“Maureen is the BEST and my go-to pet sitter. She cares for every pet as if they were her own. Her communication is stellar and she sends updates and the cutest pictures of the pets. My little zoo is so happy whenever she is over!”

“Courtney took amazing care of my fur babies, managed the house during the chaos of construction in my back yard and provided regular updates to put my mind at ease. Recommend a ns would use again!”

“We were fortunate to have Jamie back for the second time and she did an amazing job taking care of the pups. We even added my son’s dog (with a ton of energy) and she handled them all perfectly. Thanks Jamie!!”

“Tally was great with my chocolate lab who has separation anxiety. She was attentive and gave him lots of love and hugs. My house was immaculate when I came home after a 4 day trip. Highly recommend Tally!”

“Stephanie did a great job house sitting for us on short notice. The dogs, the cat, and the house were all well taken care of. We got updates and photos daily and felt comfortable right from our meet and greet. We'd definitely book again!”

“Alan is was really kind. She house sat for my 2 year old cat Jasper for 4 days. He has special medical needs, with 5 different medications given at specific times during the day, and needs to be given lots of attention. She said she didnt want to take up any extra jobs while watching him just so that he got the love and attention he needs. I so appreciate that. I will definitely be booking with her again with our next family trip :)”

“What a great experience! I had Vanessa stay at my place for 5 nights with my 2 dogs and it was great. I got pictures of my girls and updates daily so communication was excellent! My girls were happy and healthy when I got home and my place was clean. Will absolutely be booking again! :)”

“As anyone who travel outside the country, the first hurdle we face is how to ensure our fur friends continue to be spoiled in the way they are used to. In our case we wanted someone to care for the pups and our house. I am here to report that Kailou did an excellent job on both counts. The frequency of her videos quickly reduced any appreciation we had about leaving. Well done Kailou and 😊.”

“Brooke was absolutely wonderful!!! Leaving our 7-year-old Japanese Akita with someone new was a big decision for us, but Brooke exceeded all of our expectations. She took the time to build trust with Eoshi, and it was clear from her updates that she genuinely cared about his well-being. When we returned home, Eoshi was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. He ate well, enjoyed plenty of walks, and seemed completely comfortable with Brooke. We were especially happy to see that they developed such a great bond while we were away. Brooke also took exceptional care of our home. Everything was spotless when we returned, and she even started a load of laundry with the bed linens before leaving, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely trust Brooke with Eoshi again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Cristen did a wonderful job. This was my first time doing Rover and I was anxious about it but she made it such a great experience. I also Can en back to a house that was in even better state than when I left it. The dogs loved her as well. She clearly loves dogs and knows what she’s doing. 10/10 would highly recommend. I plan to use her next time I need a sitter.”

“Alyssa was incredible! She was timely to the meet-and-greet. She was very attentive and flexible. She did a great job of giving Niko his medications and adjusted her work schedule to be able to let Niko out in the middle of the day. I made a special request for Alyssa to stay late in case my flight was delayed. I'm glad I did because I got delayed, and Alyssa was there to let Niko out one last time before she left. Overall, an incredible sitter that truly prioritizes your pets. I'll be reaching out again. Thank you!”

“Great guys, was extremely attentive with both my larger dogs and had absolutely no issues taking care of them while he house sat. Would definitely hire again! Thankss”
“Tahniiyah was AMAZING! She was so great with my dog who is typically very anxious around new people. She was on time, very communicative, respectful of our home, and all around amazing person. I will definitely be hiring her again.”

“Kaitlin took such great care of my pets, and my apartment! I’m always nervous to have someone new stay in my space and care for my animals, but Kaitlin’s caring and kind demeanor made me feel at ease :) She sent me updates and pictures daily, and was easily able to follow all the instructions. I know my pets really enjoyed spending time with her, too. She also left my apartment tidy and clean, which was so nice to come home to after a long trip.”

