About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life and caring for them is something I genuinely love!! I previously worked at an emergency and specialty hospital for animals where I gained experience caring for dogs with a wide variety of personalities, needs, and temperaments. That experience taught me how important patience, attentiveness, and understanding are when caring for someone’s pet. I’m comfortable around young, energetic, nervous, shy, senior, and high-maintenance dogs. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior or anything that may indicate a pet isn’t feeling like themselves. I understand that every dog has their own routine and personality, and I’m happy to follow their usual schedule and give them the individual attention they’re used to. Most importantly, I treat every dog in my care like they’re my own. I want both pets and their owners to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while they’re apart. I currently work a part time job at a restaurant in downtown Oceanside and my shifts are only up to 5 hours at a time. So I have a pretty flexible schedule that can be easy to work around! When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep them comfortable and maintain the routine they’re already familiar with. I’ll take the time to learn their normal feeding schedule, walk and potty routine, personality, preferences, and any special instructions from their owner. I’ll provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, cuddles, and companionship while making sure they’re safe and comfortable in their own space. I’m also very attentive to changes in behavior or anything that seems unusual, and I’ll keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel reassured while they’re away. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for years - both in my own family along with neighbors and friends. I’m a dog and cat lover, and have experience with both as pets, including puppies and senior dogs. I am available to dog or cat sit, as well as provide walks and check-ins, in the North County San Diego area. I’d love to help take care of your furry family member! My full time job is on a hybrid schedule which allows for some flexibility. Depending on the situation, I may be able to stay with your pet all day (especially over weekends) or check-in on a daily basis. I’ve learned how to gauge signs of stress in dogs and cats, especially when they are meeting strangers. Our first time leaving our doggie - with some anxieties since she’s a husky and has bolted before - Justin was not only kind, friendly n warm, he’s got one of those presences that you just trust. It was our wedding weekend, so there was even more stress happening and he watched her two long days in a row, and Justin was simply awesome. Our dog totally loved him! She woke up the next morning searching the house for him. He is very professional, super punctual, and you can tell he truly loves what he does. About: I have taken care of many different dogs and cats over the years and always go above and beyond to make them and their parents happy. I have worked with small and large dogs, and can care for multiple pets at a time. I love animals so much and watching them is always the best part of my day! I have my own business so I am able to leave and walk a dog whenever I need to! When doing doggy day care or boarding I will often bring the pup with me to the gallery so it can hang out. I am very attentive and any time I am walking a dog I make sure to be very aware of our surroundings. Even when I let them out in a backyard I make sure to keep an eye on them. I always make sure everything is okay before I leave (checking there’s no food out, making sure they have enough water, triple checking there’s door is closed and locked!)
