“Kairo is awesome!! We have a lot of anxiety leaving our dogs, especially since we work remote and they’re used to having us home all the time. She gave us multiple daily updates and sent pictures. Our babies were well taken care of!”

“Cassidy was very sweet, caring and patient with my senior beagle. She was patient and followed all instructions. She communicated regularly and sent photos and videos. I have already requested another booking with her. I recommend Cassidy for your pet.”

“Anthony did a wonderful job caring for our two one-year-old puppies. He was very communicative and kept us updated with great photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. He has a fantastic personality—friendly, reliable, and professional. We’d be happy to book with him again!”

“I hired Kaylee to sit at my home with my Belgian Malinois with separation anxiety. I appreciate her quick responses thru the Rover App, and her willingness to arrive for an early morning appointment. We will definitely call Kaylee again in the near future.”

About: Of all animals I have the most experience with dogs. I love dogs all shapes and sizes We've always had a dog at home and I have lots of experience, caring for playing with and walking dogs, including bath time. I'm a recent graduate of heritage high school. I took agriculture at school and worked with the animals on our school farm I'm looking to do rover as often as possible. I don't have any other obligations at this time. So I can dedicate myself to your pets. I am very careful about fences and doors. I'm mindful of owner instructions regarding where their pets can be. And where they are not allowed. I am mindful of them while they are eaten. And while they are playing, to make sure that they remain safe. I checked the pavement before I take a dog out on walks to make sure it's not too hot and always make sure to wash their bowls so that I can help prevent bacteria
“Kaylah was awesome with both our cat and dog. She was very attentative and had much concern about our cat not eating the first 24 hours. But, the situation resolved with Kaylah’s attempts to make the cat comfortable with her. 😃 She is the first to follow feeding instructions and found our home very clean. She is highly recommended that I’ve already booked her for our next trip.”

“Marissa house sat and dogs sat for us for 3 nights. We really appreciated her ability to adapt. We have a GP who is a rescue. He has become a very sweet and loving dog with us, but we know he can be very territorial, protective and stubborn. He wasn’t easy for her to deal with, but she persevered. When we returned our house was in great shape and she took good care of our boy. We are so glad that we met Marissa. She is willing to come back and deal with our GP and we appreciate that. We will definitely be contacting her again.”

“Sha’rai was great and really took care of our girl while we we were away. My dog is extremely anxious so she went above and beyond to sit with her and eventually got her out on walks. She stayed in communication with us the entire trip. Would highly recommend!!”

“Skylar is the sweetest most caring sitter! Jasper immediately wanted to snuggle up next to her. She sends frequent updates and adorable pics. Very thoughtful and kind individual who you can trust with your fur babies in your home!”

“Lili was wonderful with our boys, Ozzy & Luke. She communicated with us throughout the stay. She sent updates and photos of our pups, which we really enjoyed. She treated the pups and our home with lots of respect. We’re looking forward to her spending more time with our pups in the future. Lili is great, your fur babies will warm up to her immediately. 💛”

“Ebonnie was wonderful, she came earlier then asked to make sure the pups were settled down before she gave them their breakfast. She sent pictures, told us our pups were cuddle bugs and the best. We will use her again”

“I’m so happy we had Maria to take care of our Cane Corso. She stay in communication with me and kept me updated with pictures of “our baby”. She made me feel very comfortable having her in our home. I highly recommend Maria, we will be booking with her again.”

“Air was so great!! Bubba can be aggressive, depending on how you approach him, and he immediately ran up to her and gave her a kiss 🥹 He won’t do a lot of things while I’m gone, but she got him to go outside, potty, fetch, and eat cheese - things he wouldn’t even do for my family off the bat. I appreciated the updates throughout the day, as well as the pictures. This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad that I chose Air to watch Bubba while I was visiting for a wedding 🩷 I would ABSOLUTELY rebook if I lived there!!”

“I’ve never left my dog for this long and Bella made me feel completely at ease. Sending pictures taking my Nellie on walks and giving her lots of love and a ton of play. Thank you”

“Laura was very professional and was completly comfortable with my pets right away. She kept me updated and asked/answered questions as needed. She even took the time to clean up after my dog with incontinence issues. And, lastly she added a sweet touch by putting out a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a note of appreciation. It was hard to leave my vacation, but coming home was great. I would recommend her.”

“Holly took good care of our senior dog Bear. Communicated daily on how he was doing. She genuinely cares and is very knowledgeable about dogs. Bear even gave her kisses (and it takes him a while to warm up to anyone).”

“I couldn’t have been more appreciative of Sandra caring for my boy when I needed it. Sandra being a vet tech made it 10 times better as my boy is in need of daily medications. Communication was amazing and I received the sweetest pictures showing how well he was being cared for. I will definitely book again<3”

“Angela exceeded our high expectations (based on her previous reviews). She was very caring towards our elderly dog, as shown by the questions she asked about her eating habits, where she sleeps etc. Angela is also an outstanding photographer and sent us regular pics of our dog who was clearly very happy spending time with Angela. Angela treated our home with complete respect and it was spotless when we returned. Angela even gave us a detailed list of all the things our dog did for example how she behaves during walks etc. I cannot imagine a better dog-sitter than Angela.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,380 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sycamore Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sycamore Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sycamore Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sycamore Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sycamore Hills. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