“Chase was the best! He was very active and loving with our 1 year old pup, Fenway. He was extremely communicative, friendly and warm. He sent several video and picture updates throughout the weekend and Fenway looked so happy in every one! Chase left our home very clean and took great care of everything. We look forward to having him back…and Fenway misses him already!”

About: I have loved animals my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. Growing up, I regularly walked all the neighborhood dogs, and today I help care for my friends' pets by walking their dogs and house sitting for both dogs and cats while they're away on vacation. I currently have two cats and a senior dog, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your dog loves a long walk, a slower stroll, or just some extra attention and companionship, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every pet like they're my own and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust. I love animals of all sizes and look forward to giving your furry family member the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. I work full-time in wholesale flowers and finish my workday around 2:00 PM, which gives me dedicated time each weekday to care for pets. I'm available Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. I usually spend my afternoons outside, and I often find myself wishing I had another dog to join me on my walks! My own senior dog prefers her walks later in the evening, so my afternoons are the perfect time to give your dog the exercise, attention, and companionship they need. Whether it's an energetic walk, playtime, or a visit to check in on your cat, I'm excited to help care for your furry family members. I believe pets thrive when they have a consistent routine, a clean environment, and lots of love and attention. At home, I make it a habit to check my pets' food and water every day, clean their bowls regularly, keep their litter box fresh, and maintain a clean water fountain with routine filter changes. I also make sure my senior dog has fresh food and water, a clean feeding area, and that everyone is happy, healthy, and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible because I know consistency helps pets feel safe while their family is away. I'll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of attention, exercise or playtime, and a clean space. I'll also keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or anything that seems unusual and communicate with you right away if needed. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, and I'm happy to provide photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Maria was fantastic. We were worried about leaving our two young dogs with someone new but she treated them like they were her own. She also sent updates and pictures as requested and I could tell that they loved her. We are so glad that we found her!”

“Bobbie S is an amazing dog sitter. She took such good care of our dogs and followed our instructions to the letter. Our dogs were in such a relaxed and happy mood when we returned just as if we had been there ourselves. 6/5 stars.”

About: I have been a veterinary technician for 8 yrs with experience in both day practice and emergency hospital care. I have medical skills in cases of medication administration in all forms, as well as a hospital willing to care for the animals I sit for should they need medical services. Animals are my passion and being around them fills my heart with joy. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rats, reptiles, and horses both stallions and geldings. I also have some experience with goats and sheep. I have experience with aggressive animals as well but I feel that pets are family members and I am confident in my skills as a care taker for your pets. I think this is just as rewarding as caring for the animals in the hospital I work for. I work full time typically from 9to6 or 930 to 630 so home visits and walks can take place before or after I get off of work and anytime on my days off but they change weekly I am always aware of where your pets are and I always try to stick to schedules they already have. I will never take them out in a vehicle unless it's a specific request and walking will always be on a safe secure leash

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Casa de Oro-Mount Helix
Bobbie was a fantastic house and pup sitter. She was very attentive to my young Australian Shepherd and ensured he was engaged and cared for while I was out of town. She is also an excellent communicator and left my residence in excellent shape for my return. I would absolutely recommend and hire her again!

Mariah was truly amazing. I was gone for 5 days and my dog started coughing seriously the 3rd day. She kept me informed by text including video, and, on her own contacted the Rover veterinarian (I didn't now there is one!) for advice which was very helpful. We ultimately decided she should take him to Urgent Care which she did willingly. She sat with the vet while they called me on the phone and she made very clear notes for me to use on my return. Mariah was up with Joey in the middle of the night for two nights - and after visiting Urgent Care, she gave him medicine at 3AM. And, when I talked to her, she seemed much more concerned with interrupting my vacation than that she was losing sleep and having to do more than expected. She sounded so loving to Joey the entire time - and thought her way through a number of possibilities to relieve Joey's distress. AND when she left, she had washed the sheets and towels and the house was as clean as when I left. I could not have expected more from anyone. She was absolutely terrific - and I am so grateful.
Angie took great care of Ziggy while we were away for almost two weeks. She took him on lots of walks and sent us pictures and videos every day, which we really appreciated and helped us feel comfortable knowing he was happy and well cared for. Ziggy seemed to really enjoy his time with her, and we came home to a happy pup! Would definitely book Angie again in the future!

