“Can’t say enough praise for Andrea, she went beyond the call for my 2 cats. She obviously really loves and cares for all types of pets. I highly recommend her for any of your pet needs. Made my 9 day visit away peaceful and more enjoyable knowing she was looking in on them and providing for them. Thanks you Andrea!😊”

“This was Rachel’s first week dropping in and taking care of my 3 1/2 month old puppy and she takes great care of her and my puppy always looks very happy and calm during her visits. Rachel is also very knowledgeable about dogs which allows her to better understand their needs without any prompting”

“Leslie is such a wonderful person and truly cares for the pets she cares for on a daily basis. She is thorough, consistent, and provides excellent written feedback. She is goes above and beyond on each visit. She takes lots of pics to share and this brings such piece of mind while we were away from our fur babies. She is going to be my go to sitter from now on!”

“Natasha is incredible! She performed every task I asked for both of my kitties with extra care and took amazing photos of them while doing it. She was very reliable and conscientious and I will absolutely be another of her repeat customers from now on. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Ashleigh was so great with our 3 giant “puppies.” I loved having the daily reports and feedback. She caught the cutest photos of them too :) Highly recommend her services! Our doggos loved her. We will definitely request for her again.”

About: I have lived with and cared for dogs most of my life, all of different breeds, but I am now a sole dog parent to two amazing, working breed (retired) senior dogs. I have learned so much over the years about responsible and safe care for dogs across the spectrum of ages, breeds and size. I am a business owner and a full-time pet parent, I generally have most availability throughout the week and work on the weekends. My fur children take their regular walks in the early evening, so I'm generally most available during the day and during the weekdays. I care for pets based on the preferences expressed by the client. All foundational care with a pet will always be with care, safety and treats.

About: Of all animals I have the most experience with dogs. I love dogs all shapes and sizes We've always had a dog at home and I have lots of experience, caring for playing with and walking dogs, including bath time. I'm a recent graduate of heritage high school. I took agriculture at school and worked with the animals on our school farm I'm looking to do rover as often as possible. I don't have any other obligations at this time. So I can dedicate myself to your pets. I am very careful about fences and doors. I'm mindful of owner instructions regarding where their pets can be. And where they are not allowed. I am mindful of them while they are eaten. And while they are playing, to make sure that they remain safe. I checked the pavement before I take a dog out on walks to make sure it's not too hot and always make sure to wash their bowls so that I can help prevent bacteria
“This was my very first experience using Rover, and the process couldn’t have been easier thanks to Anthony. He walked me through every step of setting up the drop-in appointments and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. During our family trip, I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in such good hands. Anthony’s care, attention to detail, and genuine passion for animals really stood out. I’ll absolutely feel confident reaching out to him again for future dog-sitting needs. Thank you so much, Anthony, for taking such amazing care of Echo and Mochi, your dedication truly shows!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of my dogs and making them feel comfortable. One of them can be very anxious, and I truly appreciate the patience and kindness you show them. It gives me peace of mind knowing they are in such good hands when you stop by.”

About: I've taken care of pets since I was 10. I have had small and large dogs, and have taken care of cats. I enjoy going on walks with dogs I am currently a part time student and pretty much have an open schedule. I am never really free around the holidays like christmas and thanksgiving. I have a fenced yard and a 7 year old husky that would love to keep you fur baby company while at my home and we allow our husky on the furniture and bed.
“Our pup is very particular about who he likes and interacts with. After just meeting Laura once they were close buds. Usually when we are out of town he doesnt eat well bc he is nervous. But with Laura caring for him, he ate every meal! We will definitely be using her again..and again!!!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our fur baby receives! She does an absolutely amazing job every single time, always on time, incredibly flexible, and truly professional. What we appreciate most are the frequent updates and photos, which keep us completely at ease and always in the loop. Her communication is outstanding, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the fur babies she watches. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your fur babies like her own, she’s the one to go to. Highly recommend!!! ☺️”

“Kimberly is kind and generous with her time! She made the Rover experience comfortable. I was excited that our fur baby would have someone genuinely interested in her wellbeing and clear on the expectations. I will definitely reach out again!”

“Shelby was very punctual with her visits of my two cats, a very friendly, communicative person and went beyond what I expected. Past ROVERS were disappointing so Shelby was nice relief and very trustworthy. Thanks Shelby.”

“Audra was absolutely fantastic watching my sweet Adelaide! Super nice in the meet and greet, and Adelaide took to her immediately. She gave my cat so much love and took great care of her. Every day, Audra sent a very detailed report of what happened, and she included a ton of pictures. I didn't worry about Adelaide at all, because she was in Audra's capable hands.”

“Savannah was wonderful! This was our first time using Rover and she made it very easy for us. She was very prompt, and we loved getting the pics at the end of our little dogs. She even took the time to message me later on when I checked in to see how they did. We would definitely use Savannah again.”

Marissa has been outstanding. This was a last minute arrangement and we could not have been happier with the wonderful care our aloof ragdoll cat has recieved from Marissa. We will definitely be requesting her caring and thorough help in the future and we highly recommend her. Thank you Marissa.

I chose Skylar to drop in for my older kitty while away for a week. Upon my request, Skylar responded quickly and recommended a meet and greet before my trip. We met the next day and while listening to my instructions carefully, she took the time to get to know Tinker (kitty) and me better. She also got to know my dog! I received daily report cards and pictures after each visit and she even gave my very shy kitty a new bed. I 100% recommend Skylar for your sitting needs. I found her to be responsible, sweet and very caring of my animals. Thank you so much Skylar! You put my mind at ease. Heather
Lisa is a true professional. She arrived on schedule each day and sent us numerous pictures and videos to keep us updated on the cats’ well-being. We can tell how well our cats are cared for by how quickly they rebound from our absence. When we returned our kitties came out to greet us right away as if we had never left. Not worrying about our fur babies allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
