“Robert was great with Blake and kept me updated with lots of photos, which really helped put me at ease. Blake is a high-energy, big puppy who doesn’t always realize his size, and Robert handled him calmly and kindly. It was clear Blake felt comfortable and cared for, and I really appreciated the communication and attentiveness. I would definitely book with him again.”

“I took my goldendoodle to May for daycare. We met beforehand, which I really appreciated because I would have had a lot of anxiety handing my dog over to someone I didn’t know! May was very responsive and considerate. She asked great questions to get to know my dog and my preferences. Her home was beautiful and clean and I felt safe leaving my pup in her care. I would absolutely book again with her!”

“Amazing was apprehensive leaving a loved one with someone I had never met. Was beyond happy with Rachelle. She sent updates and pics. Wasn’t sure my dog Toby was going to want to come home. He had the time of his life. Thank for treating toby as your own.”

“Sunny always has so much fun at Nadia’s! Sunny gets so excited every time we drop her off. She loves playing with her children and is worn out when we pick her up! I love knowing that she is in good hands. I would recommend her if you are looking for a safe and reliable place for your dog to stay where it gets lots of love!”

“Melissa was great. She was very communicative and so sweet to us and our dog Juneau. She sent photos during the day which was great. Thank you again for taking care of our dog on Thanksgiving.”
“Our dog Belle stayed with Robert for an afternoon while my wife and I were in the area looking at homes. His reviews were what drew us to contact him and it didn’t disappoint. Robert has plenty of space for play and his dog was so nice and calm when introduced to ours. Will book again when in the area!”

“Morgan and Jack took such great care of my dog! My puppy was able to play all day in a safe environment. I was given video and picture updates throughout the day. Thank you for your excellent level of care with my dog!”

“Shannon to the rescue and always takes good care of Sandy!! Would highly recommend Shannon for all your pet sitting needs. She’s caring and responds right away to any questions you may have.”

“Baxter had a great daycare stay with Jeremy, and I very much recommend him to other dog owners. From the meet & greet to the fun departure gift, Jeremy was very thoughtful, kind, communicative and attentive to detail. He kept me updated on Baxter's day with pics and videos. Thank you for a terrific experience, and Baxter will definitely be back!”

“Nazgul and her family were exceptionally warm and attentive with Midnight. From the moment we arrived, I could tell she would settle in quickly and feel at home. Their updates and photos were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear she was genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Nazgul and her family to anyone seeking a safe, loving environment for their pet.”

“This was our first time with Savannah and my big dog had a wonderful time and was so tired when he got home! My dog loved playing with her other dogs. Even with all the dogs on Thanksgiving Savannah was calm and very sweet. We will definitely be back!!”

“A pleasure dealing with Courtney. She is a welcoming host for man and dog. She is thoroughly available with few, if any, blackout dates on her booking calendar. Ample flexibility in drop-off and pickup times. Very reasonable sitting and boarding costs. My dog was well-cared for and came home happy. Happy dog equals happy, very satisfied, customer. I've booked with Courtney twice and I will definitely go back to her.”

“Today was our first day with Tina, and we will be back! Tina took care of my 10 year old miniature, paralyzed dachshund. She uses a wheelchair, wears a diaper and requires constant supervision. It is tough to find a person willing to care for an animal with such high needs; it's even more difficult to find someone who does so with such love and gentleness. When my husband and I met Tina and her family for the first time, we were instantly drawn in by each of their genuine and kind characters. Tina was immediately interested in caring for Tootsie, which came as a complete shock and welcome surprise to us. Tina sent me numerous photos today; I felt like I was with Tootsie all day, even though we were apart for 12 hours. It appears as though Tina catered to Tootsie the entire day, tending to her every need, just like the princess that she is :) This family is warm and their home is inviting, clean and dog-friendly. I have zero qualms about using Tina in the future. Tootsie sleeps A LOT, and it isn't so much about having someone keep her entertained for every minute of every hour; it's more so about having a person that I feel completely comfortable with and that can "look out" for her throughout the day. This is not easy to find. Thank you, Tina, for the love and warmth you have shown us.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Temecula commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
