Nazgul and her family were exceptionally warm and attentive with Midnight. From the moment we arrived, I could tell she would settle in quickly and feel at home. Their updates and photos were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear she was genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Nazgul and her family to anyone seeking a safe, loving environment for their pet.

Mal has had a confusing time because his alpha, my husband, died unexpectedly last week, and he's had to move house on top of it. He is a rescue and already had separation anxiety. But he had a great time with Sandra, playing with other dogs, with plenty of room to run around, and was he was happy and not insecure when I picked him up both days. Thank you Sandra! Thank you for loving animals!

They are extremely nice and very caring sitters for my dog, Sasha. Thank you so much for all the photos and the video to keep in touch through the day. Sasha enjoyed her stay!

I don't think I've ever seen my dog so calm and happy before, after being at a doggy daycare! He obviously got all the exercise he needed. And all the play with other dogs. And all the dog company. And all the human company and attention he could want : ) Thank you so so much Becca!

I took my goldendoodle to May for daycare. We met beforehand, which I really appreciated because I would have had a lot of anxiety handing my dog over to someone I didn’t know! May was very responsive and considerate. She asked great questions to get to know my dog and my preferences. Her home was beautiful and clean and I felt safe leaving my pup in her care. I would absolutely book again with her!

Robert graciously accepted my same-day request when I needed to come to that part of town to run errands, but didn't want to leave my dog Shelby in the car all day. He was wonderfully communicative during her visit, sending lots of photo updates and video. Shelby must have had a great stay, because she slept the hour drive home in the car. I would recommend Robert's service to anyone and will definitely be returning! Thanks Robert!

Rachelle, I am beyond grateful and impressed with your dedication to all fur babies! Rocky is laying here in pure bliss, smiling ear to ear. Here’s my experience: I booked with Raechel and she accepted right away and messaged me. I explained Rocky’s quirks and she didn’t hesitate. He is undersocicialized and I was very worried about how it would go. He cried for me as I started to leave, and she comforted him and scooped him up right under her arm. I knew she would take good care of my boy. She sent me pictures in the very beginning, showing him getting along with all the dogs 🥹. She told me he was doing great, which completely eased my anxiety. She sent me pictures of his walk. I couldn’t believe it, he was walking calmly next to 5 other dogs. She’s the dog whisperer because he’s more reactive on leash with me and my Mom. Her communication was so good, and I know she sees the dogs as peoples’ family because she put me at ease. I am beyond happy with her work. I will definitely be booking more, as I know his life will be enriched and fulfilling going there to make doggo friends. I can’t thank you enough 🥹👏🫶🙏🐶☀️💛

About: I am currently home full-time while homeschooling my youngest child who is now in his teens. We ADORE all animals! Our schedule is extremely flexible, which allows us to work with whatever schedule needs you have. I have a huge heart and could not live without animals in my life. I am very active and look forward to the opportunity to walk, play and love on your pets! For the past 40+ years I have owned, fostered and cared for dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, horses and more. I recently lost my Great Dane after a decade of getting to love him. He had DCM since he was a puppy so I have extensive knowledge of caring for that, giant breed needs and know how to track and administer many medications. Being a stay at home mom I've often thought about walking and caring for other animals while they're humans are away at work or vacay! I recently discovered Rover and know this is a perfect fit for me! I am very patient and have experience with all areas of pet care from walking to medication dosing and everything in between! I am currently home full-time while homeschooling my youngest child who is now in his teens. Our schedule is extremely flexible, which allows us to work with whatever schedule needs you have. I have a very large, completely fenced in yard with a locked gate. We are taking a break from pet ownership and would love to open our home to care for your animals. I have experience caring for dogs and other household pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, long or shorter walks, cuddles on the couch, or sticking to their usual routine, I’m happy to accommodate their individual needs. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requirements to ensure your pet feels happy and secure.

About: Hello! My name is Fidencio, (my family calls me John, and you can too). I am 32 years old and have a long history of caring for dogs in my family. In 2005, my Father rescued a puppy from war torn Iraq. He fell in love with Target, our Iraqi dog, while he was deployed there. I remember my dad calling my mom, begging her to please find a way to get Target home, to California, over 7000 miles away. We went to work as a family finding any possible way to get our small puppy back home. Long story short, because we love animals, we got Target shipped to LAX. Target was what we considered an animal refugee. I remember going on the drive to LAX as a 5th grader to go pick up Target, when I first saw him he was scared, being shipped across the globe and being separated from his owner on the journey. But as soon as we got in the car we broke the crate open, we instantly all fell in love. Dedication to protecting a caring for animals is something that runs deep for me. And opening up our home to do that for others is an honor. I’ve attached some photos of Target, our 1st family dog. Looking at these older photos is such a trip! Blast from the past if you will. My Dad is now retired from the USMC and has a service dog jack, who is pictured above. He loves to play with other dogs and is very friendly. Hope you meet you and your pet soon! I am home full time and will always be there for you and your pet! Can be contacted 24/7 and checkup anytime. I’m just a call away. I care for other pets the same I would care for my own. With love, patience, and care. These things come naturally as an animal lover!

A pleasure dealing with Courtney. She is a welcoming host for man and dog. She is thoroughly available with few, if any, blackout dates on her booking calendar. Ample flexibility in drop-off and pickup times. Very reasonable sitting and boarding costs. My dog was well-cared for and came home happy. Happy dog equals happy, very satisfied, customer. I've booked with Courtney twice and I will definitely go back to her.

Sunny always has so much fun at Nadia’s! Sunny gets so excited every time we drop her off. She loves playing with her children and is worn out when we pick her up! I love knowing that she is in good hands. I would recommend her if you are looking for a safe and reliable place for your dog to stay where it gets lots of love!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,997 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Rainbow. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rainbow commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,997 sitters in Rainbow, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
