Sara was great; Everything was handled professionally and with care - a plus that she had her own dog to play with mine, which was important to me when booking; She even left mine with a toy to go - needless to say, my pup left happy with Sara’s care.

About: Hi everyone! My name is Maida and I have had pets since a young age and have experience with dog training. I absolutely love all animals and will truly cherish any opportunity to take care of your baby. I have two little kids (2- and 4-year-old girl and boy) and one senior dog (13-year-old husky). We would assess how your baby would do with the kiddos and my dog for overnight boarding. For daycare or potty breaks, this should not be an issue as the kids are in school during the day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. most days. I live in Oceanside in the Arrwood community and have a fully fenced-in yard and beautiful sidewalks and trails near me for adventures. My dog (Bandit) gets along with most dogs, gets along great with cats, and the kids love cats and dogs too. If this sounds good to you, I'd love an opportunity to meet your baby and see how I can be helpful to your family. I work from home so basically your baby would be my sidekick. We have a fenced in yard which they would have access to as long as you are okay with that. We can start the day with a walk and then hang out together -- if I go anywhere they can tag along with me or would be safe inside my home. I have a crate if needed, a fully fenced in backyard and because I work from home they would be under my supervision all day. If I have to step out they would either join me, I would crate them, or leave them to roam free in the home depending on what your preference is and what's best for the pet.

About: I've worked with dogs and cats since 2008 where I started at the humane society. After working there for four years I worked at at animal hospital for ten years and also owned my own pet sitting business during that time. Being around animals is second nature to me! I am currently a stay at home mom. The only times I am really unavailable is when dropping off my own children at school in between the hours of 730-8am and school pick ups between the hours of 130-230. I have a large fenced in yard. I have a sliding glass door that has a built in doggie door so they animals all have access to enter the home or head outside at their own will. I also have a side yard that is fenced away from my large yard for those animals that need extra time to adjust or would prefer to be on their own instead of with the pack. The side yard has half artificial grass and half concrete that is fully shaded. There is AC in the summer and a heater for the cold winters that your pet can enjoy.

Natalie is amazing! My dog, Lulu, absolutely adores her and loves going to her house for daycare. I pay close attention to Lulu’s reactions to environments, and she communicates in her own way when she’s comfortable or not. In the past, I had to stop taking Lulu to a specific daycare because she would shake with fear/anxiety at drop-off, whine, and try to drag me back toward the entrance to leave. When I pull up to Natalie’s home at drop-off, Lulu whines to get out of the car and practically drags me to door to get daycare started. She greets Natalie so enthusiastically and with so much excitement. That’s the only review I really need. Lulu visits for daycare twice a week now. I appreciate that Natalie gives me regular updates throughout the daycare stay and includes several pictures. After each daycare visit, Natalie provides a handwritten note summarizing Lulu’s day. Lastly, she’s simply a very warm and nice person. I’m glad we found her!

About: I have experience caring for any kind of dogs and cats. I foster shelter dogs, raised and trained my Labrador Ace from a puppy and owned a senior rescue dog. I know how to care for puppies, teenager and elderly dogs, as well as kittens and cats. I'm particularly good with shy cats and getting them out of their shell, but enjoy an active, playful cat like mine just as much. Our home has a front and back yard, both fenced and a living area plus an attached sunroom. I can separate pets if needed. I have a cat room, only cats can get in, dogs have to stay outside. My cat usually roams the whole house. Can separate if needed. I also have the ability to take active dogs on walks or runs as I am an active person and runner. I am currently staying at home, so I have a very flexible schedule. I am available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, making it easy to accommodate any pets needs . When a new pet arrives at my house, they will always get some time away from any other pets already here to get used to everything and decompress. After that they can meet under supervision and if everything goes well, they'll be together in the whole house. If they don't get along I accommodate and fence out different areas, inside and outside. I have a front and back yard, which can also be separated in two different areas. I also have a large sunroom attached to our living area. One of the bedrooms is a no dog zone for cats.

Mal has had a confusing time because his alpha, my husband, died unexpectedly last week, and he's had to move house on top of it. He is a rescue and already had separation anxiety. But he had a great time with Sandra, playing with other dogs, with plenty of room to run around, and was he was happy and not insecure when I picked him up both days. Thank you Sandra! Thank you for loving animals!

Where to start… WOW is all I can say! Michelle and Evan were fantastic since before even booking, so professional, and caring for our fur baby Kona! My husband and I felt that they treated amazing and even baked her doggie cookies spelling her name out, we as her owners have never done that, she just gets store bought from us lol and we knew that moment we made the BEST decision leaving her in their care! We will definitely be rebooking them in the future and recommend Michelle and Evan!! They send pics and videos during her stay which made us so happy especially our kiddos who missed her so much. Thanks again Michelle and Evan ?

We had such a wonderful experience with Shelley! She is truly kind, sweet, and incredibly accommodating. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving our dog, Jack, in her care. Her home is warm and welcoming, and it was clear right away that Jack would be comfortable and well looked after. Shelley treated him with so much love and attention, and we could tell he was in great hands the entire time. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was safe, happy, and cared for like one of her own. We are so grateful and would absolutely trust Shelley again in the future. Highly recommend!

About: For over 11 years, I’ve cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities, including French Bulldogs, German Shepherds, Weimaraners, Siberian Huskies, and my current English Labrador. Every dog is unique, and I enjoy understanding what makes each one feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I have experience with basic obedience training, including sit, down, stay, wait, leash walking, puppy training, and kennel/crate training. I believe patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are the best ways to help dogs learn and build confidence. My own dogs are an important part of my family. I feed them a high-quality diet, keep them current on veterinary care and vaccinations, provide daily exercise, and make sure they are well socialized while always putting their safety first. When caring for your dog, I understand they are not my pet, so I always respect your routines, training methods, and instructions. My priorities are safety, regular feeding, exercise, playtime, and making sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! 🐾 As a business owner, I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give dogs the time and attention they deserve throughout the day. I’m available for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, exercise, and companionship. I understand that every dog has a different routine, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and at home. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a secure front and backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. There are shaded areas to keep them comfortable on warm days, as well as plenty of space for supervised play and exercise. I carefully introduce dogs to new environments and always monitor their behavior. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, medications, exercise, and routines. If your dog is crate-trained or has specific needs, I’m happy to accommodate them. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own, while making sure they always feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. * I only accept a limited number of dogs at one time so I can give each one plenty of attention. * I send regular photo and video updates while you’re away. * Fresh water is always available, and dogs are never left outside unsupervised. * I can reinforce basic commands and leash manners during their stay.

I cannot recommend Elle enough. I was in town for a wedding and needed a sitter, but had never left my little guy with a sitter before. Elle immediately made me feel so completely comfortable and I was shocked that I ended up not worrying even for a second. Miso (my dog) had a great time, he was so well taken care of, and I was able to enjoy the wedding festivities without any concern. I hadn't even driven away after dropping him off before I had a picture and video sent to me, and then throughout the day and night I got constant updates and pictures/videos. I was completely at ease. If you are in the area and ever need someone amazing to help with your furry family member, please please choose Elle.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bonsall commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,000 sitters in Bonsall, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
