From the start, her communication was excellent—she kept us updated regularly and sent lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She is incredibly sweet and clearly has a natural connection with animals. She bonded with both dogs right away and took the time to really understand their individual personalities and little quirks. It was obvious they felt comfortable and cared for in her presence. One of our dogs was dealing with some pretty bad allergies during her stay, and Raquel truly went above and beyond to keep him comfortable. She was attentive, thoughtful, and kept us informed every step of the way, which we appreciated so much. About: I have taken care of cats since I was about 10 years old and dogs since I was about 13. Shortly after I moved out I adopted puppy then a kitten. It was definitely fun training my own puppy. I am currently a stay at home mom who also homeschools my kids. Our dogs are taken out for walks during the day and night. We love playing and cuddling with our cats and dogs throughout our school day. We crate our dogs when we are not home. If your pet is needed to be in a crate when you are not home, I can ensure that will happen.

About: Ever since I was a young girl, I have always taken care of my dogs. Family would rely on me to care for them while they were away , and I was always the “animal girl” of the family. I started working for an animal rescue when I was 14 years old, I have experience with most breeds. I also have experience with cats. I have 3 dogs , and 4 cats myself. I work as a veterinary technician locally , and I’ve had my degree since 2023. I’m currently working full time , my schedule is typically Monday - Thursday from 8 am - 6:30 pm. I would be able to care for them before and after work. I am also available Friday - Sunday since I am off. I will follow your instructions on yard time and any precautions for walking. I will watch them as they use the restroom , also keep an eye to ensure the yard stays secure. Of course being beware of any potential visitors. I will essentially be their step in mom.

I grew up in a home with several pets, primarily Golden Retrievers, and had the privilege of helping raise two litters of puppies. Those early experiences taught me the value of patience, consistency, and creating a loving environment where dogs can flourish. When I was sixteen, our family dog welcomed a litter of eleven puppies, and I was actively involved throughout her pregnancy, the delivery, and the puppies’ early development. One of those puppies became my soul dog, deepening my appreciation for the extraordinary bond between dogs and their families. Over the years, I’ve gained knowledge with caring for puppies, adult dogs, seniors, and pets recovering from surgery.
