About: I've been caring for pets professionally for the last 10 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, rodents of all kinds, and even invertebrates! I have professional training experience, so my personal specialty is caring for dogs who need an experienced handler. Puppies who are still potty training, shy & anxious dogs, overexcited greeters, separation anxiety, and even walking large dogs who pull, lunge, and bark are all a normal part of my everyday job. I also have hands-on experience administering medications and caring for senior pets or younger pets with special needs. I have a small stroller available for use on walks that is sanitized between pets. This can be a great option for puppies who haven't finished all their shots yet, older dogs who can't walk as well anymore, or even cats who just want to get out and smell the neighborhood! I'm working part-time, so my availability will be scheduled around my regular job. I'm more open on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays and usually have extra availability around holidays. I may be able to take bookings on short notice depending on the time - feel free to request me and I'll accommodate you if I can! Safety is always my number one priority. Properly securing entrances and exits, making sure leashes and other equipment are well-fitted and functioning correctly, and following any medical or behavioral notes are an important part of my job. My previous jobs have given me hands-on experience with spotting and handling emergency medical issues, so I am always prepared just in case. I know you want to make sure your pet is safe, happy and comfortable while you are away, so I also pay special attention to your pet's emotional health and do everything I can to minimize stress and anxiety. As a trainer, I understand the importance of maintaining the rules and boundaries you've worked so hard to set with your dogs, so I'm committed to following your current training plan while they are with me.
“Gracie was wonderful with our puppy and did an amazing job with drop-in care. She was always reliable, kept us updated, and clearly cared a lot about our pup. We felt at ease knowing he was in such good hands.”

“Pricilla took amazing care of our grumpy senior dog! He is very selective about who he likes and he started to greet her with a wagging tail each time :) Priscilla went above and beyond to take care of both our house and pet and gave very detailed updates. Highly recommend her services!!”

“This is the second time using Laura and she was just as wonderful as the first. She made drop in visits this booking and we were just as pleased as when she stayed overnight. We love that our very shy and cautious guy has already taken to trusting Laura, that is enough for us to know she is amazing. Laura sent us pictures on every and always responded very quickly to our texts. We love Laura, but more importantly our kitties love Laura.”

About: Since I was born, I’ve owned dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, and even taught them to speak to me! I come from a long line of animal lovers. I currently work remotely from home. My 22 year-old daughter lives with me at home 24/7 and is an animal whisperer. The dogs will always have walks and there is a park nearby. I have a fenced yard with chickens in a coop. I have three indoor loving cats, that think they are dogs and play fetch, who loved their bellies rubbed. I have a crate if your dog needs special care. I also have no problem, keeping the cats in a closed room away from any dogs with any special concerns.
“It has been such a relief having Alex nearby to check in on our pup! She comes by to let her out while we’re at work, plays with her and gives her lots of love. She is also very communicative and consistently sends photos with her check-ins. Thank you, Alex!”

“If I could give Lucinda 100 stars I would! She is competent, caring, kind and best of all, my furgirl ADORED her! Although this was a short booking (only 2 visits) I was very impressed with Amy. She has a very warm and caring personality and our Buster took to her immediately! She left thorough reports for each visit. I could tell that she enjoyed taking care of and spending time with Buster. We will definitely be booking Amy for future trips!

I seriously cannot recommend Allison enough! She watched my two cats while we were away, and as a cat mom with very skittish cats, I was honestly nervous leaving them. My girl cat also needed medicine during the stay, and Allison handled everything so perfectly and carefully. What meant the most to me was that BOTH of my cats actually came up to her both days she watched them! which literally never happens with new people. It was such a huge relief and says everything about how calm, patient, and kind she is with animals. She was also incredibly flexible, communicative, easy to work with, and genuinely caring the entire time. I felt so reassured knowing my cats were comfortable with her and being so well taken care of. I would absolutely trust Allison to watch them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, sweet, and amazing with pets🤍

Lauren did a fantastic job of taking care of my two cats for 8 days. They both are shy and do not come out for strangers. She came twice a day to check on them made sure they had fresh food and water. Cleaned the litter box and updated me on any odd behavior. I will definitely hire her again on my next time away from home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Murrieta. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
