About: I’ve been a vet assistant for over 20 years. I have been a pet sitter back in New Jersey. It’s what I love to do. Pet sitting is what I love to do. Rover gives me the flexibility to make my own schedule. Giving me the opportunity to give lots of love and attention to your fur baby or babies! I am only able to care for pets at clients houses as I do not have a fenced in back yard. I feel when dogs and cats stay in their own home they are more comfortable.

About: I have never known a life without a pet of some kind. Having animals, I learned very early on the importance of responsibility as well as empathy for the feelings and lives of others. Just as we pay attention to human body language for cues, the same standard comes into play for animals. Because they can’t speak like we do, it is important to be attentive as well as respectful of their needs. I have 10+ years of experience from not only my own array of pets (dogs, geckos, horses, chickens, ratties, cats, etc), but also from my main line of work. I have been an in home nursing assistant for 5 years, beginning with taking care of my great grandmother and her dog in her home which blossomed into the career I know and love today. My integrity and compassion for both animals and humans has led to many opportunities for me. From walking dogs for neighbors and friends, grooming assistance, occasional medical assistance, Overnight sitting/boarding, and even small excursions for enrichment, all the way down to childcare in some cases. I am a child at heart and with animals, my spirit is at play. they bring just as much joy to my life as I hope to bring to theirs. I’d love to treat your furrever baby like my own while you’re away 🤍 I am currently taking a break from my human patients and putting more emphasis on building my animal care portfolio. I’d like to become a pet sitter/walker full time while back in school. I am able to provide A well enriched and attentive home with lots of toys and attention to offer. There is a park less than 5 minutes walking distance as well that I’d be happy to take your pet to visit for potty breaks and play, should that be okay with you. I don’t particularly like to crate dogs, however, if that is their safe space or they happen to be crate trained that’s no issue at all/is appreciated if they do not do well being left alone for an hour or so at a time. Communication is key and you will always be contacted should anything of concern arise.

Crystal was terrific with our 2 dogs - I think they were disappointed when we came home. Bobbie was a fantastic house and pup sitter. She was very attentive to my young Australian Shepherd and ensured he was engaged and cared for while I was out of town. She is also an excellent communicator and left my residence in excellent shape for my return. I would absolutely recommend and hire her again!
Mariah was truly amazing. I was gone for 5 days and my dog started coughing seriously the 3rd day. She kept me informed by text including video, and, on her own contacted the Rover veterinarian (I didn't now there is one!) for advice which was very helpful. We ultimately decided she should take him to Urgent Care which she did willingly. She sat with the vet while they called me on the phone and she made very clear notes for me to use on my return. Mariah was up with Joey in the middle of the night for two nights - and after visiting Urgent Care, she gave him medicine at 3AM. And, when I talked to her, she seemed much more concerned with interrupting my vacation than that she was losing sleep and having to do more than expected. She sounded so loving to Joey the entire time - and thought her way through a number of possibilities to relieve Joey's distress. AND when she left, she had washed the sheets and towels and the house was as clean as when I left. I could not have expected more from anyone. She was absolutely terrific - and I am so grateful.
Stephanie was absolutely amazing with my Australian Shepherd and two cats! She walked my dog several times every day, even took her to dog beach, and she made sure my pets were never alone for more than a few hours. She also sent multiple updates every day with plenty of great pictures. I felt completely at ease while on my vacation. I came home to a clean house and a very happy, healthy fur family. I’m always so grateful to have Sarah look after my sweet old pup when I’m away! And this time Sarah also cared for my friend’s dog who was visiting. Sarah always makes the time to ensure that she’s up to date on any changes and she even came by for an extra meet and greet to meet my friend’s dog before her stay. I love getting all of her updates, and knowing that the pups are loved so fully while I am away makes it easier for me to be present and enjoy my time out of town.

This was the first time we used Jasmine as a dog sitter and the only thing I wish would be different is that we’d found her sooner. We were in a pinch with time, booking close to the last minute, but Jasmine came through amazingly. She was prompt to the meet and greet and asked great questions, listened and was clear in her communication. While we were gone, she gave us updates and let us know if anything happened of note. Our dog had an upset tummy and we were able to work through it and she got him feeling better soon. She also took great care of our house. Hope we get her to watch our pup again!!
Justine is very professional, caring and thorough. She took excellent care of Danso and followed all instructions perfectly. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
