“As always, Emily goes above and beyond taking care of our home and pets. We are so grateful to have someone we completely trust to stay at our home. House is clean, plants are watered, mail is checked, pets are happy. Thank you Emily!”

“Meghan was an amazing sitter from the get-go! She was thorough in her questions about how to care for our energetic wire fox terrier, Caspar. She also provided excellent updates and photos while we were away. Meghan went above and beyond, taking our dog to the park, looking after him when he was ill, and provided him with plenty of attention - which demonstrates the highest level of care and commitment! Meghan's the best and we highly recommend her services. We'd work with her again in a heartbeat, and I know our terrier would love that too! Thank you so much Meghan! ❤️”

“I hired Kaylee to sit at my home with my Belgian Malinois with separation anxiety. I appreciate her quick responses thru the Rover App, and her willingness to arrive for an early morning appointment. We will definitely call Kaylee again in the near future.”

About: I grew up with golden retrievers, have 3 family dogs, and currently live with my roommates 4 dogs. I do a lot of pet sitting for family and friends, and I know how to walk with dogs that are dog aggressive as well as dogs that are overly friendly. I was a volunteer helper in HVOC puppy and Beginner One classes for several years and participated in classes with our family dog. I have done a lot of cat sitting and know when a cat wants attention and wants to be left alone. I have administered medication to friendly cats and dogs, but I am not comfortable giving medication to reactive animals. I do work regular hours during the day most week days. I am available to stay with your animals every minute outside of those hours. I love to spend time with your animals. I am willing to go for walks up to 2 miles long, and will happily put on a podcast and play games with them until they are ready to be done. I also love to just cuddle and relax with dogs. I like to have a list of all the commands the dogs know, as well as any allergies, triggers, ect.
“Anthony did a wonderful job caring for our two one-year-old puppies. He was very communicative and kept us updated with great photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. He has a fantastic personality—friendly, reliable, and professional. We’d be happy to book with him again!”

About: I have always had a love for dogs. Growing up we had two black labs (big big dogs) and I would do everything with them and just took a lot of pride In making sure they were always taken care of emotionally and physically. Since getting older I have loved taking on rolls of helping family friends with watching or walking their dogs and giving them the same treatment I would give to my own. I currently just moved to the Temecula area so at the moment I do not have a job so I am totally free and open to take on the roll of caring for multiple dogs ! I understand that all dogs are different and some just need a little more one on one play time so that would never be an issue (would never be in a rush)! I also love going on long walks as it’s a form of exercise for me so your dog will never get a bare minimum walk being in my hands:) I treat any dog like it’s my own and I understand what it’s like to leave your dog with a stranger and be so scared of the what if’s so I take a lot of pride in communicating with the owner and sending pics to let them know their baby is in good hands, having fun, and being cared for as they wished! I also encourage cameras inside clients homes because I know that you can never get enough extra reassurance and it’s always good to make sure your animal is genuinely being taken care of as the care taker says! So if you have cameras in your home I will never have an issue ! I love to make sure both me and client are comfortable for their pets best interest!

“Eucalyptus was fantastic, she was so patient with everyone, took time to make sure all the dogs felt loved, kept up with all the routines, and made it the least stressful she could for everyone. Definitely will be using her services again.”

“BOOK WITH HANNAH! I’ve had several sitters from this app stay at my home with my dog Sam and Hannah is by far the best out there. She handled a difficult pet health situation with my pup so confidently and seamlessly. She cleaned up and left the house looking great and sent lots of pictures of my pup an my cats. I will absolutely be requesting to book with her again.”
“Nick was amazing! We originally had another dog sitter scheduled, but they canceled an hour after the first day of service began. Luckily, Nick responded right away and was at our house within the hour to help care for our dogs on such short notice! One of our pups is very shy, but the photos Nick sent showed her happily playing with her ball, which made us so happy to see. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our dogs and for the wonderful pictures. You’re incredibly talented!”

About: Over ten years in caring for fur babies. I will play with, walk, cuddle, and care for your pet just like my own. Working remotely I can give extra time and attention to each pet keeping them content and happy. I’ve completed basic dog obedience training with my own large breed dog. All sizes are welcomed! I currently work as a remote Virtual Assistant with the ability to work around your schedule. Staying in your home enables me to give extra attention and care to your pet. Pets often prefer to be on their own home and I do my best to stick to the daily routine the pet is accustomed to. Keeping a list of activities, feedings, meds, I feel will help lessen anxiety of having owners away.
About: Ever since I can remember, myself as well as my family have loved and enjoyed dogs and they have always been a part of our family. I got my first puppy when I was 12 years old. She was a rescue and I had her until I was 26 years old. Her name was Molly. We had many other dogs during that time. My sister's and I were who cared for them all. Although this is my first time running a business caring for dogs, I have taken care of dogs most of my life. Some people call themselves a "people person". I call myself a "dog person". I have always had a natural ability to connect with dogs. Dogs have always loved being with me. I care for them as if they were a child of mine. As I always have said, the more I get to know people; the more I love dogs! I'm currently a student at home so, I am available to give your pet my undivided attention. I treat all animals as if they are my own, like family. I love to spend quality time with animals. I also have good hygiene. I believe this is important because we all know how dirty animals can be. I am gentle and loving.
“Megan is a gem! She took great care of our dog, Blu, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. She was a great communicator, kept our home clean, exactly as we left it, walked Blu every day, and sent us photos that always made us smile. We also appreciated that she took the time to do a meet-n-greet before our trip. Megan is kind, dependable, and genuinely caring. We feel so lucky to have found her and look forward to booking with her again!”

“Maria did a great job taking care of Abby. Abby had the best time. Maria sent me pictures and videos everyday. Which made my day. Maria took care of Abby like she would her own dog. I would definitely have her watch Abby again and I would definitely recommend her to watch someone else dog. She is great .”

“We were very appreciative of Beth, our dog ended up having separation anxiety that we we did not anticipate and she kept us informed and did her best to keep our dog calm while we were away. Beth was very easy to communicate with, we would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Thank you Beth!”
“David and Beth did a great job looking after our pets while we were away. They were understanding and flexible when a few unexpected things came up, which really put us at ease. We appreciated their care and would be happy to have them look after our pets again in the future!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Aguanga
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,480 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aguanga. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Aguanga walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Aguanga maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aguanga choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aguanga. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
