fenced, large backyard to play in with someone who is always present. My 3 animal-obsessed kids are eager shower your fur babies with endless love, snuggles, and playtime. Whether it’s a belly rub on the couch, a game of fetch in the yard, or a cozy nap, your pet will truly feel like part of our family. Our experience fostering animals with past trauma has taught us the importance of honoring each pet’s boundaries, respecting their unique physical and emotional needs, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. This is a labor of love! Involving the kids teaches them responsibility and small business skills. Proceeds are split evenly, with 80% going to their savings and 20% for spending after covering expenses like treats and supplies. A little financial motivation is a great way to sharpen their math skills! We’d be honored to care for your furry family member and look forward to meeting you soon! 🐾 As a stay-at-home mom of three, I’m available to offer morning, afternoon, and evening drop-in services. I’m also home most of the time to care for our overnight guests. My husband, a fellow animal lover, works from home half the week and is often present as well. We live with our three kids, ages 10, 9, and 7, who are just as excited to welcome your furry family member! I provide an extra-large, fully fenced backyard to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort. Your pup will have unlimited access to our home (and couches!), which they’ll share with our two elderly dogs and cat. If you prefer, I can crate your dog when I leave. I also have gates to separate your pet from ours, in the rare instance that no one is home. As a walking and drop-in provider, I will ensure your pet is always leashed and secured. I will promptly pick up and dispose of their waste, provide constant access to fresh water, and feed them according to their specific needs. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities!

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand that cats have unique personalities, routines, and comfort levels. I’ve cared for many cats over the years and know the importance of providing a calm, stress-free environment while maintaining feeding schedules, litter box cleanliness, playtime, and plenty of affection on their terms. I pay close attention to behavior and habits, making sure cats feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your cat is social and playful or more independent and reserved, I’ll respect their needs and provide attentive, reliable care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat is in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. As a cat owner, caring for a pet is already part of my everyday life, and I make time for feeding, play, exercise, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I’m an active, outdoors-oriented person, so I enjoy taking dogs on walks and giving them the exercise and attention they need. I also understand the importance of consistency, so I stick closely to each pet’s routine, whether that means regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or simply providing companionship. My schedule allows me to be dependable and give every pet the time, care, and attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications (if needed), favorite toys, and any special instructions. For dogs, I provide plenty of walks, playtime, attention, and positive interaction to keep them happy and active. For cats, I maintain a clean litter box, fresh food and water, playtime when they want it, and give them space if they prefer a quieter environment. I treat every home with respect by keeping it clean, secure, and following any instructions left by the owner. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is receiving reliable, loving care while you’re away.

About: Hi, I'm Eda! I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My grandpa had a beautiful farm in Temecula, where I grew up helping care for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, ducks, and even one very mean buck. From an early age, I also looked after my neighbors' pets, and I loved every minute of it. My family is from Turkey, where there's a deep appreciation for animals, especially dogs and cats. In my culture, animals are considered part of the family, and that's exactly how I've always treated them. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my life. I'm the friend who always finds the pet at the party, stops to admire every dog on a walk (with permission, of course), and can't resist saying hello to my neighborhood cat. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's unique personality and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion, I'll care for them with patience, attention, and lots of affection. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind, reliable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and work part-time from home. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, enrichment, or simply some extra companionship throughout the day. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I work from home part-time, giving me flexibility to provide attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and crate preferences. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

About: I have grown up with dogs of many breeds and sizes. I adopted my own dog 9 years ago from the San Diego Humane Society and trained him to be the good dog he is today. Since 2022, I have been working as a dog sitter, caring for a wide variety of dogs ranging from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs across many different breeds. Through these diverse experiences, I have learned a great deal about how to adapt to each dog's unique needs, behaviors, and care requirements. I work full time from home. I can keep an eye on your dog anytime he or she needs anything. I walk our dog in the morning and evening on weekdays at the lake near our place and on the weekend I’ll go to the dog park, hiking trails or other dog-friendly places. I am at home with the dogs. If I need to go out to the grocery store, I can watch the dogs from my security camera. The dogs are allowed to roam the house but if they need any special care it can be arranged.

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
