“I hired Kaylee to sit at my home with my Belgian Malinois with separation anxiety. I appreciate her quick responses thru the Rover App, and her willingness to arrive for an early morning appointment. We will definitely call Kaylee again in the near future.”

“Melinda came and introduced herself and met our pups before the start of her house sitting dates and we really appreciated it! She continued to give us updates on how or dogs were doing. And our lab had an accident while she was with them in his kennel and she cleaned him up and his things, and kept an eye on him to let us know if he showed any symptoms of something more seriously wrong. Couldn't have asked for a better sitter to keep an eye on our boys while we were out. Definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs ❤️”
“Emily stepped up at the last minute and as always did a wonderful job taking care of our Scottie and house. When we came back after a week away we hardly knew that she was there as the house was in great condition. We received multiple daily photos and updates and she did a great job doing little projects for us while we were away (watering the flowers, etc). We would highly recommend Emily to you if you desire someone who is reliable and conscientious to care for your pet and property.”

Having worked at a pet hotel and cared for pets throughout my life, I understand the importance of patience, responsibility, and treating every pet like family.
“Anthony did a wonderful job caring for our two one-year-old puppies. He was very communicative and kept us updated with great photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. He has a fantastic personality—friendly, reliable, and professional. We’d be happy to book with him again!”

“My dog took to Kylie immediately. She makes sure to follow all instructions, takes my pup out on plenty of walks and gives love and affection time. It’s fantastic to have a dog sitter I can not only trust but someone who makes my pup feel as loved as I would while I’m away.”

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, and caring for them has always been something I truly love. I have two Shih Tzus of my own, Mikey and Jack, and they mean the world to me. I always joke that I like animals more than people, and honestly, there’s a lot of truth in that. I feel a very natural connection to animals and love making them feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m patient, attentive, and caring, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I have a very open and flexible schedule, and I’m home throughout the day with no other major commitments. I love being active with dogs and am always taking my own dogs on fun walks, little adventures, and exploring, so I naturally enjoy giving pets exercise, fresh air, and quality time. I also love caring for cats and understand that they often need a gentler, calmer, and more patient approach, along with affection on their own terms. In my home, pets are treated like family. My own dogs are allowed on the furniture, sleep in bed with me, and are a huge part of my heart, and I bring that same loving energy to every pet I care for, while always respecting each owner’s preferences and routines. In my client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their familiar environment. My goal is always to make pets feel loved, secure, and at home, while also giving owners peace of mind through updates and photos.

About: Ever since I can remember our dogs and cats have always been apart of my family. From growing up, to having a family of my own, and my now adult children. I have been caring for my daughters 3 dogs and 2 cats for the last 7 years as she and her husband travel for work. Now that they are settled down and home more, I am missing a part of my life that I loved with starting pet sitting as a "job" that will be more of a passion. I am retired, so I am available for daily check ins to all day and overnight stays to keep your furbaby company while you are away. Keeping your furbaby at home is the best option to help reduce stress while you are gone and my favorite way to keep them company and maintain their normal routine in a familiar environment.
About: I’m a dedicated pet parent and small business owner running a father-and-son pet care team. We offer reliable, structured care with clear communication, personalized attention, and photo/video updates so you always know your dog is safe, comfortable, and doing well. We’re different from large, crowded kennels. We only take a limited number of dogs at a time so each pup gets real one-on-one care, not just quick check-ins. Your dog is treated like part of our family known by name, routine, and personality. I have experience with rescue dogs, dogs with PTSD or separation anxiety, and pups who need extra help with confidence, social manners, or routine-based care. I focus on calm, consistent structure while my son brings extra play, snuggles, and companionship. Together, we create a peaceful environment where dogs can relax and feel secure. Each dog’s care plan is tailored to their energy level, age, and needs. Whether your dog is high-energy, anxious, reactive, or laid-back, we keep a steady schedule of walks, potty breaks, enrichment, feeding, and rest so they feel settled and at home. You can expect dependable scheduling, fast responses, and regular updates throughout every visit or stay. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, stress-free experience for both you and your dog, while treating them the way I’d want someone to treat my own pets. I offer boarding, house sitting, daycare, dog walking, and drop-in visits with flexible options to fit your schedule. If you’re looking for a small, family-run, highly personalized alternative to traditional boarding, I’d be happy to care for your pup and welcome them into our Reliable Paws family. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide consistent care throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, dog walking, and drop-in visits during the week and weekends. I make sure pets aren’t left alone for long periods and always get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or visiting yours. For boarding, your dog will have a comfortable, supervised space with regular potty breaks and playtime. For walks and drop-ins, I prioritize safety, leash control, and awareness of surroundings at all times. I treat every pet like my own and provide regular updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing. Reliable Paws Pet Care is fully insured through Pet Care Insurance (PCI) for added peace of mind.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 18. Rescued an older husky, a year later I took in 2 more that people could no longer take care of. After they passed away I helped friends and family with pet sitting. As I was helping a family locate a new home for a yellow lab I took him in and fell in love with him. He rekindled my love for a companion dog. Trained him and was well around other dogs and cats. I’m an outdoorsy person and would go camping and hiking with him. As he got older we decided to let him have an offspring and now we have his son. I take my puppy before work and after work on a walk Saturday is a free day and able to take my dogs out to socialize. Sunday I leave with my dog to church and then comeback home for a family day. While I go to work during the week . My Wife is a stay at home mom who is with the animals while I’m away. I have a fenced backyard with the plenty of room to run. I also a a fur baby with his full shots. We usually give them fruits and veggies for snacks and have kongs toys to keep them entertained. All pets are welcomed in the house and will be given access every hours to use restroom outside as needed. Inside the house the temperature is regulated for comfort. Pets also have access to crates, dog beds and blankets and sofa . We do make treats for our pets and will ask owner before ever giving anything to their dogs.

About: I am extremely reliable, I treat animals with a one of a kind type of affection. I pay good attention to their needs and wants. We live in a nice neighborhood with a close by park. My family adores animals. We have a clean living area.
“Skylar was awesome! We traveled from out of town and last minute decided we needed a dog sitter for a couple days in our hotel room. She was very accommodating. Her response time was always immediate and she sent updates as well as photos of our boy while she was with him. If we come back to California we absolutely will use Skylar again!”

About: I have been a devoted pet caregiver and self owner since the age of 10. I have experience training and care giving for many different type of breeds such as huskies , poodles , jack Russell’s, German shepherds, pit bulls , and more. I always have experience with cats as well and love them just as much. My passion for the genuine care of animals is immense and I would strive to give the best service always. I have been fortunate enough to take some time away from my 9-5 and have had a dire need to pick up a hobby of something I genuinely would LOVE to do. My schedule is completely open to the needs of fur babies! I have one extremely friendly and loving husky who would love to engage with other pets just as much as I would. I have a large fenced backyard for play and gates that block off any potential hazards such as a open road.

FAQs for House Sitting - Sycamore Springs
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 1,398 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sycamore Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sycamore Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sycamore Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sycamore Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sycamore Springs. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
