*Apologies for price increases, Rover has raised their fees* I have grown up with, lived with and taken care of dogs of all shapes, sizes, needs and personalities! My first family dog (and best friend) was a beautiful Doberman Pincher and since then my family has rescued several dogs. In college I worked part-time for a dog groomer and have taken care of friend's and co-workers dogs (and homes) for years. I even started to get teased for never being home and going from a Dachshund one week to a German Shepard the next!

Heidi was awesome watching our senior, special needs dog for the weekend in our home! Our dog is blind, hard of hearing and has kidney issues, so she is on lots of meds and can have lots of accidents and Heidi handled it all perfectly. She was very communicative, trustworthy and overall great. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using her again!

Great Sitter that accommodates the needs of the owner and dog.
Heidi was a literal rockstar when it came to watching our anxious dog, Kona. This was Heidi's first stay with Kona and she was really flexible in coming over for a meet and greet beforehand. The key exchange went very smoothly as both me and my husband could not exchange in person. All was going well for the first two nights, until our neighbor in the adjoining row house had a fire in the early morning hours. Heidi got Kona out safely, thankfully no one was injured, and was in constant communication with me, my husband, our emergency contact, even the fire restoration team that showed up later in the day. As you can imagine, with an anxious dog and a new sitter, we were really worried about the situation. Heidi had to relocate with Kona to her boyfriend's house as there would be no water for the rest of her stay. Given the situation, we had our emergency contacts take Kona for the last night of Heidi's scheduled stay; we were pretty concerned about her 'delicate disposition' (i.e. Kona is a basketcase who does not handle change and new people well). We are so thankful that Heidi was there for Kona - and us - with the constant communication, flexibility, and overall care and concern she showed for our little girl. Several of our neighbors mentioned to us that our dog sitter did an excellent job keeping Kona calm while first responders addressed the situation. I think it's safe to say that Heidi is an exceptionally trustworthy individual who can more than adequately care for your fur babies - no matter the circumstances - when you're out of town. Thank you Heidi!!!

Schedule
I live in Carlsbad Village and work from home, so my weekdays are pretty flexible. I am generally able to be around, but sometimes have meetings or activities and prefer to take care of animals able to be alone for at least 4 hours at a time. The Rover map is pretty restrictive, my general travel range is: Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Clemente, Encinitas & Vista
