“Andrea did a GREAT job watching the boys ( tortoises) and the girls ( chickens). Very good at communicating and taking care of our pets while we were gone. Will be using Andrea in the future for all of our trips! Thank you Andrea”

“Sara is absolutely wonderful with our new 4 month old puppy! She is great at responding back to messages, sends update pictures, and is just super sweet with our new family member. We will be continuing to use our services as she checks in on our puppy mon-fri 😊!!”

About: What sets me apart from other care givers is the level of care and attention I give every pet. I know that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I cared for my own female hound mix from the time she was just six weeks old until she passed at 16 years old. That experience taught me how to care for a dog through every stage of life - from energetic puppy years to the special patience and gentle attention senior dogs need. I'm comfortable following feeding schedules, administering care as needed, going on walks that match a dog's energy level, and making sure pets get plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. I'm dependable, communicative, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and responsible hands. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy, and I've built my schedule to be as flexible as possible. I have availability throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, and I'm happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits whenever I can. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I'll do my best to work around your schedule. I also keep my calendar updated so you can book with confidence, and I'll communicate promptly if you have any questions or special requests. My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care that fits seamlessly into both your routine and your pet's. I currently provide pet care in my clients' homes, where I focus on keeping your pet comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any other special care your pet requires. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe while you're away, so I take the time to learn their habits, preferences, and personality. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, play sessions, or simply relaxing with company, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. I'll also treat your home with the same respect I would my own, keep everything clean and secure, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

“Kay is a 20 out of 10. I’ve had many pets in my adult life and hired lots of pet sitters. Kay is the best. She’s extremely thorough and careful and thinks of things to help out that I haven’t thought of. I knew she was amazing immediately just based on the questions she asked me. We were gone for 17 days and my house was immaculate when I got back and kitty was obviously very nurtured and cared for. We love you, Kay!”

“Krista was absolutely wonderful with my pups! She was so sweet and loving with them. She came to our house to get to know her and the pups before our event, which was very reassuring. Our dogs instantly loved her. She sent a lot of pictures to keep us updated and just made me feel so much better about leaving my dogs with someone. If you need a babysitter, she is the best.”

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, and currently have two dogs of my own. I will watch your pets with the same care I would expect if someone was caring for my dogs. While my formal pet sitting experience is more limited, I've watched my friend's and family's pets on and off throughout the years, including puppies and elderly dogs. My experience includes: Bathing, brushing, play time, feeding, walks, crating, oral medication, younger animals, older animals, house sitting I have open availability for walks, check-ins, and overnights at this time. I will communicate any potential scheduling issues with you at the time of booking. I'm happy to care for your pets in their home turf. I will treat your pets and your home with respect, care, and aim to leave things as clean as I found them. If your pets require specific medications or schedules, please inform me right away so we can work out the details. I do not board in my home at this time.

“Once again, Monica saved the day! I had a last minute request, and she was so helpful and accommodating. She gives me such peace of mind, and she checks in with me in real-time with photos of my very happy Tango! Having a dog with diabetes makes is very difficult to leave town last minute, and I’m so thankful for Monica and Rover!”
“Natasha checked up on my girl while I was out of town and everyone else was at work. My girl is still pretty young and adopted not long ago, so I like for her to have an opportunity to get some love and attention half way through the day alone. Natasha helped her do just that. She was excellent with communication and gave me lot of photos, which a mom loves when out of town. ☺️”

About: I've been working with animals for 5 years, and as of right now I am now currently working at a general practice animal hospital. I currently work full time, four days a week with 10 hours shifts, and I receive my work schedule a month in advance. I’m generally available on my days off, after work and on Sundays. I’m also able to bring pets to my work (if need be). I understand that every pet and family has different needs, so I’m always willing to do my best to accommodate special scheduling requests whenever possible. Even if a date or time doesn’t appear available on my calendar, please feel free to reach out and ask! I may be able to adjust my schedule or make arrangements that work for you and your pet. My goal is to provide dependable, and attentive care while making things as convenient as possible for both you and your pet. I treat every pet in my care as if they were part of my own family. I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. I enjoy spending quality time with them, whether that means relaxing at home, playing outside, going for walks, or visiting the park for some exercise. I also work as a veterinary assistant, which has given me hands on experience caring for pets with a variety of medical and special care needs. I’m comfortable administering medications as directed, including oral and injectable medications, as well as providing subcutaneous fluids and other routine supportive care when appropriate. I always follow each pet parent’s instructions and routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise and any special care needs. Most importantly, I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and supervision while in my care.
“Ramey stepped in last minute when my regular sitter had an emergency. She did great, cleaned up after the cats and played with them for a bit. I would definitely recommend her!”
“Justine had taken great care of our cat and dog multiple times while we were gone for an international trip. She is very reliable and communicative. Our cat is such an “Introvert” but he looked very happy with Justine and well taken care of after the trip.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Dutch Village
I chose Skylar to drop in for my older kitty while away for a week. Upon my request, Skylar responded quickly and recommended a meet and greet before my trip. We met the next day and while listening to my instructions carefully, she took the time to get to know Tinker (kitty) and me better. She also got to know my dog! I received daily report cards and pictures after each visit and she even gave my very shy kitty a new bed. I 100% recommend Skylar for your sitting needs. I found her to be responsible, sweet and very caring of my animals. Thank you so much Skylar! You put my mind at ease. Heather
Lisa is a true professional. She arrived on schedule each day and sent us numerous pictures and videos to keep us updated on the cats’ well-being. We can tell how well our cats are cared for by how quickly they rebound from our absence. When we returned our kitties came out to greet us right away as if we had never left. Not worrying about our fur babies allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
