I've owned and cared for cats, dogs, birds (parakeets + cockatiels), freshwater fish, toads, ferrets, and event rats! I'll care for your dog the same way I would my own. Pet care is already part of my everyday life because of my own dog, Taco. He's super active, so walks and park trips are already part of my everyday routine. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs, so dog walking and drop in visits fit naturally into my schedule. I'm available weekday afternoons and anytime on weekends. I always want dogs to feel safe and comfortable around me. On walks, I pay attention to their pace, surroundings, and anything that could stress them out. In a client's home, I follow their routine and make sure their dog feels relaxed and cared for. About: I have about 10 years of house sitting experience. I am comfortable with all types of animal. From dogs and cats to turtles and chickens! I currently work in education on Monday-Friday 7:30-4pm. I am excited to do walks after work and snuggles in the evening. And lots of love and playing of the weekends. “Angelina was an absolutely wonderful house sitter! She took care of our 3 cats and 1 dog for almost 2 weeks. She gave us updates throughout our trip. The pets seemed very well taken care of and they warmed up to Angelina very quickly. Our pets we happy, healthy, clean, and well fed when we got back from our trip. She gave our babies lots of attention, esp our dog who can be very hyperactive. She also went above and beyond for them when she stayed a while longer after her booked time to make sure they kids were taken care of until we got home even though she didn't need to! Angelina was also a wonderful house guest and kept the place cleaned and well maintained. Communication with her was great as we. About: I grew up on a rescue farm, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me, and I’ve truly never met one I didn’t adore. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own! I have experience fostering and dog-sitting pups of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’m also comfortable working with dogs who have medical needs or unique personalities, whether they’re high-energy, shy, reactive, or a little anxious in new settings. I am a dog person to my core and have loved them all! I work from home Monday - Friday, so my situation is ideal for boarding and daycare as well as shorter overnights. I enjoy being outdoors as much as I enjoy a night in, so I can be flexible depending on each dog's needs. I live in a walkable neighborhood where I only need to be away from home for short periods of time to go grocery shopping or to hit the gym. I have always had a dog (though I am currently dog-free, unfortunately), so I am naturally attuned to their schedules and needs. I live in a very dog-friendly complex in a very residential neighborhood. I have lots of experience with controlled walks, crate training, and general dog safety, including emergency care and safe/proper introductions with other dog-friendly dogs. I live alone in a very calm, peaceful environment, and am conscientious of respecting a dog's space and know the importance of maintaining a semi-normal schedule while they're in a new/unfamiliar environment.
