About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! From fostering and eventually adopting my beloved Boston Terrier to raising six cats and caring for two large Labradors over the past two years, I’ve gained a lifetime of hands-on experience with animals of all personalities, sizes, and needs. I genuinely love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, extra cuddles, sticking to a specific routine, or simply providing a calm and comforting presence, I’m happy to accommodate each pet’s individual needs. One of my latest adventures in pet care has been preparing fresh, homemade meals from scratch every week for the two Labradors I care for. It’s given me an even greater appreciation for the importance of nutrition, consistency, and attention to detail when caring for animals. I also have extensive experience with house sitting and caring for pets while their owners travel. I regularly look after a friend’s beloved Bulldog while she’s away at her second home in Austin, Texas. One of my biggest pet-sitting experiences involved caring for six animals under one roof, three dogs and three cats, including a dog who required daily medication. I managed everyone’s individual routines, meals, and needs while their owners were away in Los Angeles, and everything went wonderfully! I do not have set days off besides Fridays, but with enough notice I can make anything work. At home my pets have set meal times and bed times, but during the day are allowed to come and go as they please through the dog door and within the large acre fenced yard. Kelsey was incredible! She was so kind and communicative with me about my kitties and any issues that arose (for example, my automatic litterbox got stuck and needed to be manually reset). I can tell she truly has a deep love and respect for all animals. One of my cats is very shy usually but by day 2 he was coming out to see her for treats and toys during their drop in! I came home to happy and healthy animals and Kelsey was even kind enough to bring my Amazon packages inside. This was a great experience and I’ll be using her in the future again for sure!
