Tally was wonderful with my last-minute request to look in on my dog and take her for a walk when I needed to be away for most of the day and night. She took good care of my dog and took care to secure the house. I happily recommend Tally as a reliable pet care professional and I will use her services in the future if she is available.

About: Hey there! My name is Alison. If you're looking for a active, dog loving, non smoking, trustworthy professional to take care of your best friend then look no further! I care for a ten year old bichon frise mix. As a pet owner, my dog is my child and that is how I treat all animals. I know all dogs are different and I look forward to getting know yours. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet and greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face to face about your pup and your care expectations. Pets are family! Daily care includes feeding, playtime, walks, and cuddles. Bi-weekly grooming sessions, yearly vet visits, and weekend adventures create lasting bonds and health. In my home, I prioritize a safe environment, proper nutrition, regular exercise, mental stimulation, and most importantly, love and companionship. At clients' homes, I ensure their pets receive the same level of care and attention, adhering to specific instructions and routines provided by the owners.

Karmelita was amazing! Zippo can be kind of skittish with sitters, but had no problem coming out for her. Our cat needs medication regularly twice a day and Karmelita had no problem giving him the medication or with the schedule. And even stayed to play with him for a bit! She was an amazing communicator and took lots of photos. I highly recommend Karmelita and hope she is available next time we need someone to watch our cat!

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and that passion has only grown over the years. As a proud dog mom for more than 15 years, caring for furbabies brings me so much joy—it's truly my dopamine! Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, or providing a safe and loving environment, I treat every pet like family and care for them as if they were my own. I have been working from home since 2018. My schedule is 8-5pm M-F. My position allows me to be available to be available to tend to their needs. I also take my furbabies to the Dog park or on a walk before and after my shift. My home is central air-conditioned and heating. My backyard is fully fenced in. I work from home and have plenty of space for them to roam around, play and get comfy.Crates in our home are used as luxuries if they wanna nap or have personal space . They are also used for feeding time if they are a food protector. I enjoy giving them individual attention wether they are cuddles, ball players or enjoy walks. Every pet requires different things and I like to learn them to cater to their needs.

She sent plenty of updates and photos—and from the looks of it, they were both very happy! I felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. We will definitely be using her services again. Samantha and Leighlan are excellent! They did drop-in visits for our 3 cats for a long weekend. They’re responsible and quick to respond. Everyone was fed, litter changed. We even got pictures of our cats, which can be tricky because our cats often hide when new people come over. We’ll be using Samantha and Leighlan again next time!

We are available for pet care in the morning before 7 and in the evening after 5 Monday through Friday. We are very flexible on the weekends. At our home, we have a fenced in small yard and also a dog park within my condominium which is spacious, clean, and fenced in. About: Hi, I'm Eda! I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My grandpa had a beautiful farm in Temecula, where I grew up helping care for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, ducks, and even one very mean buck. From an early age, I also looked after my neighbors' pets, and I loved every minute of it. My family is from Turkey, where there's a deep appreciation for animals, especially dogs and cats. In my culture, animals are considered part of the family, and that's exactly how I've always treated them. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my life. I'm the friend who always finds the pet at the party, stops to admire every dog on a walk (with permission, of course), and can't resist saying hello to my neighborhood cat. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's unique personality and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion, I'll care for them with patience, attention, and lots of affection. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind, reliable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and work part-time from home. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, enrichment, or simply some extra companionship throughout the day. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I work from home part-time, giving me flexibility to provide attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and crate preferences. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

