“Ra-chel was a trooper trying to find our place! She was excited to walk Benji and Benji was excited to be walked by her! She’s a pet parent so she gave him extra love. Would recommend and book with her again!”

“Janet was absolutely amazing while we were away for a week! She was always reliable and on time, making sure our dog Soul got plenty of exercise and that Soul, along with our two cats Pickle and Michael, received all the love and attention they needed. She sent daily updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind. It's clear she truly cares about the pets she looks after. We’re so grateful to have found her—Janet is definitely part of our pet care team from now on! Woof woof, meow 💜”

About: We’ve been raised around dogs and cats our whole life. As a result, we have vast experience of taking care of animals. Currently, we are the owners of 2 labrador retrievers, so we are in tune with the demands and joys of taking care of dogs. We are available for pet care in the morning before 7 and in the evening after 5 Monday through Friday. We are very flexible on the weekends. At our home, we have a fenced in small yard and also a dog park within my condominium which is spacious, clean, and fenced in. About: Hi, I'm Eda! I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My grandpa had a beautiful farm in Temecula, where I grew up helping care for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, ducks, and even one very mean buck. From an early age, I also looked after my neighbors' pets, and I loved every minute of it. My family is from Turkey, where there's a deep appreciation for animals, especially dogs and cats. In my culture, animals are considered part of the family, and that's exactly how I've always treated them. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my life. I'm the friend who always finds the pet at the party, stops to admire every dog on a walk (with permission, of course), and can't resist saying hello to my neighborhood cat. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's unique personality and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion, I'll care for them with patience, attention, and lots of affection. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind, reliable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and work part-time from home. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, enrichment, or simply some extra companionship throughout the day. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I work from home part-time, giving me flexibility to provide attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and crate preferences. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.
About: I have taken care of dogs for 10 years. Love taking walks and able to give meds. I am very sensitive to a dogs feelings and enjoy seeing them happy. I'll do whatever it takes. I am retired so I have plenty of time to spend and play with my furry friends! I'll be staying at your home, so I will stay close in the community. I also love to help people with their garden! I am great at following all instructions given by the owner. I take them on long walks, playing fetch and cuddling up on the couch with them.
About: I have 10 years experience with dogs and 3 with cats, I’m passionate about exercise and extend this to pets! I’m able to do home visits or take care of them at my apartment. I’m a UW grad student. I’m available Thursday-Sunday for pet care. I enjoy working with small to medium sized dogs and can take cats that aren’t afraid to meet new people (me) or that can warm up to me. I have a private 1 bedroom apartment for myself. My living room features a cat tree and many cat toys for needed stimulation. For dogs, I have toys and fidgets as well and enjoy taking them on walks or runs for me to achieve my daily move goals as well.
“Ivania was AMAZING!! She was great with our two dogs and carefully listened as I explained care instructions. Ivania was so easy to work with and kept us up to date with pictures and videos each time she was with them. I definitely recommend her and will contact her again in the future. :)”

About: Ever since I was little I dreamed of owning a doggy hotel. But growing up I realized most doggy hotels are caged or crated the majority of their stays. I would never like my own dog to be caged in all day and only allowed a certain amount of outdoor time, so I started pet sitting at home! I have cared for my friends dogs for over a decade now. I enjoy experiencing different breeds and truly understand them. I have a deep tub for them to splash around in on hot days and a twin mattress in the garage for them to snuggle up in at night! Not a luxurious hotel I dream about but we will get there soon! Pet care is easy for me! I wake up and they are my first priority. I watch them all eat during feeding time and make sure no one is bullied out of their food. And separate those that need to be fed alone. I work full-time from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention and companionship to your pets throughout the day. Because I’m home while working, I’m able to maintain your pet’s routine, provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, and lots of love and attention. My flexible work-from-home schedule also makes me a great option for house sitting, as your pets won’t have to spend long periods of time alone. I can be there to keep them company and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. At My Home Your pet’s comfort, safety, and activity level are always important to me. Pets in my care have opportunities to spend time in both the backyard and garage, where I spend much of my time with them. This can be a great fit for dogs who enjoy being active or need extra outdoor time throughout the day. Most guests have access to the backyard and garage while supervised, depending on their individual needs and temperament. At night, dogs typically sleep in the room with me so they have companionship and aren't left alone. Crate accommodations are also available for pets who are crate-trained or whose owners prefer that option. To help prevent food-related conflicts, dogs are separated during feeding times when necessary, allowing everyone to eat comfortably and safely. In Your Home When caring for your pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine while giving them as much companionship and attention as they need. I enjoy keeping pets active through walks, playtime, and other physical activities appropriate for their age, energy level, and abilities. My safety Your pet's safety and well-being are always my priority. My partner may occasionally check in on me and can be available to assist if needed, helping ensure I have additional support while caring for your pets.
“We’ve been using Sam for a couple months now and have been consistently impressed with her service, attention to detail and care for our dog Jake. She is a true animal lover! She is excellent at communicating so we can plan our daily walks for Jake in advance and is very responsible and trustworthy! She sends pictures and message updates to us after each walk so we know how Jake is doing while we’re away at work, which we really enjoy and appreciate. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for care for their fur baby! Thanks Sam!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Valley
Reyna was great with my dogs! She arrived on time, was very friendly, and handled both of them really well. She definitely knew what she was doing and made sure they got all their energy out during the walk. I felt comfortable leaving my dogs in her care and would absolutely book with her again.

We love Bobbie! She walks our dog Coco twice a week. She is lovely, reliable and proactive. On a few occasions when the weather forecast has been for rain she checks in ahead of time to confirm if Coco will still want a walk. Coco gets so excited when she sees her and has lots of fun with Bobbie. Could not recommend more highly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
