About: My family and I have always loved dogs. Growing up in Japan, we had a Hokkaido dog, a larger and active breed, as well as a Toy Poodle. I have many years of experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I cared closely for our Hokkaido dog when he became ill, and our Toy Poodle is now 13 years old and lives with my family in Japan, so I also have experience caring for senior dogs. Since moving to California, I’ve regularly cared for friends’ dogs and have had several experiences providing overnight care in my home for one to two weeks at a time. About: I have extensive experience with many breeds and special needs dogs. I adopted and raised Paco, a Dutch Shepherd mix dog who passed away at 14 years old in Feb./2025. I nursed and managed him through 2 ACL surgeries since 2020. I also had a Maltese poodle mix, Bella, who has had both eyes removed due to glaucoma. She lived with Paco for six years and passed away at 15 years old in Oct. 2024. I currently live with Zeus, a mixed breed Dutch Shepherd who I adopted in May 2025. You're puppy will be given lots of attention whether be walking and/or playing, will be as happy or content as I can make the experience for them! I'm a stay home mom with my 12 yr old lab mix. Malia was awesome with my dachshund Penny! Penny has a huge personality for such a tiny dog and can be a little dramatic sometimes, but she loved Malia right away which honestly never happens. I could tell Penny was getting lots of attention and love the whole time and Malia kept me updated so I didn’t have to worry at all. When I got back Penny was happy, relaxed, and acting like she had her own little vacation. I would definitely trust Malia to watch Penny again and I know Penny will be excited to see her again!
Carie took really great care of Wee. She has a fenced yard with grass which is really lovely. I like that she has her own little pup and also does doggy day care so Wee can socialize a little more.
