“This was Oso’s first stay with Nicole and Sunshine. It was great! Nicole eased our nerves and was very helpful with introducing the dogs. Looking forward to more doggie play dates now.”

About: I've always had a special communication with animals and being able to spend time with them has always made me happy, and that's what I plan to do for my career. I am a student and athlete at the moment, and I don't have time to get a job with practice and loads of homework so taking care of pets helps me raise some money and still stick to my priorities. I take care of pets just like they are precious babies, I give them all the love they want, always make sure they are happy, and well taken care of.
“Robert was great! He took amazing care of Baloo and May, kept us updated regularly, and was very communicative throughout the stay. We felt completely comfortable leaving our pups with him and would definitely trust him to watch them again. Highly recommend!”

“Jessica took great care of our puppy. Gave us updates throughout the day and treated our dog as of it was one of her own. Definitely will return to Jessica for more doggy day care. Highly recommended”

About: I've taken care of pets since I was 10. I have had small and large dogs, and have taken care of cats. I enjoy going on walks with dogs I am currently a part time student and pretty much have an open schedule. I am never really free around the holidays like christmas and thanksgiving. I have a fenced yard and a 7 year old husky that would love to keep you fur baby company while at my home and we allow our husky on the furniture and bed.
“Sunny always has so much fun at Nadia’s! Sunny gets so excited every time we drop her off. She loves playing with her children and is worn out when we pick her up! I love knowing that she is in good hands. I would recommend her if you are looking for a safe and reliable place for your dog to stay where it gets lots of love!”

“We’ve been bringing Marley to May for two weeks now, and we couldn’t be happier! As pawrents, it’s never easy trusting someone else with your fur baby, but May has been exceptional. It’s clear that Marley is well taken care of, and that means everything to us. Knowing Marley is in good hands while we’re at work gives us so much peace of mind. She truly cares for Marley the same way we do, and that’s rare to find. Thank you, May. We’re grateful.”

“This was our first time using Rover. It was nerve wracking at first thinking about leaving our dog child with a stranger but Tammy went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The whole experience was a breeze! We received photo updates throughout the day so we could see how much fun our boy was having. Tammy was incredibly kind and accommodating we hope to be returning!”

“Deanna, the absolute best! We take our Lady with us on our adventures and the rare times they weren’t dog friendly she’s always been with our good friend. She wasn’t going to be home today so gave Rover a chance, which led me to Deanna. I’m SO grateful to have found her! She responded so quickly and I was able to book right away, the night before our day trip out of town. When we met her this morning she helped ease our nerves immediately with her kindness! She sent photos and updates of Lady throughout the day (SO appreciated). We picked up a happy pup who is so exhausted from all of her playing ? 10/10 would recommend and use again! Thank you!!”

“Morgan and Jack came through in a pinch with just a few minutes notice. I am beyond happy with their service. Lex loves going and Lex hardly barks, but when he sees this family he is so excited he can't stop barking/talking and wagging his tail. I love that I found this family. Lex loves this family.”

“Rachelle is always attentive and loving with our puppy. Her communication is always comforting when we leave our pup with her. Would recommend 100% and definitely will be using her regularly!”

“We had such a great experience with Bianca! She was incredibly attentive to all of our questions and concerns, especially since it was our first time leaving Bolo. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Bolo was happy and comfortable with her right away, and it was clear he was very well taken care of. We’ll definitely be booking with her again—highly recommend!”

About: I’ve done animal boarding and in house daycare. I’ve mostly done doggy boarding. I’ve helped take care of small dogs but I can help with big dogs. I’m a part time student so I can fit pet care into my schedule fairly easily. I’m mostly available during weekdays but can make exceptions when needed I live in an apartment. It has a dog park and yards around for dogs to play. Theres also parks nearby that we can walk or drive to as needed.
“Isabella is absolutely amazing! She was able to get out Stella in for doggy day care with very short notice and absolutely saved our week! She was professional, kind and extremely communicative. Stella had the time of her life playing and swimming with Isabella, Tom and their two dogs Nala and Kiara! We have definitely found our go to pet sitter and are so incredibly grateful for it! Thank you Isabella!”

“Tammy has been an absolute God send! I would give her 10 stars if I could! Tammy has taken SUCH amazing care of our sweet 12 week old puppy, Rose. I took Rose to Tammy’s house for doggy day care, and she welcomed her into the home as if she was part of her family! I felt that my little Rosie was loved, cared for, played with, and safe while in Tammy’s care and it helped put my mind at ease so much. Rose absolutely adored Tammy’s whole family, and I definitely plan on using Tammy on a regular basis :) I feel very fortunate to have found her, and cannot recommend her highly enough! 5 stars!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dutch Village commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
