“Can’t say enough praise for Andrea, she went beyond the call for my 2 cats. She obviously really loves and cares for all types of pets. I highly recommend her for any of your pet needs. Made my 9 day visit away peaceful and more enjoyable knowing she was looking in on them and providing for them. Thanks you Andrea!😊”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I have two dogs currently, a pitbull and a pug. I have experience pet sitting Dobermans as well. Additionally, I worked at a pet store for about a year so I have knowledge of pet diets, hygiene, and basic care. Currently I am working part time on weekends so I have plenty of time in my schedule to take care of fluffy friends. Other than work I have an online summer college course so my schedule is pretty flexible. I fully understand that every dog and pet is different and has different needs and schedules. I believe every pet should be treated with love and patience. Whether is playtime, feeding, walking, or just keeping some friendly company, I will give attentive care while also treating your home with respect.

“Once again, Monica saved the day! I had a last minute request, and she was so helpful and accommodating. She gives me such peace of mind, and she checks in with me in real-time with photos of my very happy Tango! Having a dog with diabetes makes is very difficult to leave town last minute, and I’m so thankful for Monica and Rover!”
“I chose Skylar to drop in for my older kitty while away for a week. Upon my request, Skylar responded quickly and recommended a meet and greet before my trip. We met the next day and while listening to my instructions carefully, she took the time to get to know Tinker (kitty) and me better. She also got to know my dog! I received daily report cards and pictures after each visit and she even gave my very shy kitty a new bed. I 100% recommend Skylar for your sitting needs. I found her to be responsible, sweet and very caring of my animals. Thank you so much Skylar! You put my mind at ease. Heather”
“Kristen was amazing and kept all communication with us during our vacation through Rover app! we have not had anyone watch our fur babies in a very long time so we were very scared to take a mini-vacay as we were in fear they would not get the love we give by someone else! She superseded our expectations. She will be our "go to fur baby sitter" for all our future travels! Thank- you for the trust and reassurance you provided our family! we highly recommend her to anyone in need of a fur baby sitter!”

“Tiffany was great with my two dogs! She was very communicative and very punctual. I appreciate the pictures she sent of my dogs. I will definitely be using her services again!”

“This was my very first experience using Rover, and the process couldn’t have been easier thanks to Anthony. He walked me through every step of setting up the drop-in appointments and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. During our family trip, I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in such good hands. Anthony’s care, attention to detail, and genuine passion for animals really stood out. I’ll absolutely feel confident reaching out to him again for future dog-sitting needs. Thank you so much, Anthony, for taking such amazing care of Echo and Mochi, your dedication truly shows!”

About: I have loved and cared for dogs since I was 12 years old. Now that I am retired, I spend my time staying active and walking daily—meaning your dog will get plenty of exercise and outdoor time! I currently own an 8-year-old German Shepherd rescue whom I raised from a puppy. When she developed reactivity, I dedicated myself to training her. Because of this, I am highly skilled at spotting "triggers" early and keeping walks safe, calm, and structured. While I am new to Rover, I have a lifetime of hands-on experience. I promise to treat your fur baby with the utmost respect, love, and attentive care! Since I have retired, I stay busy walking and playing with my dog, gardening and spending time with my grandsons. Most days are pretty flexible, so scheduling time for your pet won't be a problem. I require us to do a meet and great in your home. We both want to make sure I am the right fit for the needs of your pet. Also it's a great way to know what your expectations are when I come to take care of your pet.

I’m happy to send photo and video updates during every visit so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work a consistent schedule and keep my availability updated. I’m available for morning, evening, and weekend visits, and I’ll always communicate clearly so you know exactly when your pet is being cared for. I understand how important reliability is and strive to be punctual and dependable. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my highest priorities. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions exactly as requested. I’ll keep doors secure, use leashes on walks, provide fresh water, clean up after pets, and send photo updates so you always know how they’re doing.
“Deanna took great care of our Kitty Duncan while we were away! She sent lots of pictures and left detailed accounts of her visits, which helped to set our minds at ease while traveling. This was our second time booking with Deanna and I’m sure Duncan is already looking forward to her next visit.:) Highly recommend - thank you Deanna!”

“Natasha did an amazing job watching our cat! Great communication the entire time and let us know exactly how things were going. We loved getting pictures and videos of our cat as well! We would definitely have her watch our cat again!”

“Alyssa dropped in on my kiddos while my husband and I were both at work. They got a nice walk and attention. She is comfortable with large dogs and equipment (harness, prong collar, martingale collar). During our meet and greet she was very calm with my dogs and I could see she knows how to give dogs respect.”

About: I have grown up with dogs and many other animals (I'm a farm girl). I forster dogs from pets rescue sometimes. So I have experienced with a variety of animals' needs and know how much your pet means to you. My husband and I are currently working from home, so we can always give your pet the attention and care he or she needs. Moreover, we have a medium dog in the house, and could accept less than 4 dogs each time, could separate them in different rooms if it's needed, to make sure your dogs will be fed according to your instructions, get enough attention and be in a caring and loving environment. I have a fenced yard and garden for your dog to have potty breaks, sunbathe, and plenty of space inside the home for rest and playing in. I also received the Covid-19 vaccine and have plenty of clean, filtered water.
About: I have always loved learning about animals, especially since raising and training my own dogs, and I intend on loving your pet as my own. I only moved to California a year ago and haven't been able to find a job so my availability is very open in the summer. I promise to attend to your pet's needs to the best of my ability and make sure they their tail is wagging before I leave.

Lisa is a true professional. She arrived on schedule each day and sent us numerous pictures and videos to keep us updated on the cats’ well-being. We can tell how well our cats are cared for by how quickly they rebound from our absence. When we returned our kitties came out to greet us right away as if we had never left. Not worrying about our fur babies allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dutch Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
