âWeâve been bringing Marley to May for two weeks now, and we couldnât be happier! As pawrents, itâs never easy trusting someone else with your fur baby, but May has been exceptional. Itâs clear that Marley is well taken care of, and that means everything to us. Knowing Marley is in good hands while weâre at work gives us so much peace of mind. She truly cares for Marley the same way we do, and thatâs rare to find. Thank you, May. Weâre grateful.â

âRachelle has such a great set up for the pups. Double fence/gated, ample room, in door outdoor set up equally amazing, and she is very loving with the pups. I have a Cane Corso and a Husky so big and high energy and she was able to effortlessly meet both their needs. I highly recommend her and felt very safe with my pups there. She sent tons of pics as well. She asked all the right questions about feeding and restrictions. Give her a try especially if you have a big dog or a breed that has a harder time getting care.â

âShannon to the rescue and always takes good care of Sandy!! Would highly recommend Shannon for all your pet sitting needs. Sheâs caring and responds right away to any questions you may have.â

âI was pleasantly surprised with how quickly my dogs warmed up to Robert. They both tend to be wary around new people, but they were both immediately at ease and by the end of the visit were even giving Robert kisses. Also appreciated how communicative Robert was leading up to and during their stay!â

âMelissa was a life saver in a pinch and was able to sit Roscoe on short notice. She was professional and a clear communicator. She has experience and clear practices for keeping dogs safe and cared for in her home.â

About: I am currently home full-time while homeschooling my youngest child who is now in his teens. We ADORE all animals! Our schedule is extremely flexible, which allows us to work with whatever schedule needs you have. I have a huge heart and could not live without animals in my life. I am very active and look forward to the opportunity to walk, play and love on your pets! For the past 40+ years I have owned, fostered and cared for dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, horses and more. I recently lost my Great Dane after a decade of getting to love him. He had DCM since he was a puppy so I have extensive knowledge of caring for that, giant breed needs and know how to track and administer many medications. Being a stay at home mom I've often thought about walking and caring for other animals while they're humans are away at work or vacay! I recently discovered Rover and know this is a perfect fit for me! I am very patient and have experience with all areas of pet care from walking to medication dosing and everything in between! I am currently home full-time while homeschooling my youngest child who is now in his teens. Our schedule is extremely flexible, which allows us to work with whatever schedule needs you have. I have a very large, completely fenced in yard with a locked gate. We are taking a break from pet ownership and would love to open our home to care for your animals. I have experience caring for dogs and other household pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, long or shorter walks, cuddles on the couch, or sticking to their usual routine, Iâm happy to accommodate their individual needs. Iâm attentive to feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requirements to ensure your pet feels happy and secure.
âMorgan and Jack came through in a pinch with just a few minutes notice. I am beyond happy with their service. Lex loves going and Lex hardly barks, but when he sees this family he is so excited he can't stop barking/talking and wagging his tail. I love that I found this family. Lex loves this family.â

About: Hello! My name is Fidencio, (my family calls me John, and you can too). I am 32 years old and have a long history of caring for dogs in my family. In 2005, my Father rescued a puppy from war torn Iraq. He fell in love with Target, our Iraqi dog, while he was deployed there. I remember my dad calling my mom, begging her to please find a way to get Target home, to California, over 7000 miles away. We went to work as a family finding any possible way to get our small puppy back home. Long story short, because we love animals, we got Target shipped to LAX. Target was what we considered an animal refugee. I remember going on the drive to LAX as a 5th grader to go pick up Target, when I first saw him he was scared, being shipped across the globe and being separated from his owner on the journey. But as soon as we got in the car we broke the crate open, we instantly all fell in love. Dedication to protecting a caring for animals is something that runs deep for me. And opening up our home to do that for others is an honor. Iâve attached some photos of Target, our 1st family dog. Looking at these older photos is such a trip! Blast from the past if you will. My Dad is now retired from the USMC and has a service dog jack, who is pictured above. He loves to play with other dogs and is very friendly. Hope you meet you and your pet soon! I am home full time and will always be there for you and your pet! Can be contacted 24/7 and checkup anytime. Iâm just a call away. I care for other pets the same I would care for my own. With love, patience, and care. These things come naturally as an animal lover!
âWe are in love with this family! The love shown the minute we stepped foot in their beautiful home. Of course Coco took it upon herself to check everything out including the backyard. Thank you for the peace of mind knowing Coco was in a safe and peaceful play made all the difference in the world. See you soon!â

âNazgul and her family were exceptionally warm and attentive with Midnight. From the moment we arrived, I could tell she would settle in quickly and feel at home. Their updates and photos were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear she was genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Nazgul and her family to anyone seeking a safe, loving environment for their pet.â

âSunny always has so much fun at Nadiaâs! Sunny gets so excited every time we drop her off. She loves playing with her children and is worn out when we pick her up! I love knowing that she is in good hands. I would recommend her if you are looking for a safe and reliable place for your dog to stay where it gets lots of love!â

âAlisha and Michael made my very nervous dog feel right at home for day care! I was afraid to leave him while I was in town for a local event, so I really appreciated their attentiveness to him and communication. Canât recommend them enough!â

âThis was Osoâs first stay with Nicole and Sunshine. It was great! Nicole eased our nerves and was very helpful with introducing the dogs. Looking forward to more doggie play dates now.â

About: I have had pets my entire life and I adore them! Mostly dogs, but including cats, fish and birds! Currently, I have 2 sweet dogs (one male, one female) and an indoor cat! I train my dogs (obedience and tricks) although I have never had formal training. I bathe and groom my dogs (and my cat) regularly. I do baths, cuts, trims, nails and basic ear cleaning. I have no formal training, just self taught and years of experience. I am happy to have your pets come to my home and play in my clean, safe, and fenced yard area that is totally safe and dog ready ! You're pet will receive cuddles, petting, talking to! Yes, I talk to dogs! I give lots of outside potty breaks and play time! Your dogs will be in great care and have fun! My husband and I are retired and home most days of the year!We have 2 dogs and an indoor cat who mostly lives in a bedroom! Since we are usually home, we can usually do pet sitting at short notice! Recently, we hosted a pet with a 3 hour notice! We have a very large, fenced backyard that is secure for even the smallest dogs! Dogs will play there and also inside our home where most cuddles take place! We do allow dogs on the furniture, and we do have dog beds for them to relax on. Small dogs are definitely held and loved on my lap! We take our dogs out every hour or so for potty and water breaks unless they are napping or we see that they need to go out! I have cared for a blind dog before and am capable of caring for your vision impaired angel. I have experience in caring for senior dogs as well. Both of our dogs are spayed/neutered.
âWe had such a great experience with Bianca! She was incredibly attentive to all of our questions and concerns, especially since it was our first time leaving Bolo. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Bolo was happy and comfortable with her right away, and it was clear he was very well taken care of. Weâll definitely be booking with her againâhighly recommend!â

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Temecula commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
