“Alanis took such great care of my anxious older cat. She followed all my instructions (even those super specific ones we all have for our unique pets?), and she was wonderfully communicative before, during, and after all of her check-ins. I arrived home to a very happy and content kitty who'd clearly had all her needs met while I was away. Thank you so much, Alanis!”
About: I am a very empathetic person, and I love my dog dearly. I’ve had over 15 Danes and 3 Weiner dogs and every breed needing a home in between. My dogs is what connected me to my dad, my dog helped heal him, guide him to the next stage of life and helped me grieve. I see the power in pets, and see how hard life is navigating real world responsibilities with giving our pets care when we work, travel or whatever. I bring my love from a deep rooted place of humanity, helping other humans find security peace and ease while being able to enjoy life and also let their pets have fun. I work from home, I want something where I can get my mind outside itself and walk dogs, have fun with them, give back and check in and love on other humans in my own way. Through caring for the most precious thing we have, our pets. In my own home I have a 6 year old dachshund, I would be only doing over nights if I had a trusting relationship with said client. Going to a clients home, only if my partner can watch my dog and I as well have formed a trust with client. If a dog gets along with my dachshund and the parents approve after a few interactions I can absolutely share my home.

“Just got back with Cynthia as our dog walker when she moved back to the area. She is great with Dingo and he listens to her very well. They have a good relationship and he trusts her. Very happy to have her back!”

“Jayna was fantastic with our 10-month-old boy! She’s wonderful with him. She was professional, communicative, followed our instructions carefully, and even went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable while we were away. Jayna is truly part of the family now, and our pup loves seeing her. Thank you for everything, Jayna — you’re the best!”

“CJ did a great job with the cats while I was gone for 10 days. He was able to come twice a day and hang out with them and give them the attention they needed. He updated me on everything and was easy to communicate with. He also shared great pictures from each visit! I came home to two happy cats.”

“It's been hard to find a person that our chaotic dogs would love and Virginia came and meet them and assist with checking in on them, all of a sudden, these dogs have a new bestfriend!! Thank you Virginia, i dont know what type of powers you have but you did such a great job with our little ones!!”

“Victoria was amazing, punctual, reliable and so helpful. She gave me so much confidence and peace of mind knowing she was coming to see my babies when I had to be gone for 11 hours straight for work. I knew she would take amazing care of them and that I had nothing to worry about.”

“Gretchen was really great with Suni and spent some time with him outside. She sent photos and updates during the hour and put up with the process to kennel him when she was leaving. We would definitely book with her again.”

About: You need a dog sitter? I’m definitely your girl. The reason I’m different apart from other dog sitters is because no matter where I go I’ll stop to say hi to your dog and even gotten offers to dog sit from a few customers of mine from my job. Which, I was more than happy to do so. But, I mostly dog sit for my friends and family for some dog experience. I’m very caring, patient and playful with animals. I even noticed how excited they get when they see me again. Give me a shot and I promise I won’t let you down! I’m looking to take the next steps branch out and try something new so I’ll be available full time. If you have any questions feel free to message me. I usually take care of pets at clients home only because it’s easier for the dog to not feel stressed out over any transitions. So I like to make the pet feel as comfortable as possible like sit down and figure out the way the dog likes to eat, play, sleep, drink, walk, and how they respond. For example, if I notice the dog doesn’t like to eat out of the bowl I’ll put a little bit food on my hand or on the floor to see how they respond that way little by little they start to feel more comfy with me. I also like to make sure the dog enjoys walking by trying to avoid running into other dogs and making sure I give them the time and attention to go to the bathroom whenever needed. I do like giving treats to the dog to help them feel happy. I also like to get their bed ready for them so they’re nice and cozy. I also like enjoy play time like catch or just sunbathing with them.
“Sahba is great! She really cares for my cats and makes an effort to pet and play with my shy cat who’s always hiding, first person ever to actually try! She’s very sweet with them and gives them real quality time and love. I would not trust my cats to anyone else!”

“Victoria was so sweet and attentive to my cat! I appreciate all the photos she sent me too! She was quick with her responses and easy to talk to. I will definitely rehire her if I’m in need again. Thank you so much!”

About: Hi, I’m Ken 👋 I bring years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments, from playful pups to anxious and senior dogs who need a little extra patience. I’m a PAWS of Coronado Volunteer Behavior Training Level 1 graduate, and I’ve spent years volunteering in shelter environments where safety, calm handling, and compassion truly matter. I’ve also worked alongside canine police officers in training scenarios, giving me a strong foundation in reading dog behavior, maintaining control, and building trust through calm, consistent energy. Dogs tend to respond quickly to me — and both dogs and kids seem to sense that steady, grounded disposition. Every walk is about more than exercise. It’s about trust, structure, and care. I treat every dog as if they were my own and every client with the respect and reliability I’d expect for my own family. I maintain a structured weekly schedule so I can be dependable and fully present for each pet: • Mondays: Early mornings available (6:00–9:00 AM) Afternoon & evening available (2:30–10:00 PM) • Tuesdays: Available after 3:00 PM • Wednesdays: Available after 10:00 AM • Thursdays: Open availability • Fridays: Available after 4:00 PM • Weekends: Flexible availability I only accept bookings I can fully commit to, ensuring every walk or visit is calm, safe, and unhurried. How I Care for Pets Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or during walks and drop-in visits, my approach is centered on safety, structure, and trust. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, temperament, and any training cues or boundaries already in place. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and keep things consistent, because dogs thrive on routine and calm leadership. I’m trained in reading body language and stress signals, which helps me adjust in real time and keep pets comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, organized, and low-impact. I leave the space as I found it and provide updates so owners feel informed and at ease. During walks, I prioritize safe leash handling, situational awareness, and positive reinforcement. I don’t rush walks — I allow time for exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual. Some dogs want adventure, others need reassurance. My goal is always the same: a calm, safe, and positive experience for both the pet and their owner.
Casa de Oro-Mount Helix cat parents share their Rover experiences
Ashley is my go to cat sitter! I appreciate her flexibility, love and wisdom for animals, and her kind personality. Sola loves her! She takes pictures - keeping me abreast of what’s Sola is up to. I love the cuddle pictures… warms my heart knowing Sola feels safe, loved, and comfortable when I am away. I’m grateful that I’ve found Ashley -knowing Sola is in good hands lessens my worries when I travel!!

Kelsey was incredible! She was so kind and communicative with me about my kitties and any issues that arose (for example, my automatic litterbox got stuck and needed to be manually reset). I can tell she truly has a deep love and respect for all animals. One of my cats is very shy usually but by day 2 he was coming out to see her for treats and toys during their drop in! I came home to happy and healthy animals and Kelsey was even kind enough to bring my Amazon packages inside. This was a great experience and I’ll be using her in the future again for sure!
