âRachelle has such a great set up for the pups. Double fence/gated, ample room, in door outdoor set up equally amazing, and she is very loving with the pups. I have a Cane Corso and a Husky so big and high energy and she was able to effortlessly meet both their needs. I highly recommend her and felt very safe with my pups there. She sent tons of pics as well. She asked all the right questions about feeding and restrictions. Give her a try especially if you have a big dog or a breed that has a harder time getting care.â

âWeâve been bringing Marley to May for two weeks now, and we couldnât be happier! As pawrents, itâs never easy trusting someone else with your fur baby, but May has been exceptional. Itâs clear that Marley is well taken care of, and that means everything to us. Knowing Marley is in good hands while weâre at work gives us so much peace of mind. She truly cares for Marley the same way we do, and thatâs rare to find. Thank you, May. Weâre grateful.â

âMorgan and Jack came through in a pinch with just a few minutes notice. I am beyond happy with their service. Lex loves going and Lex hardly barks, but when he sees this family he is so excited he can't stop barking/talking and wagging his tail. I love that I found this family. Lex loves this family.â

âSunny always has so much fun at Nadiaâs! Sunny gets so excited every time we drop her off. She loves playing with her children and is worn out when we pick her up! I love knowing that she is in good hands. I would recommend her if you are looking for a safe and reliable place for your dog to stay where it gets lots of love!â

âSarah and Savannah are sweethearts who clearly care about providing top notch care and absolute safety for animals. They did a fabulous job at introducing Coco to the house and other animals, walking him, and snuggling with him until we returned. Sarah also sent a ton of updates through out the day, which gave us so much peace of mind. We will definitely contact them again to watch our sweet boy! Thank you so much Sarah and Savannah! â¤ď¸â

âMs. Anne is the best sitter I have ever encountered. She took very good care of my Taco, She sends me update alone with pictures. He loved it there. Very clean and the atmosphere was very welcoming and she is great with her pets.â

âWe are in love with this family! The love shown the minute we stepped foot in their beautiful home. Of course Coco took it upon herself to check everything out including the backyard. Thank you for the peace of mind knowing Coco was in a safe and peaceful play made all the difference in the world. See you soon!â

About: I have worked with animals for 4 years now. And had in home services prior to. I have done daycare, boarding, Fostering, adoptive services and dog training. I have always had a big heart for all fur babies and would love to provide more services and flexibility to those who need them I have open availability to provide any and all services. Do morning walks every day that doggies are boarding with me, and afternoon walks for dogs that are just for a one day. I have one 8 month old puppy , who is socialized and friendly with all dogs and cats. If needed, I can separate other animals from her. I have a big park next to my house that i typically go to with my dog and would love to take other babies there on walks. I have a pool dogs are allowed in, a fenced in patio and a clean environment. I also have an extra kennel if needed . Cats will always be separated from dogs, unless requested otherwise by owner. All fur babies are allowed on furniture and to sleep on couches and beds . And will always get treats if approved by owners.
About: I love to take the dogs for a walk to a nearby wonderful large park.Lots of socializing, playing, water and food. We have large crates if necessary. Iâm a stay at home mother. My youngest daughter just graduated high school and will be leaving in July for college, Air Force Academy! My husband works from home, but he travels a lot. I love to devote my time to the animals! I slowly will get them acclimated. First in the kennel or on leash. I put my two dogs out back while our new friend checks out the house and notices the cats. Then I will introduce your dog, if itâs a dog, to Millie and Eddie. If I care for the pets in the clientâs home, that is fine. I have plenty of time.
About: What truly sets us apart is that our home is an active, loving environment where your dog becomes a temporary member of our family. Because we are a full household with both parents and kids present, your pet will receive constant supervision, socialization, and "round-the-clock" affection. Because we are a full household with parents and kids always present, pet care isnât just a task to check offâitâs part of our daily routine. Your dog is never an "afterthought"; they are a guest companion in everything we do. Morning: Wake Up & Move We start the day early with a potty break and breakfast. Since we are home in the mornings, this is usually our prime time for a neighborhood walk or some backyard play to get moving and motivated. Mid-Day: While we go about our daily activities, your dog has the freedom to roam the backyard or nap at our feet. There is no "mid-day lull" here because someone is always around to offer a head scratch, fresh bowl of water, or even a quick game of fetch in the yard. Afternoon: When the kids are done with school, the house is full of life! This is great for social dogs who love interaction. We make sure there is a balance of structured play and quiet downtime, ensuring your pet feels included, but never overwhelmed. Evening: Evenings are for relaxing. After dinner and a final walk, we settle in the living room for some reading and bedtime routine. We end the night with a final potty break to ensure a restful sleep for everyone. We treat your dog exactly how weâd want our own to be treated. Our home is set up to be a "yes" spaceâwhere dogs can feel relaxed, secure, and part of the action. Supervision & Safety: With a full house of parents and kids, your dog is under constant eyes-on supervision. We use baby gates or designated zones if a dog needs a "quiet break" or during meal times to ensure a peaceful eating environment. Sleeping Arrangements: We are flexible! Whether your pup prefers a crate, their own dog bed, or snuggling on a rug near us, we make sure they have a cozy, dedicated spot to dream. Outdoor Fun: We have a [mention if it's fenced] yard where we play multiple times a day. We always accompany the dogs outside to ensure they are safe and having fun. Kid-Dog Harmony: Our children are taught how to interact gently and respectfully with animals. We prioritize "low-stress" interactions, ensuring the dog always has the choice to engage in play or retreat to a quiet corner for a nap. Customized Care: We strictly follow your specific instructions for feeding schedules, medication, and any "no-go" behaviors (like jumping or being on furniture) to keep their training consistent.

ââââââ Absolutely incredible first Rover experience! We honestly could not have asked for a better first experience using Rover! We were a little nervous leaving Dodge with a sitter for the first time, especially because he is still a giant puppy with a LOT of personality and, occasionally, some questionable decisions. But Stephanie completely put all of our worries at ease. From the moment we dropped him off, she was incredibly patient, understanding, and attentive with him. She kept us updated throughout the entire day and sent us SO many adorable pictures, which made being two hours away completely stress-free. Every single update and photo made it so obvious that Dodge was having the absolute time of his life. He got to play with Stephanieâs dog and the other dogs she was watching, and he looked so incredibly happy and comfortable the entire time. She even handled his mischievous puppy moments like a champ â including him apparently deciding that stealing her shorts was a fantastic idea. The fact that she could laugh about his antics while still giving him such a fun, safe, and loving day means so much to us. When we came to pick him up, Dodge actually kept trying to go back into her yard! That alone told us everything we needed to know. He clearly had an amazing time and absolutely loved being there. As first-time Rover users, we were nervous about leaving our boy with someone we didnât know, but Stephanie made the entire experience so easy and reassuring. We came home with a very happy, very tired puppy and so much peace of mind knowing he had been loved and cared for while we were away. We will absolutely be using Stephanie again and honestly couldnât recommend her enough. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our goofy boy, Stephanie! Five stars from us and from Dodgeâ¤ď¸đžâ

âI was pleasantly surprised with how quickly my dogs warmed up to Robert. They both tend to be wary around new people, but they were both immediately at ease and by the end of the visit were even giving Robert kisses. Also appreciated how communicative Robert was leading up to and during their stay!â

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
