Why I love dog sitting Born and raised on the coast of Oregon, there were always dogs in our lives. Horses and dogs have always been a passion of mine. In 1994, after finishing a year of dog training school, I opened my home to dogs for training, weight loss and boarding. Meet my pets Other dogs, and two horses. Wild squirrels, bunnies, birds and lizards for my guests entertainment. About my yard My home is on four and a half acres out in wine country. Three acres I can easily see at all times is fenced. There are areas right around my house for the smaller and older guests, then there is the large dog area which is a couple acres. Plenty of room to roam, shade trees, six wading pools, dog beds everywhere. My experience administering medication I will administer medications with the exception of IV shots.

In 2005, my Father rescued a puppy from war torn Iraq. He fell in love with Target, our Iraqi dog, while he was deployed there. I remember my dad calling my mom, begging her to please find a way to get Target home, to California, over 7000 miles away. We went to work as a family finding any possible way to get our small puppy back home. Long story short, because we love animals, we got Target shipped to LAX. Target was what we considered an animal refugee. I remember going on the drive to LAX as a 5th grader to go pick up Target, when I first saw him he was scared, being shipped across the globe and being separated from his owner on the journey. But as soon as we got in the car we broke the crate open, we instantly all fell in love. Dedication to protecting a caring for animals is something that runs deep for me. And opening up our home to do that for others is an honor. I’ve attached some photos of Target, our 1st family dog. Looking at these older photos is such a trip! Blast from the past if you will. Over the course of those 5 years I’ve cared for all of the following animals: dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, turtles, lizards, hamsters, rabbits and horses. I’m in college getting an animal science degree and I’ve worked with a wide age range of animals. From puppies all the way to senior dogs and kittens all the way to elderly cats. *please know that while my listed prices are accurate additional surcharges may apply. (All prices will be disclosed before booking) I have a lot of availability for pet care in my schedule, I do have college classes I must attend and the occasional appointment with these being non-negotiable blocks of time I must leave the clients home to attend (which will be discussed ahead of time). However aside from that I have a plethora of time available to dedicate solely to your pet(s). *jobs that are “constant care” and/or have strict rules regarding how long the pet(s) can be left alone WILL incur a surge charge. I haven’t had a pet escape or get lost on my watch yet, and I don’t plan to start now. My childhood dog escaped once as kid, and even thought he was quickly found, it made me realize the horror of potentially losing a pet. As a result, I take pet safety very seriously. I have time every day to either walk dogs, do checks in, and watch pets overnight and/or for extended periods. I always keep a watchful eye on any animal in my care. About: I don’t have issues with watching/walking more than one dog at a time. I’ve been pet sitting/house sitting for my friends/neighbor’s two dogs for the past 3 years. I have an 11 year old Shiba Inu who I love to death. Even though he can be a brat at time. My dog lives with my mom, so house sitting for you will not be an issue. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and for the past 13 years I’ve been consistently caring for my own pups. Over the years I’ve worked with just about every breed you can imagine: Terriers, Huskies, Dobermans, Pitbulls, Boxers, Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Labs, Schnauzers, Poodles, Pomeranians, Border Collies, German Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, and more.