Stephanie was absolutely amazing with my Australian Shepherd and two cats! She walked my dog several times every day, even took her to dog beach, and she made sure my pets were never alone for more than a few hours. She also sent multiple updates every day with plenty of great pictures. I felt completely at ease while on my vacation. I came home to a clean house and a very happy, healthy fur family. I highly recommend her services. She’s the best!

Milla did a wonderful job watching over my two elderly dogs. She was very friendly, quick to respond and sent me photo updates which I greatly appreciated. It’s always nice to feel at ease leaving town knowing your pet is in good hands and Milla did just that for me. I would highly recommended Milla and her services!

Five stars is not enough. From the first minute of meeting Courtney I was comforted by her calm and warm demeanor. I knew my two large dogs were in good hands which helped relieve some of the anxiety of leaving your dogs at home. Courtney is excellent at communicating, setting expectations, and making sure she has everything she needs to care for your dogs. She provided lots of photos and updates, and I got to see that my anxious velcro dog had quickly warmed up to her. Unfortunately a breaker tripped during her sit, but Courtney went above and beyond to help troubleshoot and get things squared away with power at the house. I will absolutely book with Courtney again and I’m more likely to travel knowing my boys are in good hands. Thank you Courtney, you are the best.

Sarah spent a week staying with my dog while my husband and I enjoyed a long overdue vacation. She was very communicative, sent pictures every day, followed instructions and left the house tidy and secure. She even left a thoughtful photo, card and gift for me and Bunny! I will definitely be utilizing her for future vacations, what an asset!

I’m always so grateful to have Sarah look after my sweet old pup when I’m away! And this time Sarah also cared for my friend’s dog who was visiting. Sarah always makes the time to ensure that she’s up to date on any changes and she even came by for an extra meet and greet to meet my friend’s dog before her stay. I love getting all of her updates, and knowing that the pups are loved so fully while I am away makes it easier for me to be present and enjoy my time out of town.

Brandy was a fantastic dog sitter for our old man, Dash. She communicated regularly and gave him all the love while we were gone. She flowed instructions and made sure he was well cared for. I’m not even sure Dash was all that happy for us to come home. 🤣 We will absolutely reach out again.

Alexis was amazing! I've always done check-ins and never used house-sitting, and Alexis was so helpful and responsive during the booking process, along with the meet-and-greet and planning process. She also communicated frequently during my trip, and as a bonus, she made a gorgeous drawing of my sweet pup, and left it as a surprise. My next house/pet sitter WILL be her!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sarah was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Marshall. From the very beginning, she was communicative, thoughtful, and clearly cared about making sure both Marshall and I felt comfortable. Marshall was adjusting to a new living situation, and Sarah was incredibly patient, attentive, and accommodating to his needs and routine. She provided excellent care, kept me updated, and gave me great peace of mind while I was working long night shifts. It was obvious that Marshall was happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention and affection while I was away. Sarah was also extremely respectful of my home and left everything clean and tidy. I truly appreciated how considerate she was of both my space and Marshall’s needs. I would not hesitate to book with Sarah again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter.

I am so thankful for Christine's care. She is very kind, communicative, and reliable. When I needed someone last minute, she was ready to go and super helpful. Christine made my dog feel reassured and loved while I've been away. Thank you so much for all your care💖

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix on Rover is $83.25 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 6,184 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Casa de Oro-Mount Helix. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Casa de Oro-Mount Helix walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Casa de Oro-Mount Helix choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
