“Had a great experience with Tammy! My standard poodle had a great time enjoying the family and has a new friend with their French bulldog. Highly recommend!! Thank you Tammy!😊”

“Robert was such a great sitter! Super easy to communicate with and kept me updated with pictures, which made me feel really comfortable since we don’t usually use a sitter. He made the whole experience easy for both me and my dog, and drop off/pick up was super smooth. I’d definitely book with him again and highly recommend him!”

“Robert is amazing with dogs! He made our puppy feel comfortable right away and he provides the dogs a great space to both play and rest. We will definitely be using Robert again!”

“I took my goldendoodle to May for daycare. We met beforehand, which I really appreciated because I would have had a lot of anxiety handing my dog over to someone I didn’t know! May was very responsive and considerate. She asked great questions to get to know my dog and my preferences. Her home was beautiful and clean and I felt safe leaving my pup in her care. I would absolutely book again with her!”

“My dog had a great time at her daycare. She played with her new dog friends and was allowed to run around in the backyard. Jessica took good care of her and she sent me pictures and texts throughout the day to assure me my dog was having a good time.”

About: We offer one-family-at-a-time care with no other pets present (including no pets of our own) and no children in the home, creating a quiet, predictable environment that is especially well-suited for anxious, senior, or sensitive dogs who do best outside busy kennel settings. We enjoy making our space feel like a home away from home for visiting dogs. • Stephanie is home throughout the day most days, while Jon is home evenings and weekends when not working. Between the two of us, your dog receives frequent supervision and companionship throughout the day and evening. • For their safety and comfort, dogs should be able to tolerate short periods alone when needed. If your dog requires more continuous supervision, we’re happy to discuss our constant care option. • We are non-smokers and maintain a clean, quiet home in a peaceful neighborhood, using pet-safe, non-toxic products throughout. • We look forward to speaking with you soon! Stephanie is home most of the day, and Jon is home evenings and weekends when not working, allowing for frequent supervision and companionship throughout your dog’s stay. We have a fully fenced yard where dogs can explore, relax, and enjoy outdoor time. Indoors, dogs can play, unwind, and rest in a supervised setting. • If your dog is familiar with using a doggy door, we can provide access for convenience. • We follow your routines and guidelines whenever possible to support a smooth transition into our care. • While we typically provide one-family-at-a-time boarding, there may occasionally be brief overlaps between stays or carefully matched multi-dog combinations. In these cases, we: * Only accept compatible, temperament-appropriate dogs * Maintain supervision and structure at all times * Notify owners in advance If your dog is not comfortable around other dogs, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

About: Hello! My name is Fidencio, (my family calls me John, and you can too). I am 32 years old and have a long history of caring for dogs in my family. In 2005, my Father rescued a puppy from war torn Iraq. He fell in love with Target, our Iraqi dog, while he was deployed there. I remember my dad calling my mom, begging her to please find a way to get Target home, to California, over 7000 miles away. We went to work as a family finding any possible way to get our small puppy back home. Long story short, because we love animals, we got Target shipped to LAX. Target was what we considered an animal refugee. I remember going on the drive to LAX as a 5th grader to go pick up Target, when I first saw him he was scared, being shipped across the globe and being separated from his owner on the journey. But as soon as we got in the car we broke the crate open, we instantly all fell in love. Dedication to protecting a caring for animals is something that runs deep for me. And opening up our home to do that for others is an honor. I’ve attached some photos of Target, our 1st family dog. Looking at these older photos is such a trip! Blast from the past if you will. My Dad is now retired from the USMC and has a service dog jack, who is pictured above. He loves to play with other dogs and is very friendly. Hope you meet you and your pet soon! I am home full time and will always be there for you and your pet! Can be contacted 24/7 and checkup anytime. I’m just a call away. I care for other pets the same I would care for my own. With love, patience, and care. These things come naturally as an animal lover!

“Melissa was great. She was very communicative and so sweet to us and our dog Juneau. She sent photos during the day which was great. Thank you again for taking care of our dog on Thanksgiving.”
“Alisha and Michael made my very nervous dog feel right at home for day care! I was afraid to leave him while I was in town for a local event, so I really appreciated their attentiveness to him and communication. Can’t recommend them enough!”

“Star was amazing with our 3 pups! They had the best time. She was communicative, reliable, and genuinely caring, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She kept them active and provided the best report card. Highly recommend!”

“We will be a repeat client for sure. They were great with my playful dog and awesome with communicating about updates with pictures, so we really appreciate that. Thank you 👍🏼”

“As someone who struggles with separation anxiety from my babies, Malissa is absolutely the best! She sent so many pictures, videos, and updates throughout the day, which gave me such peace of mind. Your dogs will truly be in great hands with her! They’re gonna looooove their auntie.”

“Tashia was such a great caretaker for our beagle! Our beagle had such a fun time playing with the other dogs - Tashia sent photos and video! You can tell Tashia loves animals and cares about your pet…..we will book her again.”

“My dogs did great! Vincent sent me photos through the day which really eased the anxiety I felt leaving them with someone new. I got to enjoy my family beach day and the dogs were wiped out when they got home🤩”

“Sunny always has so much fun at Nadia’s! Sunny gets so excited every time we drop her off. She loves playing with her children and is worn out when we pick her up! I love knowing that she is in good hands. I would recommend her if you are looking for a safe and reliable place for your dog to stay where it gets lots of love!”

“Nazgul and her family were exceptionally warm and attentive with Midnight. From the moment we arrived, I could tell she would settle in quickly and feel at home. Their updates and photos were thoughtful and reassuring, and it was clear she was genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Nazgul and her family to anyone seeking a safe, loving environment for their pet.”

“Briana was amazing! First time for her to take care of my pup for me! She was very attentive and understanding of all of my asks. She sent tons of photos that helped make me feel more comfortable leaving my boy! Highly recommend!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 834 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Sycamore Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sycamore Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 834 sitters in Sycamore Hills, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
