“Amanda did a great job with drop-in visits for our two cats. She is friendly, thorough, communicates well, and the cats clearly like being around her—an excellent experience overall.”
“Kitty is so wonderful with our pups! We know that she gives them extra attention and lots of love which is so important to us! We look forward to future house-sitting with the pups!”

“Ako watched our French bulldog in our hotel room during our wedding. She was incredibly welcoming and sweet, Reef loved her! She sent us photos and updates throughout the night to make us feel at ease.”

“Shalom was a lifesaver during an unexpected trip and difficult time. This was my first experience using rover and I was initially very afraid to leave my two senior kitties alone at home. She gave us a ton of reassurance with lots of daily pictures, videos, and updates which eased our concerns. She was very attentive to our cat’s needs, providing medication, treats, and playtime. I felt good knowing a fellow cat lover and someone experienced with cats of her own was looking out for my guys, caring for them, wnd checking in on them multiple times a day. I would highly recommend booking with her and know we will be rebooking with her for our next vacation❤️🌟”

“Maddie was great. I watched on my camera as my dog barked and ran from her at first but then once she got him she was like his best friend. She kept me updated and sent me pics of my baby playing and chilling on her lap.”

“Alyssa dropped in on my kiddos while my husband and I were both at work. They got a nice walk and attention. She is comfortable with large dogs and equipment (harness, prong collar, martingale collar). During our meet and greet she was very calm with my dogs and I could see she knows how to give dogs respect.”

“This was my very first experience using Rover, and the process couldn’t have been easier thanks to Anthony. He walked me through every step of setting up the drop-in appointments and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. During our family trip, I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in such good hands. Anthony’s care, attention to detail, and genuine passion for animals really stood out. I’ll absolutely feel confident reaching out to him again for future dog-sitting needs. Thank you so much, Anthony, for taking such amazing care of Echo and Mochi, your dedication truly shows!”

“Rachelle did a great job with our senior cat (14+). She was accommodating, flexible and communicative throughout the process and worked with us at every stage over 4 days. Highly recommended.”

“Martin is extremely attentive to detail and very good at communicating. He was also very sweet and gentle with Storm. He made sure she got potty breaks and took her for walks and fed her dinner with no issue. We didn’t have poop bags so he used some of his own. Highly recommend Martin to care for your fur baby!”
“Jasmine helped me so much this week; arranged a meet and greet with our precious standard poodle puppy who was recovering from surgery, wearing a cone and needed a check in. Very professional and calmed my concerns about leaving him in her good hands. Her check in with him great as she made sure he did his business outside, enjoyed the sun, was fed, watered and loved on. Even checked his stitches to give me peace of mind. I felt so happy to receive the photos she took and the update of how he was doing. This week was my first experience with Rover and I am so very thankful to Jasmine for helping me to initiate that. I highly recommend Jasmine, she is amazing. I am forever grateful.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
