“Tally was wonderful with my last-minute request to look in on my dog and take her for a walk when I needed to be away for most of the day and night. She took good care of my dog and took care to secure the house. I happily recommend Tally as a reliable pet care professional and I will use her services in the future if she is available.”

“Ra-chel was absolutely wonderful! She was communicative, punctual, and followed all of the instructions I gave her. I have a puppy and a 3-year-old dog with anxiety, and she took the time to make sure both of them were comfortable and cared for. She sent plenty of updates and photos—and from the looks of it, they were both very happy! I felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. We will definitely be using her services again. Highly recommend!”

“Amber did a drop-in visit with me and did a good job with short notice because I needed to work late. She did a report card and sent a picture and did a good job with Bailey.”

“This was my first time using rover and I will most definitely be using Adrian again in the future! The daily and detailed updates/photos gave me wonderful peace of mind that my cat was in great hands while I was away. The daily check-ins were always that designated times and communications were quick & precise!”

About: Hi, I'm Eda! I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My grandpa had a beautiful farm in Temecula, where I grew up helping care for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, ducks, and even one very mean buck. From an early age, I also looked after my neighbors' pets, and I loved every minute of it. My family is from Turkey, where there's a deep appreciation for animals, especially dogs and cats. In my culture, animals are considered part of the family, and that's exactly how I've always treated them. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my life. I'm the friend who always finds the pet at the party, stops to admire every dog on a walk (with permission, of course), and can't resist saying hello to my neighborhood cat. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's unique personality and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet companion, I'll care for them with patience, attention, and lots of affection. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind, reliable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and work part-time from home. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, enrichment, or simply some extra companionship throughout the day. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I work from home part-time, giving me flexibility to provide attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and crate preferences. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

“Cynthia was amazing with our three kitties - they warmed up to her as soon as they met, and she was wonderful with them. Followed all care instructions, and was very responsive and responsible! Would definitely recommend and book with her again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life so I’m very familiar with long walks playtime, feeding administering medication and most importantly love and comfortability. I hate to say it, but my dogs are spoiled like they are my own children so my Doberman is my son and my cocker spaniel mix is my daughter and I do refer to them that way 😂 I can’t wait for them to have a bunch of doggy cousins! My work weeks are pretty flexible. I go into work for a minimal amount of time. I have dogs of my own so I don’t like to keep them home alone for long. Our days are filled with cat naps long walks. They are free roaming animals so they’re welcome on the furniture and the bed. There is an outdoor patio area that is turfed that my own dogs enjoy . They are feed once in the morning once in the evening. My Doberman is also spent doing mental stimulation and training so I’m happy to teach your dog a few new tricks also :)
About: As a cat owner myself, I understand that cats have unique personalities, routines, and comfort levels. I’ve cared for many cats over the years and know the importance of providing a calm, stress-free environment while maintaining feeding schedules, litter box cleanliness, playtime, and plenty of affection on their terms. I pay close attention to behavior and habits, making sure cats feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your cat is social and playful or more independent and reserved, I’ll respect their needs and provide attentive, reliable care. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat is in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. As a cat owner, caring for a pet is already part of my everyday life, and I make time for feeding, play, exercise, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I’m an active, outdoors-oriented person, so I enjoy taking dogs on walks and giving them the exercise and attention they need. I also understand the importance of consistency, so I stick closely to each pet’s routine, whether that means regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or simply providing companionship. My schedule allows me to be dependable and give every pet the time, care, and attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications (if needed), favorite toys, and any special instructions. For dogs, I provide plenty of walks, playtime, attention, and positive interaction to keep them happy and active. For cats, I maintain a clean litter box, fresh food and water, playtime when they want it, and give them space if they prefer a quieter environment. I treat every home with respect by keeping it clean, secure, and following any instructions left by the owner. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is receiving reliable, loving care while you’re away.
About: We’ve been raised around dogs and cats our whole life. As a result, we have vast experience of taking care of animals. Currently, we are the owners of 2 labrador retrievers, so we are in tune with the demands and joys of taking care of dogs. We are available for pet care in the morning before 7 and in the evening after 5 Monday through Friday. We are very flexible on the weekends. At our home, we have a fenced in small yard and also a dog park within my condominium which is spacious, clean, and fenced in. When taking care of dogs at other’s homes, we are willing to follow their instructions.
“Samantha A. did a really awesome job checking in on our pets. I was impressed how well directions were followed even without a meet and greet. All the pets were healthy and happy upon our return. Thank you!”
“Ivania helped care for my 3 dogs when I had to go out of town on short notice. She updated me and asked a lot of questions to make sure that they would be comfortable with her. I would recommend Ivania to anyone!”

About: Hi, I’m Ken 👋 I bring years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments, from playful pups to anxious and senior dogs who need a little extra patience. I’m a PAWS of Coronado Volunteer Behavior Training Level 1 graduate, and I’ve spent years volunteering in shelter environments where safety, calm handling, and compassion truly matter. I’ve also worked alongside canine police officers in training scenarios, giving me a strong foundation in reading dog behavior, maintaining control, and building trust through calm, consistent energy. Dogs tend to respond quickly to me — and both dogs and kids seem to sense that steady, grounded disposition. Every walk is about more than exercise. It’s about trust, structure, and care. I treat every dog as if they were my own and every client with the respect and reliability I’d expect for my own family. I maintain a structured weekly schedule so I can be dependable and fully present for each pet: • Mondays: Early mornings available (6:00–9:00 AM) Afternoon & evening available (2:30–10:00 PM) • Tuesdays: Available after 3:00 PM • Wednesdays: Available after 10:00 AM • Thursdays: Open availability • Fridays: Available after 4:00 PM • Weekends: Flexible availability I only accept bookings I can fully commit to, ensuring every walk or visit is calm, safe, and unhurried. How I Care for Pets Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or during walks and drop-in visits, my approach is centered on safety, structure, and trust. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, temperament, and any training cues or boundaries already in place. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and keep things consistent, because dogs thrive on routine and calm leadership. I’m trained in reading body language and stress signals, which helps me adjust in real time and keep pets comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, organized, and low-impact. I leave the space as I found it and provide updates so owners feel informed and at ease. During walks, I prioritize safe leash handling, situational awareness, and positive reinforcement. I don’t rush walks — I allow time for exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual. Some dogs want adventure, others need reassurance. My goal is always the same: a calm, safe, and positive experience for both the pet and their owner.
“Alanis took such great care of my anxious older cat. She followed all my instructions (even those super specific ones we all have for our unique pets?), and she was wonderfully communicative before, during, and after all of her check-ins. I arrived home to a very happy and content kitty who'd clearly had all her needs met while I was away. Thank you so much, Alanis!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Valley
Mackenzie did an awesome job watching our two cats! She is a great communicator and is very kind. Her calm demeanor helped our shy cats warm up to her right away. We felt very comfortable and at ease knowing our babies were in good hands. I would definitely book Mackenzie again!
This was our second time asking Sahba to take care of our cats, and once again she did an amazing job. Sahba asked questions whenever something came up, which gave us peace of mind. She also sent us lots of photos and videos of our cats while we were away. We felt completely comfortable leaving our home and our cats in her care. We highly recommend her!

Kelsey was incredible! She was so kind and communicative with me about my kitties and any issues that arose (for example, my automatic litterbox got stuck and needed to be manually reset). I can tell she truly has a deep love and respect for all animals. One of my cats is very shy usually but by day 2 he was coming out to see her for treats and toys during their drop in! I came home to happy and healthy animals and Kelsey was even kind enough to bring my Amazon packages inside. This was a great experience and I’ll be using her in the future again for sure!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
