“Carrie, I hope you're not tired of hearing all my rave reviews over the years that you've watched my Jill. I'm certainly not tired of giving them, but I am running out of things to say lol " I don't know what I'd do without you" , pretty much sums things up for this time. Thank you SO much, and belated Happy Birthday for yesterday. Lorraine”

“Michele was great! Our dogs loved her & we felt comfortable leaving both our pups in her hands for the day. She followed directions and provided an update. Both pups went home tired with smiles.”

“Melinda and her family took the best care of our girl. Riley came back happy and full of love. Melinda was a great communicator and made it a very easy and enjoyable experience. We are already looking forward to the next play date!”

“I needed a sitter last minute. And Chong was able to help. She had a fenced back yard which was great and someone was there all day to watch over my Bebe and the other dogs. Which I am appreciative of. Will definitely be scheduling more doggy sits in the future.”

“Michael and Cassandra have been so awesome with our pup! They welcome her in like she’s their own and she always comes back happy, tired, and content! We are so so so grateful 😊”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Shelley! She is truly kind, sweet, and incredibly accommodating. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving our dog, Jack, in her care. Her home is warm and welcoming, and it was clear right away that Jack would be comfortable and well looked after. Shelley treated him with so much love and attention, and we could tell he was in great hands the entire time. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was safe, happy, and cared for like one of her own. We are so grateful and would absolutely trust Shelley again in the future. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been taking care of pets for years, and I love spending time with all animals. I help friends and family when they are gone on vacations or even close neighbors who need their pets taken care of. I honestly have so much love for animals and believe they are the best friends for hoomans. I lost my old man in 2025, and definitely have a soft spot for the older ones, but enjoy the way puppies have so much energy as well. Whenever I had to leave my little guy with someone I just wanted to trust he was being loved and taken care of as I would if it were me, and that is what I strive to do for all animals I sit/walk for. People want to know their pet is safe and having a good time so they can enjoy their time and not need to worry, and that is my goal. I currently am working from home and have to occasionally meet clients outside of my home. My schedule is very adaptive to being able to walk, feed, play, or whatever is needed. I have a fenced yard and my house is very dog friendly and in my opinion they run the home. That being said if there are rules for your dog I will adhere to them as to not break any training they are currently in or have learned.
About: I've worked with dogs and cats since 2008 where I started at the humane society. After working there for four years I worked at at animal hospital for ten years and also owned my own pet sitting business during that time. Being around animals is second nature to me! I am currently a stay at home mom. The only times I am really unavailable is when dropping off my own children at school in between the hours of 730-8am and school pick ups between the hours of 130-230. I have a large fenced in yard. I have a sliding glass door that has a built in doggie door so they animals all have access to enter the home or head outside at their own will. I also have a side yard that is fenced away from my large yard for those animals that need extra time to adjust or would prefer to be on their own instead of with the pack. The side yard has half artificial grass and half concrete that is fully shaded. There is AC in the summer and a heater for the cold winters that your pet can enjoy.
“This was Dave’s first daycare experience. He is my grand dog. Sarah totally exceeded my expectation. Super fun backyard! Fun other dogs to play with! She brushed him so he was so soft when he came home and not is he tired! She is thoughtful and competent and we will be back !!”
“Sara was great; Everything was handled professionally and with care - a plus that she had her own dog to play with mine, which was important to me when booking; She even left mine with a toy to go - needless to say, my pup left happy with Sara’s care.”

About: For over 11 years, I’ve cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities, including French Bulldogs, German Shepherds, Weimaraners, Siberian Huskies, and my current English Labrador. Every dog is unique, and I enjoy understanding what makes each one feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I have experience with basic obedience training, including sit, down, stay, wait, leash walking, puppy training, and kennel/crate training. I believe patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are the best ways to help dogs learn and build confidence. My own dogs are an important part of my family. I feed them a high-quality diet, keep them current on veterinary care and vaccinations, provide daily exercise, and make sure they are well socialized while always putting their safety first. When caring for your dog, I understand they are not my pet, so I always respect your routines, training methods, and instructions. My priorities are safety, regular feeding, exercise, playtime, and making sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! 🐾 As a business owner, I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give dogs the time and attention they deserve throughout the day. I’m available for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, exercise, and companionship. I understand that every dog has a different routine, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and at home. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a secure front and backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. There are shaded areas to keep them comfortable on warm days, as well as plenty of space for supervised play and exercise. I carefully introduce dogs to new environments and always monitor their behavior. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, medications, exercise, and routines. If your dog is crate-trained or has specific needs, I’m happy to accommodate them. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own, while making sure they always feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. * I only accept a limited number of dogs at one time so I can give each one plenty of attention. * I send regular photo and video updates while you’re away. * Fresh water is always available, and dogs are never left outside unsupervised. * I can reinforce basic commands and leash manners during their stay.
“Where to start… WOW is all I can say! Michelle and Evan were fantastic since before even booking, so professional, and caring for our fur baby Kona! My husband and I felt that they treated amazing and even baked her doggie cookies spelling her name out, we as her owners have never done that, she just gets store bought from us lol and we knew that moment we made the BEST decision leaving her in their care! We will definitely be rebooking them in the future and recommend Michelle and Evan!! They send pics and videos during her stay which made us so happy especially our kiddos who missed her so much. Thanks again Michelle and Evan ?”

About: I’m a lifelong dog owner with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to very large dogs. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and will treat your pet with the same love and care I give my own. My schedule is currently very flexible, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive and dependable pet care. I’m available during weekdays and weekends for walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and check-ins based on your pet’s usual routine. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, medication, walks, and household routines. I keep pets supervised, comfortable, and secure, and I take time to learn their personality and needs. I also have experience with both small and very large dogs.

“Thank you so much, Roshanak! You took care of our baby Lucy like she was your own. You kept us informed, sent us videos, were very sweet and thoughtful, and were very flexible with our pick-up time. We will definitely reach out again when we are in town. Lucy loved staying with you. Thank you!”

“Natalie is amazing! My dog, Lulu, absolutely adores her and loves going to her house for daycare. I pay close attention to Lulu’s reactions to environments, and she communicates in her own way when she’s comfortable or not. In the past, I had to stop taking Lulu to a specific daycare because she would shake with fear/anxiety at drop-off, whine, and try to drag me back toward the entrance to leave. When I pull up to Natalie’s home at drop-off, Lulu whines to get out of the car and practically drags me to door to get daycare started. She greets Natalie so enthusiastically and with so much excitement. That’s the only review I really need. Lulu visits for daycare twice a week now. I appreciate that Natalie gives me regular updates throughout the daycare stay and includes several pictures. After each daycare visit, Natalie provides a handwritten note summarizing Lulu’s day. Lastly, she’s simply a very warm and nice person. I’m glad we found her!”

Saki had the best day with Bella and her husband! He came home happy, tired, and honestly seemed a little sad to leave them, which says everything. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was so well cared for. We’d absolutely book with Bella again, and Saki can’t wait to see them both!

Samira is a wonderful dog sitter! She sent pictures throughout the day, took my pup on walks, and has a wonderful pup of her own that my girl loved playing with. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely reach out when we need a sitter again!

Brianna and Charles are wonderful and so caring! They paid attention to our doggie's needs and she also didn't seem anxious being left with them as she normally is. We feel more than comfortable leaving her with Brianna and Charles again during our long upcoming trip!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