About: Hi, I’m Ken 👋 I bring years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments, from playful pups to anxious and senior dogs who need a little extra patience. I’m a PAWS of Coronado Volunteer Behavior Training Level 1 graduate, and I’ve spent years volunteering in shelter environments where safety, calm handling, and compassion truly matter. I’ve also worked alongside canine police officers in training scenarios, giving me a strong foundation in reading dog behavior, maintaining control, and building trust through calm, consistent energy. Dogs tend to respond quickly to me — and both dogs and kids seem to sense that steady, grounded disposition. Every walk is about more than exercise. It’s about trust, structure, and care. I treat every dog as if they were my own and every client with the respect and reliability I’d expect for my own family. I maintain a structured weekly schedule so I can be dependable and fully present for each pet: • Mondays: Early mornings available (6:00–9:00 AM) Afternoon & evening available (2:30–10:00 PM) • Tuesdays: Available after 3:00 PM • Wednesdays: Available after 10:00 AM • Thursdays: Open availability • Fridays: Available after 4:00 PM • Weekends: Flexible availability I only accept bookings I can fully commit to, ensuring every walk or visit is calm, safe, and unhurried. How I Care for Pets Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or during walks and drop-in visits, my approach is centered on safety, structure, and trust. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, temperament, and any training cues or boundaries already in place. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and keep things consistent, because dogs thrive on routine and calm leadership. I’m trained in reading body language and stress signals, which helps me adjust in real time and keep pets comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, organized, and low-impact. I leave the space as I found it and provide updates so owners feel informed and at ease. During walks, I prioritize safe leash handling, situational awareness, and positive reinforcement. I don’t rush walks — I allow time for exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual. Some dogs want adventure, others need reassurance. My goal is always the same: a calm, safe, and positive experience for both the pet and their owner.

About: Currently, an employee of a 24hr animal hospital, as well as, worked as lead staff in a dog daycare for six years I'm certain your dog will have a very safe and fun time! I've had 2 dogs for 18 years and still have my one mini-Aussie and we frequently go on hikes and road trips. I'm also versed in a little grooming having done it my own Aussie. I currently work full-time on the weekends so weekdays are my main free schedule. I typically go on hikes (short or long), walks for photography, and sometimes go for a run. I believe in "leave no trace" and as an organized and neat person, I will tend to clean up for others ensuring that everything is well kept as my way of showing respect for other's homes. I will follow any routines and guidelines for your pet and also get frequent notifications on their status along with professional pictures (if requested). I can also offer to take your pet on hikes with me as I tend to go frequently. As an employee of an animal hospital, if any accidents were to happen I can take it upon myself to take them with me to the hospital.

About: Ever since I was little I dreamed of owning a doggy hotel. But growing up I realized most doggy hotels are caged or crated the majority of their stays. I would never like my own dog to be caged in all day and only allowed a certain amount of outdoor time, so I started pet sitting at home! I have cared for my friends dogs for over a decade now. I enjoy experiencing different breeds and truly understand them. I have a deep tub for them to splash around in on hot days and a twin mattress in the garage for them to snuggle up in at night! Not a luxurious hotel I dream about but we will get there soon! Pet care is easy for me! I wake up and they are my first priority. I watch them all eat during feeding time and make sure no one is bullied out of their food. And separate those that need to be fed alone. I work full-time from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention and companionship to your pets throughout the day. Because I’m home while working, I’m able to maintain your pet’s routine, provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, and lots of love and attention. My flexible work-from-home schedule also makes me a great option for house sitting, as your pets won’t have to spend long periods of time alone. I can be there to keep them company and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. At My Home Your pet’s comfort, safety, and activity level are always important to me. Pets in my care have opportunities to spend time in both the backyard and garage, where I spend much of my time with them. This can be a great fit for dogs who enjoy being active or need extra outdoor time throughout the day. Most guests have access to the backyard and garage while supervised, depending on their individual needs and temperament. At night, dogs typically sleep in the room with me so they have companionship and aren't left alone. Crate accommodations are also available for pets who are crate-trained or whose owners prefer that option. To help prevent food-related conflicts, dogs are separated during feeding times when necessary, allowing everyone to eat comfortably and safely. In Your Home When caring for your pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine while giving them as much companionship and attention as they need. I enjoy keeping pets active through walks, playtime, and other physical activities appropriate for their age, energy level, and abilities. My safety Your pet's safety and well-being are always my priority. My partner may occasionally check in on me and can be available to assist if needed, helping ensure I have additional support while caring for your pets.

Alanis took such great care of my anxious older cat. She followed all my instructions (even those super specific ones we all have for our unique pets?), and she was wonderfully communicative before, during, and after all of her check-ins. I arrived home to a very happy and content kitty who'd clearly had all her needs met while I was away. Thank you so much, Alanis!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
